Yes Hyuki looks  good.  What I like most about these PC photos is that Hyuki seems to exude confidence.    He should be.  Tunnel’s ratings have been good.  I hope the writer continuously delivers a good script for the rest of the episodes.   Hope to see the cast & staff will get a bonus  vacation.  However I couldn’t hardly wait for the next episode.

PS Break is over.    New episodes  start this week  .  DRKqp9z.gif

@booha i personally love that cjk looks good in anything plus i love that he has his hair back for the press conference...:D

But i guess there has been some negative feedback from the public regarding his attire and hairstyle...:(

@boohathx for that sweet photos of his comeback with his wife! i just finished watching the latest epi & woah i must say this is one of da best episodes - while watching i was just impressed with the writer too as to how in the world he/she is brilliant enough to write something like this Tunnel drama!  i'm just speechless :) i was holding my breath when he was running again towards the tunnel & trying to catch that culprit and thot oh noooo he's gonna leave his wife again & go back to 2017! woah i can't wait to see tomorrow's episode! i can't remember now but is this only 16 epis? i wished it to be more than that! :bawling:

@wildaffairs i think i like him either way with his hair like that in the pix or with this style like in this photo here:

@hibiscus23   Well this was the first time I became teary most of the time watching a crime drama. :lol:  EP13 was a tearjerker.  I was so happy KH&YS were reunited but the way they sobbed so hard together made me cry too.  It was hard to watch how YH/JY reacted to KH’s absence in the dark empty place.  There are many heartfelt moments in EP13&14.   Thank god  for more good ratings for EP14.  :)

@msrose122    Hi me too I thought he looked good in PC.   So I’m a bit surprised to hear some didn’t see him like we did.   tututuu   Yeah over the years I have seen countless pictures of him.  hehe (way too many of them by now)   Once in awhile there were some pictures which could have been better but most of the time his photo images were excellent.  Unlike some other actors who seem to carry on the same facial expression on picture after picture,  it seems CJH likes to play around with different concepts for each photo shoot or event.  Of course he would like to see good photos of himself always but I think he prefers more about expressing different parts of his personality/interests.    Maybe some didn’t understand about this with CJH.

** Our Hyukssi is very happy with the ratings

Hi hibiscus, thanks for sharing your thoughts about the drama. It's an amazing drama. It's thrilling, emotional, full of action & it even has bits of humor. For me, this series is one of the most successful series in OCN. “Tunnel” aired last May 13 I heard scored its highest viewer ratings yet of 5.5 percent, with real-time ratings peaking at 6.2 percent.  They deserve it! As far as I remember the drama started off at 2.8 percent in its pilot episode and has been enjoying a steady rise in its ratings. I love the strong storyline of this drama. Time flies so fast that there are only three episodes left for this drama - It will be interesting to see if “Tunnel” will come out on top as the most-watched OCN drama! OCN's dramas keep getting better and better.  "Tunnel" is a must- watch crime drama! It makes my heart race.  "Tunnel" fighting!

[HanCinema's Drama Review] "Tunnel - Drama" Episode 14

photo848387.jpg

It is not easy discovering that your rugged resilience and athletic running can bend time, but that is exactly the unwanted ego trip our Gwang-ho receives in episode fourteen of "Tunnel - Drama". We have tearful reunions, awkward shifts in relationship dynamics and a killer who knows a bit too much for comfort. The team has to find evidence against him and guess where that evidence can be found.

We are now sure that the past and present we know connect, although the writing does not go deeper into causality than case-related points. The characters who know the truth retain both sets of existences, which means a happy ending where everyone remembers what happened while Gwang-ho (Choi Jin-hyuk) returns is still possible. I am not sure how the series would handle the differences new lives would bring to our characters, but I am going in too deep.

Gwang-ho unloading fatherly fussing on Jae-iJin-woo's pen in the past

I have more things going through my head than our beloved tunnel has men running through it and those include see some flaws in how the team is going about this case. At this point, Mok Jin-woo (Kim Min-sang-I) should not have been able to slip by so easily. Also, while everyone is after the pen, where are the security cameras? Gwang-ho was tracked from the hospital to the tunnel, so why are they not looking for the killer the same way?

As for said pen, the thing will have several prints on it and any blood left will be over thirty years old, despite belonging to victims that died in the present. It will be in the possession of Jae-i (Lee Yoo-young), essentially having come from nowhere. Does the source of the evidence not matter as long as it has the suspect's prints and victims' blood on it? That is assuming proof or witnesses can connect the pen to Mok Jin-woo in the first place.

Jin-woo eavesdropping on the teamTae-hee and Min-ha can't even

Magical time traveling pen aside, other elements reveal the writer's struggle to keep things going. Mok Jin-woo's espionage gadgetry is truly a stretch and a half. While he gloats over his own genius, I cannot help but imagine Seon-jae (Yoon Hyun-min) throwing it in the trash as he exits or keeping it close while he watches porn. I know the possibilities of reality are naturally eliminated when fiction needs to get its way, but it is still silly.

Now that the series re-damsels Jae-i for its plans, I imagine the next episode will cover the chase to get her, which thankfully includes the whole team now. I am eager to see if kidnapping someone at a busy place in broad daylight will leave no traces, because at this point the evidence against our killer should be piling up. I am trying here, "Tunnel - Drama", but you need to help me a little.

"Tunnel - Drama" is directed by Sin Yong-hwi and Kim Seong-min-I, written by Lee Eun-mi-III and features Choi Jin-hyuk, Yoon Hyun-min and Lee Yoo-young.

[HanCinema's Drama Review] "Tunnel - Drama" Episode 13

photo848311.jpg

Spoiler

Gwang-ho has returned to his life, but there is a lot of work to be done in the past and present of "Tunnel - Drama". As our time traveling hero struggles to create a case against Mok Jin-woo at a time where technology is still underdeveloped, our team in the present start a search for their partner and look into the reason for his disappearance. Despite Gwang-ho's return, the present is not changing and we soon find out the why.

Gwang-ho's (Choi Jin-hyuk) return is an emotional one, but it is also sweet and simple. This is very characteristic of the couple's life and I feel Yeon-sook's (Lee Si-ah) reaction to the truth is one which adds to this endearing relationship. She trusts Gwang-ho and his words and he in turn relies on her for support. Jae-i's (Lee Yoo-young) trip down memory lane, on the other hand, is an unnerving part of the episode only somewhat clarified by its ending.

Gwang-ho and Yeon-sook enjoying a boat rideJae-i retraces her steps

Before getting to the ending, however, I have to say that Jae-i is not the only one having an odd reaction to this situation. The way in which all the characters in the future who know the truth think about Gwang-ho's return is very distracting. Nobody is considering that the present should have changed or have been changing due to his travel. They talk about him as if he has gone to another world without contemplating his influence on the now.

Unrealistic reactions from Team Present aside, the episode ends with a possible explanation for this lack of influence. If past and present are on the same timeline, there are two ways in which the present could remain the same after Gwang-ho's brief trip back. One would be if the present only changes after key points in the past do. Since time flows at the same speed, Gwang-ho not having reached such a point in the past would explain the lack of changes in the present.

Yeong-ja avoiding her traumatic pastGwang-ho back in the present

However, this would make things too complicated for the final episodes and Gwang-ho would still change the present we know eventually. What happens at the end of episode thirteen is a more reasonable explanation. I find it highly possible that Gwang-ho's final stop will be the present. As sad as this will be for several characters, it is the only way to leave the present and everyone we know in it unchanged for good.

Of course the ending could be a combination of both. Gwang-ho could return again and slowly change the present we know. Whichever the case, I am dying to see what happens and I hope the series will not disappoint with its resolution for the murders and Gwang-ho's travels. For now, the challenge will probably be to keep young Yeong-ja (Kim Hye-yoon) and Jae-i safe from our killer.

"Tunnel - Drama" is directed by Sin Yong-hwi and Kim Seong-min-I, written by Lee Eun-mi-III and features Choi Jin-hyuk, Yoon Hyun-min and Lee Yoo-young.

"Tunnel - Drama" Choi Jin-hyuk and Lee Yoo-young reunite

photo848382.jpg

Choi Jin-hyuk and Lee Yoo-young reunited.

On the latest episode of the OCN drama "Tunnel - Drama", Park Gwang-ho (Choi Jin-hyuk) and Sin Jay (Lee Yoo-young) met.

While Park Gwang-ho was running after young Mok Jin-woo (Kim Min-sang-I) in the past he time-slipped into the present. He looked for Jeon Seong-sik (Jo Hee-bong) to catch Mok Jin-woo and Jeon Seong-sik told Kim Seon-jae (Yoon Hyun-min) that Park Gwang-ho was back. Kim Seon-jae came out to meet Park Gwang-ho with Sin Jay.

As soon as she saw Park Gwang-ho, her eyes widened and she started to cry. Park Gwang-ho asked why and Kim Seon-jae said, "She knows everything". Park Gwang-ho said, "Know what? Are you...?" He looked at Sin Jay and called her, "Yeon-ho..."

Sin Jay looked at Park Gwang-ho and cried, "I was alone. I didn't think I had anyone". Park Gwang-ho took her hands and cried together. He said, "I'm so sorry. I tried to put everything back".

Meanwhile, Sin Yeon-sook (Lee Si-ah) who was left alone, touched her whistle and said, "Gwang-ho is gone again. I am going to wait for him. He'll be back because he knows I'm waiting".

@willenette

Thank you for the postings   Now Tunnel team is getting a reward vacation to Guam at the end of May.  CJH & YHM & LYY haven’t decided whether they are going to Guam or not.  But I don’t think CJH will take the Guam trip. He has to catch up so much for his career now on.   I have a feeling he might pick a movie  for his next project.  You know about a movie project.   Unlike a drama which we will have more opportunity to see him working,  a movie isn’t  that generous.  Making a movie is a long project and he can only show limited BTS to his fans in between.    However CJH now has a very active agency which has been working hard to promote his work.  So hopefully his agency will work hard continuously for him and his fans.   :)

Tunnel’:  “Around  at the end of May  the reward vacation to Guam has been confirmed”

CJH&YHM&LYY haven’t yet decided about making the trip.

Hi booha, thanks for sharing this. Wow - I’m so happy for the cast and crew! They all did an amazing job. They deserve this reward vacation. Super happy with this good news.  Ahhh...no wonder Choi Jin Hyuk put Guam in his Instagram caption last week. So happy that "Tunnel" is doing so well.  I'm happy that the drama has broken the record to become the new highest-rated drama in OCN’s history.  Cable network OCN is really on a roll now. It has built a reputation for high-quality thrillers.  I enjoyed watching it so much.  Nicely played, OCN!  "Tunnel" will finish its run on May 21 - time flies so fast.  I will miss this drama after it ends this week. I can't wait for the finale' this weekend. South Korea is developing a broad appreciation for the thriller, mystery genre. Everything in this drama seems to be shaping up nicely! The acting, story and most of all the pacing have all been impressive. I remember that Choi Jin-hyuk and Yoon Hyun-min promised to do a mini concert if they reach 10%. Crossing my fingers - CJH is so wonderful here. He is absolutely amazing! He's nailing this role. So happy that his comeback drama is a success.  It's a damn good drama.  Each episode just gets better and better. I'm so proud of the entire "Tunnel team." I've been recommending it to everyone! The mystery and suspense has been great.  Congratulations to "Tunnel". Congratulations to CJH!

6 Reasons To Watch “Tunnel” Before It’s All Over And There Are Spoilers Everywhere

Tunnel-main-photo.jpg

Tunnel” is on its tail end, and if you still haven’t hopped on the bandwagon, here are more reasons for you to start catching up because things are getting really interesting.

Spoiler

1. It’s a time travel story (with a twist)

Yes, it’s another time travel drama, and if you’re a complete K-drama addict, you probably know the most basic essential in moving from one era to another: that one thing that connects the two worlds. In “Signal,” a powerful walkie-talkie connects a man from the past with someone from the future, and in “Tomorrow With You,” the lead travels in between times via subway train. As you might have guessed from the title, a tunnel connects the old and the modern day in “Tunnel.” The drama’s starting point is the year 1985. Choi Jin Hyuk plays the role of Park Kwang Ho, a detective whose life is in an “almost” happy ending; he just got married to his longtime crush, and he is a well-known legend in his job. All of that changes when he pursues a serial killer responsible for murdering women, and the chase leads them to a tunnel.

What makes “Tunnel” different from the other dramas is that Kwang Ho is stuck in the future with no way to get back. Even going back to the same tunnel doesn’t return him to the 80s, unlike the other two dramas where one can physically crossover or make radio conversations to the past and future in a predictable manner. It seems like he has to solve cold cases and piece together puzzles before he can finally go back to the time where he belongs.

tunnel.jpg

2. Watch out for the appearance of VIXX’s N

Detective Kwang Ho just got out of the tunnel that leads to modern-day Seoul, and before he realizes where he is, a raging car comes out of nowhere, almost killing him. Inside, the driver is VIXX’s N, whose name is Kwang Ho too! This mysterious character comes out of nowhere, distraught with a bloodied face and fear in his eyes. He seems to be in pursuit of someone else. Is he connected to the murder in some way? Why does he have the same name? Will he die or stay alive in the drama? And why is he so damn cute even when his face is all contorted with panic?

VixxN-Tunnel.jpg

3. The detective group is actually really hilarious

When Kwang Ho returns to the police station, something’s amiss. He is fast-forwarded 30 years where all the gadgets are modern and his co-detectives are all different. Luckily, he gets mistaken for a new junior police officer who was supposed to transfer to their unit. Jeon Sung Sik (who looks 30 years older than Kwang Ho) is the only person who recognizes him as his senior from the past police station. They both have to keep his literal past a secret from the others. Korea is very big on hierarchy, order, and respect for ranking, and Kwang Ho is basically considered as a newbie in the modern world. Kwang Ho, who’s basically an ahjussi with years of experience in his field, gets treated as the maknae of the group, and there’s hilarious rudeness all around.

tunnel02.jpg

tunnel04.jpg

4. Anyone and everyone can be the killer.

It may be a classic case of whodunnit, but the cliffhangers each episode can make viewers think twice about who they suspect the culprit is. Take it from the Korean netizens in online communities who all say that the drama keeps them on the edge of their seats, and that it’s so thrilling that they can’t wait for the next episode. If this were a novel, it would be a page turner. Could it be the fierce professor who teaches criminology? The elegant and fashionable old lady with gray hair? Could it be the cheerful doctor/coroner who inspects the dead bodies? Or the guy who’s always wearing a black hoodie lurking around? It’s always the one who wears the hoodie! Your guess is as good as mine.

tunnel-suspects.jpg

5. It’s a good exercise for your brain.

If you need a breather from all the romantic dramas and you’re quite tired of the same plot, then this drama is for you. It can get gritty and scary, yet thrilling and alluring.

Tunnel-scene2.jpg

6. The detective partners could be your next OTP.

They’re like Tom and Jerry wherever they go, but when it comes to serious business, Kwang Ho and Kim Sun Jae (played by Yoon Hyun Min) are a match made in heaven. And it also helps that they both look like dashing heroes. They get on each other’s nerves, but when they put their heads together, they’re able to move the chess pieces together in order to get close to catching the suspect.

tunnel-pair.jpg

6. Watch Choi Jin Hyuk go through all stages of emotion in this drama.

From being like a puppy in love, to confusion, panic, rage, to being cool and collected, Choi Jin Hyuk shows it all. He is proving to be quite a strong actor, well-deserving the lead role. Watch it and you’ll find yourself going through the same feels too!

@willenette  Your last posting is very fun to read.  Thank you for posting it.   You are right about the sequels/part2 …    I generally  don’t want to see sequels  but sometime I can’t help wishing for  it when a drama doesn’t let go of me.   hehe    You know we watch a drama with our hearts on sleeves.

@willenette   @hibiscus23

It seems CJH is having a bit of separation anxiety with PKH as Tunnel is coming to the end.  That’s what happens when an actor completely submerges into the character.   Besides I think CJH really likes the PKH character on a personal level.
