Latest Photo of Yoo Seung Ho Teaching New Recruits in the Military  

Actor Yoo Seung Ho is receiving the spotlight from the public once again.

On January 16, the 27th Infantry Division posted a photo of Yoo Seung Ho on its official website. He is in the middle of explaining to the new recruits about the training program.

Yoo Seung Ho secretly entered the military on March 5 last year in Chuncheon, Gangwon-do for his five week basic military training. He was immediately transferred the the 27th Infantry Division and is currently serving as an assistant drill sergeant for new recruits.

It’s reported that he will be discharged at the end of this year on December 4.

When Yoo Seung Ho had decided to enlist in the army last year, many fans had to bid farewell to the actor for two years. Thankfully, a recent military ad has shown how the actor has been progressing during his time in the military.

On March 17, SBS’ “Good Morning – Live Entertainment Special” aired a military advertisement that Yoo Seung Ho had filmed. In the promotional video, the actor is seen paying his respects to fallen soldiers while accompanying a war veteran. In the video, Yoo Seung Ho showed his healthy face, along with a bulkier body, displaying how the actor has worked diligently in his military unit.

As the actor had secretly enlisted back in March 2013, Yoo Seung Ho is set to be discharged in December of this year. We salute Yoo Seung Ho and all the soldiers of the Republic of Korea who are serving the country.

SBS airs clip of Yoo in Army

The SBS morning show “Good Morning” yesterday offered a teaser clip of Yoo Seung-ho’s life in the Army, ahead of the video’s full release, slated for March 24. 

The clip featured the 20-year-old actor pushing the wheelchair of Korean War veteran Han Dong-soo, who fought in the Battle of Yeongcheon in September 1950.

Fans responded enthusiastically to the clip, posting positive comments on the “Good Morning” website. 

After launching his career at the age of 7 in television dramas, Yoo rose to prominence in the 2002 film “The Way Home,” where he played a young boy forced to spend the summer with his mute grandmother in the countryside. 

The low-budget film became a surprise hit, with more than 4 million admissions and turned Yoo into Korea’s most beloved younger brother. 

Yoo surprised Korea again last year when he quietly enlisted in the Army - most big celebrities in Korea wait until their late 20s to do their mandatory military service. 

Yoo will reportedly finish his service on Dec. 4.
