Hahahaha, I thought it was because Korean's don't really pronounce the letter F well....
eg/ In "30 but 17/Still 17" the cute dog's name is Fang but they pronounce it "Peng", and the running joke on the name of the drama "Oh My Venus"
Either way it's quite funny, made me laugh too!

Initially I thought like that too, but at the end of the sequence I think the emphasis was on the fact that he didn't want his first love to forget him because he loved her - remember if he gets the marble back it also wipes her memory. He wanted to live happily with her. He finally let his first love go and was going to get the marble back from her but it was too late. That's why he has tried his best not to be attached to anyone else since until he met Dam.

I'm so happy I found this forum as I don't know anyone else who watches K-dramas!
I will try and answer your questions, but these are my opinions from watching kdramas for the past years so please correct me if I'm wrong!
1) The controversy is that in Korea netizens and "fans" tend to have very unrealistic expectations about idols and celebrities they like. They are not allowed to date, they have to not have anything at all that might taint their image (ie/background education, family connections). So to find out after all these years that WJ and IH were in the same agency and they probably dated, they draw the conclusion that 1) WJ left the agency and dumped his first love for another agency that made him famous and 2) IH is now using her connections with him to get famous
2) I don't think it's shameful to be from Alaska, but the CEO painted a picture of WJ having had a good education, from a well do do family who donates, all positives in the netizens eyes, when in fact he doesn't know who his father is, his mum is missing or hiding, and like WJ says in an earlier episodes "he's just a country boy from Alaska".

Hi there!! My thoughts and observations on Episode 6 :
- Dam and Dan's Mum was really cool. I was dead scared of her (and for Dam) but she turned out to be the coolest Kdrama Mum, even openly supporting OTP lol.
- That blind date was so ... *face-palm* I am happy Oroshin magicked the chair on him, but would've loved to see Dam snap back at his arrogant unpleasant condescending rudeness for herself, I'm not used to Dam NOT speaking her mind!
- The "co-incidence" of Dam's top with the words "Forget-Me-Not" right after we saw our Gumiho deciding to make her forget him after we were given the history with his first love
- Someone tell our Gumiho that being "Nieced" is definitely worst than being friend-zoned on the the social scale
- Dam has the greatest friends, they can be psycho with her but really do care about her.
- Very little second lead Seo Woo today. I almost wish they would utilise him a bit more even though Dam made it clear she wants nothing to do with him. I want him to redeem himself to her. He hasn't really shown enough remorse to her even though we as the audience see in other scenes that he really does have feelings for her and feels bad.
- I always want to eat grilled meat after watching any Gumiho Dramas!
Lastly, I am watching this, Imitation, So I married an AntiFan and Doom At Your Service - If your boyfriend is not a celebrity or a supernatural being are you even dating?

I have loved 12 episodes of this drama. Ep 13 still cute but tainted with sadness. First time I feel depressed watching a preview for this drama though
Hope we get over the inevitable "bump on the road" quickly and not too stupidly!

OK I have finished all 16 episodes
Really enjoyed the story. Nicely paced being 16 episodes long, no unnecessary separation and fillers just for the story to be dragged out!
SpoilerGreat twist at the end, a few unexpected turn of events. Happy Ending!
Would love to see ML in other projects. He did brooding but smitten Lee very well!

I am up to Episode 13. I really like the drama. It's not perfect but I forgive it because the ML is so swoony hahahaha.
The pacing in the first part is excellent in delivering the back story interwoven with the present day happenings. I did get a bit frustrated a bit in the middle few episodes where the annoying trope of the ML "protecting the FL by not telling her anything". But the drama is only 16 episodes so things drag out a lot less than the other 24, 36 or even 40 episode cdramas.

He knows her . Theoretically he was known as "Lee" to her back then, and his name is "Lee Tung"now and he is a security agent.
SpoilerI don't think that he faked his death as much as that he was injured so badly that they thought he was dead.
He gets near her again to try and get his hands on the coin. They DO explain how she ends up having the coin later.
ML's acting is pretty good in this, he plays the cool guy trying to act distant pretty well, I guess it's less challenging than the FL's role. The FL is ok, but considering that she is an actress who PLAYS an actress in this drama, I do find it difficult to figure out her emotions as she looks mildly annoyed most of the time. I really like the ML's right hand man as well and hope he gets more dramas as the main lead!

I had a look on Baidu and it looks like Wallace and Diddi were both voiced dubbed but not the others. Probably because Wallace was born in HK and lived in Taiwan so his accent is not the one they want for this. Not sure about Diddi's voice

Ep 33 part 3:
SpoilerXY feeding CY still who is looking awkward. She says she can see now so she can feed herself. She tells him to eat the bun. He says the bun is soft... like her cheeks last night, so he couldn't bring himself to bite it. (HAHAHAHAHA so cheesy) So cheesy that CY drops her spoon, he calls her a pighead (affectionately) and says he'll feed her. CY asks him to be more normal, she's not used to him like this. He's like, you'll get used it. HAHAHAHAHAHA.
CY says "but we're not married"
XY : "it's already organised"
CY : "But......" Mr Bai and all the men are watching them.
XY : Mr Bai, I already said we will go after I finish feeding her.
Mr Bai : " But we've already been waiting for 2 hours"
XY : Oh that's right, it's already been 2 hours, this congee is cold, I must go heat it up.
CY : Not cold not cold not cold, if I don't eat this quickly you wont' go right? - She gulps it down and you can see the congee is steaming! Finished!
XY : (wiping her mouth) clumsy
XY tells CY to stay here, he is going to find something on DS, so no one can drag her to become the Diviner, and no one will harm her. CY nods, but XY says she should speak. She quietly agrees. XY : So quiet, that is not like you at all!" CY says that it's because until now she still feels like she is in a dream.
XY : CY, it's all my fault, I made you lose trust in me. Too much has happened between us, I said I would protect you, but it's me who has hurt your heart the most. (CY says it's not his fault) Before NX hurt you, I already thought it through. If my brother's sacrifice was in exchange for us to live in harmony, then we should treasure the lives we have together now. Life is short, we are not abnormal people, just an average husband and wife. We can't live for every body, we can only do what is right for our hearts. (CY nods like a fangirl, I would too that was a lovely speech by XY!) I'm going now.
XY flicks his cloak over his shoulders and hero-walks out of her room with Mr Bai and their men. CY says to herself, the man you love is a righteous man, so you should stand tall too!
NX has LW tied up in a house somewhere. She thinks he's up to something and threatens him. He asks why she's so fierce, that whether they get out of this depends on him. He says that he could've said something good about her to the Emperor, and would've made the whole issue much smaller or go away. She says how can you be a prince with that brain. He says that being a prince in their country doesn't depend on the brain (SO TRUE) LJ is outside the house. LW takes off his belt and trinkets to give to NX and tells her to run since they will be caught soon. She knocks them to the ground. He says what's wrong with him trying to save her? She tells him to look at himself why would she need him to save her? LW spots LJ with his crossbow outside, grabs NX and takes the arrow for her in the back. LW falls to the ground and NX tells him to not die. LW says it's funny, he just wanted her to believe him, not to be so arrogant to him, he never wanted to die for her! He pulls the long life pendant off his neck and gives it to NX since he won't need it any more. She says she doesn't want it he needs to keep it himself. He laments that till death he never saw her cry a tear for him. He passes out and NX shakes him and yells that she is not letting him die. LJ runs in with the guards as NX runs away and tells the guards to take LW back to get treatment.
The royal doctors rush to check LW. The Emperor says to SNN's dad "so you said it's LJ who hurt LW?" SNN's Dad confirms that's what the guards says.
Lady Su hears this and rushes to the Emperor begging him to tear LJ to shreds for hurting LW. "If anything happens to my son I can't live any more" The Emperor tells SNN's father to put a warrant out for LJ. SNN's father promises to catch LJ to avenge LW. (oooooh you snake!) SNN is there too and looks stressed.

Epp 33 part 2
SpoilerBack at XY's house, Mr Bai says that with their help, LJ should have arrived at (a place he points to on a map). XY says that the important thing now is the Emperor. Mr Bai says Old Man Liu said that the previous Diviner had rescue dS from a beggar, and took him in as a disciple as he was smart and loyal. Now he thinks about it, DS had done that to get into the palace so he could see Fei Xue/Lady Yun (I'm gonna call her FX here). XY says that so DS's original plan was to come to the palace and take FX away, but she died trying to protect him half a year ago, so he is now after the birth stone inside CY to resurrect her. Mr Bai : "No wonder XM wanted to put extra patrols around CY, if not for him, CY would have come to harm long ago" XY : "We cannot waste my brother's sacrifice. XC and I already have a plan, he will stabilise the situation in the palace, and we will look for where DS is hiding" Mr Bai asks when XY will do that, XY says ASAP, but before he leaves he has something to return to CY.
LJ approaches the carriage with LW and NX in it. He starts fighting with NX's guard, the horse and carriage runs away. LW is tied up and nearly falls out of the carriage, begging NX to help him. She rescues him and he thanks her but she says she only did it so her prisoner doesn't get killed by someone else. LJ points his sword at NX"s guard who is on the ground.
Back at CY's palace her servant is feeding her bitter medicine. XC arrives and takes over, reporting that the Emperor is a bit better. CY says it's TY's birthday tomorrow and asks XC to give her a jade bangle in a box for her. XC says she can't give it away, the bangle was from the Empress when CY was young and had fallen sick, to give her blessing and protection. CY says that she doesn't need it, TY needs it more being alone in the King's palace. XC agress, but CY drops the box as she is still blind. This leads to XC seeing the piece of paper XY had thrown at CY, which was the divorce request from NX that XY had made her write. XC reads the paper and NX had written the divorce paper requesting that SHE divorces him because he had been unfaithful. As XC reads it, CY says that she must be hallucinating, but she feels like every night someone is there looking after her, but when she reaches out she can't find anyone. XC asks if CY wishes that person was XY?
CY: " I thought we agreed not to talk about him any more"
XC : "If we don't talk about him, would you not think about him then?"
CY : "I hope it's him, and I hope it's not him. He his a new wife, how can we still be entangled? Give me a bit of time, I'll be better"
XC : "What if XY and NX are no longer married?"
CY : "Have you heard something?"
XC : "Nothing" Stands. Hesitates. CY: "That's okay, you go, I can look after myself......... why haven't you left yet?"
XC " I just heard of a most amazing news in a thousand years - what if a man was divorced by a woman?"CY :"I've not heard of that, how can a woman divorce a man, if that's the case, the man will be the laughing stock of the city"
XC hands CY the paper "Then XY will that laughing stock"
CY flashes back to when XY accusing her of not knowing what he has done for her, and not caring if they have a future or not. She rushes to stand to go to XY telling XC that XY was here and she had said a lot of hurtful things to him. XC says XY is away investigation the DS mystery and may not be in town. CY chastises XC for not telling her that XY and NX were divorced earlier. XC admits he didn't want XY to hurt CY anymore, but when he saw the divorce paper, he realised that for a proud man like XY would give away his reputation, showing that he must love CY a lot. If XC had kept that away from CY, she would hate him her whole life. CY calls for her servant who writes on her hand that he knows where XY is and leads her out.
It's night time and we see XY holding CY's hand walking in a garden (it's his house, with their special flower blooming around them) CY asks where they are, why can she smell the flowers? She puts her hand out for him to write on. XY writes on her hand and she holds his hand in both her hands, thinking to herself that these hands are hands that hold a sword. (and clearly not her servant's)
CY : "You're XY, aren't you?" XY pulls his hand away. "You're the one who pulls up my cover and looks after me every night, is that right?"
XY : "That's right, it's me going against the order and looked for you. I'm worried about you so I came to look after you. I know what you want to say, you want me to leave, you us to be separate, you want us to seek happiness separately. But without you I can't be happy. CY, just for tonight, please don't say any words to hurt me. I'll take you to somewhere."
Fireworks goes off (fireworks = kissing in Chinese dramas, yes I feel good about what's coming!).
XY : "Can you hear it? I prepared the fireworks for you, this was supposed to be for your birthday. But in the end we missed it. I wish you can see this. But if you can see it, you won't want to see me. Today, after letting you hear the fireworks, I've completed one of my wishes. Just pretend I'm crazy, only a crazy man would bring a blind person to see fire works (YEP you said it buddy, but the acting is so good I'll forgive you!)" A tear runs down XY's face (very prettily) and....... CY can see it! She reaches out to touch his face and wipes his tear. He realises she can see again, and knocks her hand away and wipes his tears.
XY : "Since you can see, I should leave. Look after yourself, look after your baby" XY tries to walk away and CY grabs his hand and tells him she's not pregnant (yay yay yay finally!) She explains that the pregnancy is just a plan XC had to protect her. "I am your Xu Chu Yue, always have been"
KISS! and fireworks keep going off in the background!
Crying and smiling.
XY : "Your lies made me suffer so!" CY :"You lied to me too, suffered so much!"
XY: "Why are you looking at me like that?"
CY : "No name no title (ie/ they are not "married" or "betrothed") why did you kiss me?"
XY : "Middle of the night, what title do you want?"
CY : "The person in your heart (this is a play of the words in the Chinese title of the drama, like "beloved")
XY : "The person in your heart?"CY : "You are the person in my heart, in exchange, I want to be the person in your heart. That's the title I want for us"
Smiles. CY : Sign! XY : Contract! More kissing, more fireworks.
Mr Bai and the servant sees them kissing, Mr Bai smiles and covers the servant's eyes (he's too young to see this!)
XC sees them kissing, and asks his guard "How do you think XY felt at the start? Even though there's no hope, he kept by her side everynight" Th guard doesn't know.
XC says : "I think I know, but also don't think I know." The guard doesn't understand. XC continues : "I used to never understand people like XM, either you love or you don't love someone, why keep hiding but trying to please them secretly, that's not what a man should do. But in the end, I've become like XM."

Ooh I thought it was coming out later tonight so I was surprised to find the last 3 episodes available!
Here we go : Ep 33 part 1 :
SpoilerNX is trying to leave the city but there are warrants out for her and her group. Her head guard tells her that there were assassins in the palace a few days ago but XY put NX's groups' pictures on the wanted posters so it will be difficult for them to leave the city. Ning Wang was riding into the city and tried a pick up line on NX, when she turned around he realised who it was and he follows her, making fun of her saying he heard that XY didn't go to her on the night of their wedding. NX tricks NW off his horse saying she will tell him more about how XY and her don't get along, and pulls a knife on him. He stashes her in his carriage as she has him by knife point and they leave the city successfully.
XY is attending to a still-blind CY, writing on her hand, feeding her bitter medicine. She asks for something sweet so he sticks something he finds in one of the containers in her mouth but it's a sour plum (our Princess only likes sweet things!) and she spits it out. XY has to run off as XC and Eunuch Gao was approaching and CY's real mute servant was motioning for him to go. XC comments that CY is stealing a sour plum again as he brings Eunuch Gao in to visit CY. XY is outside the window listening in.
Eunuch Gao greets CY and she thanks him for visiting. He comments that the common folk have a saying that if you like sour things you're pregnant with a boy, if you like spicy it's a girl, CY much be having a royal grandson. CY says everything is according to fate. Eunuch says that if it's a boy, the Emperor will be happy and might get better faster. CY agrees. Eunuch asks, counting days, how long has the Princess been pregnant? XC and CY hadn't come up with a lie for that yet so awkwardly looks at each other. Eunuch says to that Princess will be a mother soon, surely you won't NOT know the date right hahaha? XY looks on with suspicion. XC tries to cover up by asking the Eunuch not to make fun of them, they they have loved many times (loved each other for a long time?), not just CY, even XC can't remember. Eunuch says, surely it's after CY and XY divorced. XC says they are righteous people, doesn't matter how much he loved CY, they would not be immoral. CY just agrees, but thinks to herself that XC is just going to keep making things up as he goes, but she can't pretend like this anymore, so she has to think of a way to make the Eunuch go away. She tells XC that she has stomach pains, and asks him to take her to the bed for a rest. He blames the sour plums and takes her to the bed, which brings the Eunuch's attention to the single pillow on her bed.
XC takes the Eunuch outside and he says to XC that he can tell XC doesn't stay in CY's quarters, citing the presence of only one pillow. XC says that even though they are in the throes of the love, because of the Emperor's illness, he will not sleep with CY, and has been eating vegetarian (in the hopes that the Emperor will get better - Asian believe of sacrificing something you like so someone else can be blessed) The Eunuch says that he has worried for nothing it's all because of XC's filial piety. XC reassures him and asks him to wait for their good news. Eunuch Gao has clearly been testing them and doesn't really believe him. XY hears all this.
SNN is unfolding a new set of clothes for LJ. Her maid laughs that LJ is so lucky that her lady remembers his meaurements, he is so lucky he should be laughing in his sleep. NN said not to talk about him like that, that LJ is very special in her heart. The maid makes fun of how NN was all crazy about XY before, but NN said that was when she hadn't seen the world. She describes LJ as a piece of jade, poor but will stand his ground, powerful but won't be suppressed. XY looks dazzling but is not someone you can give your heart to. The maid says so NN will give her heart to LJ, NN says she will know when he comes.
SNN's father catches LJ on the way to see NN. He says that there is no way LJ is good enough for NN, but he thinks that LJ has potential and is giving him a chance to become something greater to suit NN by completing a task - by rescuing LW from NX. He promises if he rescues LW and doesn't let anyone else, especially XC's men know, then he will not stop LJ seeing NN in the future. LJ agrees, and asks him to pass on a trinket for NN so she doesn't think he didn't keep the promise to go see her, and runs off to find LW. SNN's father goes to where NN is waiting, gives her the trinket and says LJ has gone to do what he should be doing. NN wants to go help him but her father essentially gets his men to drag her to house arrest, keeping guard on her 24/7.
NX is dozing in the carriage, and LW has been throwing his trinkets out of the carriage so that someone can find him. She opens her eyes and asks him what he's up to, he offers to give her a massage like he does for his mum. She says yes and sticks her leg out. He then says no, he won't do it he knows she doesn't like him. She says she doesn't joke so go ahead. He says that men shouldn't touch women so she drags him to her and gets in his face. LW says please don't I"m shy. She grabs his jade trinket and says that's nice, he says of course everything he owns is nice. She asks what is the most valuable thing on him, and he shows her the necklace with a lock pendant that the previous Emperor gave him, said to give him a long life. She said no wonder you didn't want to throw that out, and asks her guard if he had picked up all the trinkets LW had thrown out the window, haha. Yes, he replies, all 18 of them! She tries to slap him, he grabs her hand and begs that " Please treat me like a fart and let me go" (Hahahahhaahaha this joke works in all languages!)

Thank you @xiaoxf @suzy0604 @hmrhn @honeytime and everyone else who checked on me! We've had bad storms here so we've had problems with the electricity and water supply here. We keep getting brown-outs so wasn't sure if the electricity was going to be cut. We're okay now thank goodness!

Oh yes that's the bit the Eunuch told XC about closing the gate to look for "the thing" but I didn't know it was referencing DS when I was translating it, my mandarin knowledge still has big holes in it oops, thanks!!
I am now ready and looking forward to Eps 33 -35 to find out the answer to the remaing mysteries and have XY and CY back together again!

Ep 32 Part 2
SpoilerCY wakes up and realises she can't see. XC rushes to her side to reassure her she is at his house, that the Royal Doctor says the blindness is temporary. CY wonders why she heard fighting noises before. XC wonders to himself where XY had gone. CY asks if the Emperor has really pardoned them. XC says yes, but that he had to tell teh Emperor that XC and CY are already.... CY smacks him and calls him crazy, and tries to rush to clarify things with the Emperor as not to wreck XC's future. XC says that more than wanting CY to be the Diviner, he is more concerned about whether she is pregnant with a royal child, since he only has 2 princes, he will not harm CY if he thinks she is pregnant with a royal heir. CY says that XC is regal and clean, how can he taint his name because of her, and how can he explain it to the girl he loves in future. XC marvels that she is still more worried about him in this situation, and reassures her that he already has someone he likes. She is kind and smart, and would understand why he took these actions. CY asks about the girl since XC has not mentioned her, XC is a bit stuck for words but says she is good to him, he is waiting for her to grow up and he will introduce her to CY. XC says that CY has to act according to their story, since Eunuch Go has been, more people will come and they can't find out the truth (that she is not pregnant) CY : how do I do that? Cue XC coaching her on pregnancy expectations from a book : not eating cured food from the first month, if you really want you have to eat sour plum. CY only likes sweet things, tries a plum and spits it out saying it's too sour. XC then says she can't use the make up she has it's bad for the baby, so he will go and get a pregnancy-friendly one made. CY asks why it has to sound so real, XC says it has to as not to get found out. He keeps reading and says she has to walk around a lot to avoid a difficult labour. CY asks to not take it so seriously, but XC is worried that Lady Su will send someone to test them since the Emperor will be making the decision on his successor soon. XC says next is the way they act, since they are now together and already have a baby on the way, she has to respect him... Why doesn't she call him XC GeGe? CY smacks him and says she can't say those words (hahahahaha) XC says OK I will call you "Yue Er" (Little Yue). CY says you can call me whatever. XC goes to get her tea and reminds her to be careful and to memorise all the things they talked about, otherwise...... CY : Otherwise what? XC : Otherwise.... I can't do anything else anyway. (haha).
XY walks in but because CY is blind currently she thinks it's XC and asks why he's not speaking. CY : OK OK, I'll listen to you. (She stands and curtsies) My Lord you have returned, Little Yue has waited for you for a long time (she is trying to be respectful to XC like he asked) Little Yue doesn't want to eat sweet, she wants to eat sour. Can you buy more sour food for Little Yue? Also I won't use this make up anymore, it's bad for the baby. (XY is shocked since CY mentioned the baby, proving to him what XC said is true) Oh and My Lord please take me with you for walks, otherwise cooped up in this room, the baby will also be bored. XY speaks : You sure have thought of everything. CY is shocked to hear XY "How come it's you?" XY : If I didn't see it with my own eyes, I could not imagine there's this side of you. CY was going to deny it but changes her mind. CY : There's no reason for you to ask. We are divorced, we can have our own people to love. It's none of your business what I do with other people. XY : " None of my business right? What happened to the CY that wanted to elope with me, is she dead?" CY " She didn't die, just her heart died." XY : " You can hate me, you can even kill me, but I cannot allow you to degrade yourself like this. In my house, I treated you like a treasure, how come now you can treat yourself like a weed (trash)?" CY : "I am vile and lowly, you don't need to remind me. Even though I'm a princess, I was dependent on the Empress and XC to survive, of course I'm not as precious as your princess (NX). Now you are married to her, then don't waste your nights, go home quickly" XY : " Fine, you don't know anything I've done for you. You won't care whether we have a future together." XY throws the divorce letter from NX on the ground. CY stumbles up to go to XY and falls, XY goes to help her but yells : "If you can't see then don't move!" CY : " What did you say just now? What future? What did you just throw down?" XY sees the mark behind CY's ear and recalls his conversation with XC insinuating that he had left the mark on her when they were baby making. XY : " When he did that to you, what were you thinking?" CY : "Let go of me, this is the prince's house, be mindful of yourself!" XY : "When he did that to you, did you tell him to be mindful of himself? TELL ME!" CY slaps him :" Get out, don't make me hate you, get out, GET OUT!" XY leaves. CY crumbles to the floor. She picks up the divorce papers.

Okay then, Ep 32 Part 1!
SpoilerPicking up from end of Ep 31 - (halfway through a conversation between XC and XY about the mark behind CY's ear...)
XY says he won't believe anything unless CY says it's real herself. XC says that people can get hurt, how can XY still expect CY to not forget him after hurting her so much. They are interrupted by XC's messenger announcing the arrival of Eunuch Go. XC rushes to see th Eunuch Go thinking that the Emperor has awaken. But is told that the Royal Doctor says that the Emperor has been poisoned, although he won't die he needs to time to recover. He says that the Emperor has been calling out CY's name in his sleep. XC says they will go and see the Emperor tomorrow. Eunuch Go reports that the doors of the the city has been closed and they are looking for "that thing". XC asks why Eunuch Go is here today, and he asks XC if XC and CY is real (as in the pregnancy). XC says of course, XC and CY grew up together and is destined by Heaven to be together, since they have now been "discovered", then CY can stay by his side. Eunuch Go cautions XC that even though the Emperor dotes on him, being with his "sister" CY is not a "morally right" occurrence, and it's best to not let this be known until after the baby is born.
CY sleeps in bed with her eyes covered. XY says to her that she always calls him her pillow, when in fact she is his pillow. He often has bad dreams at night, of his friends in the army sacrificing themselves for him, he's even dreamt of his own death. Everytime he wakes up and sees her by his side he feels safe, because he knows he now has a home, he can finally live like a normal person. NX is seen listening to this hiding round the corner. Flashback to XY and CY sleeping together holding hands. Back to the present CY stirs and pulls her hand away from XY and turns to sleep on her side. XY asks if she can hear him, or is it that she doesn't want to listen to him. He says that what XC said was true, XY has hurt her too deeply. XY : If you can hear me, I hope you can tell me that you and XC....... forget it, rest well, I'll stay here with you. XY covers CY's eyes again with the cloth. NX walks in saying "Fine, you two are still together" XY : "Which of your eyes saw that we are "together"? NX : A man and a woman in a room together, what else are you doing? XY : "Good that you're here, let's talk outside"
Outside. NX says to XY that he would do whatever to look after CY, but NX has gone against her own country, not even caring for her own life, yet she only got his betrayal. XY asks by not wanting her life she is referencing the wolf incident. NX : "So you still remember? I helped a "white eyed wolf" (meaning ungrateful souls), you and CY are both ungrateful wretches" XY laughs that NX is still clinging to the act, that she thinks she can keep up the pretense from the past? In flashback XY explains that he knew of NX and her brother's plan so NX had burnt their supplies back then, and her brother would take the glory for it. What they didn't plan was for XY not retreat but to go further to their country. She led the way to the "wolf's mouth" (meaning into danger) but didn't plan on getting sick herself, and that XY would save her with their last supplies. That's the only reason she helped him in the cave. XY had thought the whistle tune he heard was a dream during his coma, but from the carving he got later he realised she had summoned the wolf herself. When she got bitten by the wolf instead of him in the cave, he thought she had saved him because she was kind hearted. But later he realised she did that because she had come up with a plan to use him to kill her father the King, then NX and her brother can take over during the warring mess. NX denies that she would have her father killed, but XY says that no one else would, but NX definitely would. NX hated her father as he had slept with her mother whilst drunk (raped?) and she had NX and her brother, but the King never cared for the children, even given them as prisoners of war. XY says he knew all this back in her country, but kept is a secret as she had saved him from the wolf. He is saying this now because she has pushed him too hard. NX screams that it's XY who has pushed her too hard, she has given up everything for him, but he still wouldn't stay with her. XY tells her to stop lying to herself, this is all he will say. He gives her the divorce paper to sign but NX knocks it out of his hand, asking him how he thinks the Emperor would punish his family if they divorced. Flashback to the Emperor asking XY if he is willing to use the iron tablet for CY, so he won't have to marry NX. What we didn't see was that afterwards the Emperor spoke with XY and told him that they had to act like that in front of the the diplomat from NX"s country, that they can't have NX"s country always threatening them. So XY is to pretend to accept the marriage, so that they will be let their guards down, XY will send men to blow up their iron mines, and kill the weapon making defectors to their country. If the plan fails, then NX's country will make iron weapons and wage war against the Emperor and many people will die. NX is shocked. Mr Bai comes with a message saying that the iron mines will be blasted in 3 days. NX says no way, the Emperor wouldn't give up on the mines, and her brother...... She realises he's in danger and runs off. XY and Mr Bai gives chase and XY points his sword at NX. NX says to kill her, Mr Bai shows her her brother's jade ring indicating they can kill him whenever. XY says he will let her leave if she signs the divorce paper. She says she will only sign it if it says SHE is divorcing him so he will be the laughing stock of his country. XY says he doesn't care, either way it's just a piece of paper. He made her write the divorce paper so he could show CY to make her not worry. He make her a deal, if she grants the divorce, he will let her go and maybe she will be in time to save her brother.
Posting this first because I'm afraid we're going to lose power here....

Hoping that things are alright for you in RL, even if they are hectic! If you want to you can wait, they are tough episodes to get through, that's why they are so unpopular lol, since I need subs I skipped a lot that wasn't our main leads, so I don't know much about what's going on outside of them but the ep. are growing on me as I rewatch them.
Thank you!! I think I might do the same and skim through the main leads bits and then catch up after I watch the ending (next week!!)

Hi everyone! Real life has been so hectic I am for the first time really behind in Sleepless Princess!! Just reading all your commentary now I'm not sure if I should wait till after the last episode before catching up? I don't want to be left hanging feeling sad until the next episodes!

XY wakes up with CY in his arms. He wishes that they could be like this all the time. CY says that the night after hibernation is always long, but to her it makes no difference because at the end of every sleepless night, is the longing for her beloved. (What... that made no sense... XY says the same lol.) Oh, she says it's a quote from Guan Shan lol. She gives XY a kiss on his cheek and tells him to get up to eat.
XY hilariously tries to shield the sun for her at the roadside stall where they are eating but his hand is too far away. CY pulls it closer to her face.XY feeds her the wontons and they act all lovey-dovey, attracting the jealousy of the couple at the next table, the lady actually doesn't want to eat anymore HAHA. CY gets self-conscious and tries to eat herself but XY stops her and pats her head.
CY asks what will they do after eating, and he says "Get married." Haha love how he just says it matter of factly. She asks how will they do that and he says, "It's not like you've not done it before." She argues that she was unconscious (exactly...) and also she thought they were going to elope. He says that he can't allow her to be wronged again. She asks if he isn't afraid that the King would punish him, but he says, "I'm more afraid of not being able to be with you." (oh dear the foreshadowing in this episode...)
CY continues, "Don't you mind about your brother's death anymore?" He replies that she shouldn't have come to him last night - after she came, he thought that if such a weak woman like her could be so brave, then why should he be so troubled? He has become the dishonorable, disloyal, unrighteous and unfilial person like she said. "Let's go to hell together."
Then it's CY's turn to feed him, and she says that there's something at the corner of his mouth - she leans over and kisses him there. (AHH this is making me smile like a loony.) He is stunned, then smiles. He feeds her next, and when she leans in, he leans in too (oh my their chemistry).
XY tells CY his plan for their wedding. He will prepare the wedding gifts with his Aunt and CY is to decorate their bridal chamber. He proposes to get married in Ling Xi Court - they will rise from where they fell. (I like how they're not ignoring this matter)
He brings her to the bookstore for his gifts - it happens to be the one which she frequents, and the seller recognises her, of course. The bookseller shows her the books she likes but she quickly hides it (HAHA this is cracking me up) and says, "I don't read these books - I like PROPER books." LOL. XY smirks and tells the bookseller to bring out all the ones she likes because he's buying them all. Out they come, and the titles are like "Missing My Beloved", "The Sad Life of the Prince Consort" and then "36 Ways to Tame the Husband" Embarrassed, CY decides to leave and look for XC to be a witness for their wedding. XY laughs at her leaving. He asks the bookseller about the book she likes, "The Journals of Guan Shan" and of course, the bookseller says there isn't a 2nd volume.
LJ tells NN of XY and CY and initially thinks that she'll be upset. She is, but because she thinks CY is being silly, like a flower sticking to cow dung (aw see she's a true friend! though it's funny how she's so against XY now). She goes to Pan Xiang Ge to get CY a gift and picks a free gift, which she presents to LJ after they leave the store. He keeps his distance from her (as she ordered him to) even though he also bought her a gift. She takes back her order and goes to get it, slipping into his arms in the process (I actually saw the BTS for this - it's hilarious HAHA the actress was learning the slip from the Director). Anyway it seems like NN is growing fond of LJ now. She accepts his gift, and they're both happy.
CY eats with XC and tells him she's now even worried what XY will think of her eating face. XC says that he didn't even mind when she became a pig - CY is worrying over nothing. CY is surprised that he's saying something in XY's favour since she thought he'd disagree over their plans to get married (without permission). He does disagree but doesn't think he can do anything about it given that she's risking her life to do it. He tells her seriously that if XY wrongs her once more, no matter the reason, he'll take her away this time. CY thinks to herself that XC seems different than before. XC's right-hand man (I shall call his name Qin Yi Xiao, QYX now) tells them that the old beggar, Uncle Liao is now awake.
They go to see him - this time he calls her Xu Chu Yue, and tells her that he was her father's best friend. Her father predicted the danger that CY would be in with the Birth Stone - he didn't want CY to be the King's puppet so Uncle Liao took her away. Unfortunately the King's men found him and he was attacked, leaving him with permanent head injuries that made him lucid sometimes, but totally out of it at other times. He finished all his savings and begged, so that he could find her again. CY asks if he knew how her dad died. Uncle Liao says her father knew his death was imminent, and he wanted to save the last chance had to save her, to keep her alive. But then Uncle Liao's head started hurting so CY told him to rest. XC assures her that he will treat him.
Evil Hooded Master tells his apprentice to take the 2nd volume of "The Journals of Guan Shan", the letter addressed to CY and the LYFX stub (the receipt that tells who the intended recipient is) secretly to Xue Manor. (ARGHHH) He says then when XY is taken back to Xi Zhao by NX, no one can protect CY anymore. At full moon, with CY and the book, he'll be able to see his "Fei Xue" again. He goes closer to the comatose lady, "Xue Er, if we can't be happy, why should we see others happy?" He throws his hood down and reveals his face - Dong Shi. (and his voice changes for some reason LOL. Also I knew this was coming but was still hoping it wouldn't be true - so annoying and mad on CY's behalf!)
XY returns with his purchase of the books as his wedding gifts. Aunt says that there were already such books in the house. XY wonders if CY left them behind previously, but Aunt says they were there before she got married to him; might be his brother's. TY starts in shock in the background. XY asks for the books, and Aunt says she will get the maids to bring it out to him.OH yes I was trying to get to bed so didn't go into as much detail! In Ep 26 also CY is under some sort of house arrest I think because the Emperor wants her to stay put so he can have her stone thing. So NX had been "helping her" get out - she mentions it a few time that she needs NX to help her leave her palace.

Episode 27 Part 1
SpoilerXY brings CY, XC and NX into the house where Aunt is. Aunt says "this is our soon to be niece-in-law right?" NX is giddy with joy and greets Aunt. CY looks surprised. Aunt comments that NX looks quite cute and asks the servant to bring tea, the good tea. CY looks defeated and turns to go but XC makes her stay. XC says to Aunt that her last niece-in-law is still here isn't her memory a bit poor? Aunt replies that her memory can tell this is CY, she tells XY that CY and XC are guests and should be taken to the yard for a walk. NX wants to go with them but Aunt drags her away to chat. XY asks CY to go for a walk (ah you're so clever Aunty!) NX knocks over the tea all over aunt and she sits down on the chair quite forcefully. XY and CY rush to her side (XY shoves NX away) and Aunt says that she's okay, and even if she's not okay she is fine since the two of them care so much for her. She links XY and CY's hand together and say that if you two are together our household will be so happy, and XY agrees with her. NX apologises to Aunt for being clumsy and suggests CY stay with Aunt for company since XY and NX are getting married soon they have much to discuss. CY pulls her hand away from XY. XY says he has nothing to discuss with NX and XC smirks to comment that after all that it was NX who has a one sided love. NX is mad and knocks over things on the table, Aunt is like what is wrong with you, and CY suggests Aunt goes back to change her clothes. This leaves XY with NX but he turns away from her and walks off and she chases him.
CY puts an "ice pack" on Aunt's hand and Aunt comments that NX is a foreigner who cares too much for XY and warns CY to be careful. CY is humbled that Aunt is so thoughtful of her, as she was fearful that after Aunt woke up she would ... (remember that CY was a pig? - this is not said) Aunt said that whether CY is good or evil, even if she can't see with her eyes she can feel with her heart. Aunt knew that CY had looked after her when she was unconscious and even if she couldn't move her body she can still feel the warmth in her heart. She asks CY to come back, this is her home. CY says it's too late. Aunt says they're not married yet it's not too late, she reminds CY that when she first came she was climbing the walls (to get out) and so brave, how can she be more scared than an old lady now? CY says people are like that, the older they get, the more they fear losing things and hurting other people. Aunt says NX is so fierce she can't be hurt by CY, so don't get tricked (wisest words I"ve typed since I started this recap!) and that XY is working on the Emperor so she can't give up. Their family's honour was gained with the loss of their lives, so CY must fight for their happiness.
NX chases XY and blames CY for wanting to come here, accusing her of causing trouble on purpose when she knows the wedding is coming up. XY defends CY saying NX knows better than anyone CY did not do that on purpose. NX can't believe XY is still defending CY, is he planning to go against the Emperor's order? XY accuses NX for being the reason that the Emperor refuses to see him, saying she is ruthless and calculating when she starts going on about how this is the Emperor's wish.
CY asks XC if he can think of a way for CY and XY to get back together, XC is shocked why she would want that, he had brought her here to show her it's futile. CY asks XC what he would do if the Emperor disapproves of someone he loves. He says that he has thought about this and would elope with the one he loves, but with money. CY asks why he would still want money if he has love, and XC says of course money is important, otherwise his lover and him would have to eat vegetables in the wild. CY praises him for being clever, and XC shows her an "iron ticket" which is a gift from the Emperor which can act is an endless credit card and "Get out of Jail Card" (something that can stop the Emperor even if he wants to kill you) and he has the one from the brothel. CY wants one but XC says no unless... and thinks to himself - unless you become my love. CY slaps him on the head for stopping mid sentence and he says she can have the ticket. She said to leave it for his wife, it's enough for CY to have XC. XC tries to give it CY but CY walks off saying she doesn't want it.
XY says to NX that he will not marry her. NX asks why CY can and she can't, what's so good about her? XY says even if she is no good I would not marry you. NX can't understand why not, she has done so much for him, her father was killed by him, my city got raided by him, what else can she do? (Seriously you want him to marry you because you guilted him into it?) She accuses him of abandoning her now that the war is over and he can't use her any more. XY knows that NX didn't do all that for him, but for herself. Because her mother was a slave and her brother and her were unfavoured, in fact she had used XY to kill off the people in her way or else she wouldn't be a princess now. He was saved by her, so he has not said this before, but it does not mean you can hide that from the world. NX asks him whether he remembers the scar on her arm, why would a liar gamble with their life to use someone? Why can't XY believe she loves him. NX takes both of XY's hand and says he is hers and she is his, and of course this is when CY and XC stumble upon them holding hands. XY sees CY and she runs away and he chases after her but XC stops him.
CY is drinking alcohol and NX goes up to her. CY says you are my friend (who needs enemies when you have friends like this? Seriously!) and have saved me many times, it's her own fight for still going to XY, she knows he will be NX's husband but she can't control herself and apologises to NX for thinking about XY (what am I even typing?) NX tells her to stop drinking and breaks the bottle, she shows CY her 2 scars, one for CY and one for XY, and that CY can't ever pay her back enough. CY asks if she can make it up a bit by getting the scar better, but NX says no need, especially the scar for XY, it's their shared past, it's her life. Even if it's ugly but as long as it's there XY will think of her. CY says she will always remember what she owes NX.
XY is writing in his study writing a request for his wedding to NX to be cancelled. Mr Bai brings the "iron ticket" issued by the previous Emperor which basically guarantee XY's family wealth and can prevent them from death if ordered by the Emperor and is XY sure he wants to use this? XY wants to use this to cancel his wedding decree.
CY goes to see her father's disciple and he asks someone to give her an antidote for the alcohol she drank. She also ask for a sleeping medicine so that she can get NX to sleep for longer so that CY can fix her scar. He tells her to get it herself and as she leaves she asks if he knows Old Man Liu. She reveals that he had given her a part of a book and maybe that has a way to fix her sleep and trasformation problem. The disciple asks her to bring it along next time so he can figure it out for her. She then gives NX the sleeping medicine in alcohol and NX falls asleep.
Episode 27 part 2
This will be shorter cos I really have to go to sleep i have to work tomorrow!
SpoilerXY goes to the Emperor and basically gets knocked back. He promises if the two countries goes to war he would fight for the Emperor but the Emperor says he has no more money left in the coffers for a war.
XY takes her ankle bell off saying that NX is her friend and this is NX and XY 's love token. XY having failed at the Emperor's comes to CY. CY tells him to leave this is the princess's palace. XY says that she is using her status to keep him away, fine he is here because there's an assassin in here. She says there's no assassin so he hugs her and says he is the assassin. She pushes him away and shows him the ankle bell in her hand. XY quotes the dessert and wolf story of NX and XY's past, and since NX saved both of them then if they broke the marriage decree they would not be righteous since they owe NX. XY says that's in his past and he will sort it out. She accuses him of not being truthful about their past and not keeping his promise to ask the Emperor to stop the wedding. XY is clearly disappointed, flash back to CY saying the bell is her prison that she is happy to stay in with him. He reminds her of that incident and asks if everything has changed. She tells him to take the bell back to its rightful owner, he shakes his head, she drops the bell on the ground (very dramatic!) he picks it up and says fine I'll leave.
Mr Bai then reveals that XY had taken his family treasure iron ticket thing to beg the Emperor to stop the wedding. CY was shocked since she thought he had done nothing.
Cue lots of flashbacks as XY sits on the ground brooding with the ankle bell. CY dresses up as a maid to go to XY. She hugs him and said that they are about to become the un-righteous un-grateful people. He is crying, and she says "Let's elope!"
Then they are in bed staring at each other hahahaha. CY says you have been staring at me for ages, when are we eloping. XY says he wants to be with her in the open. He says they have to "chop their head off and then tell the King" which is to do something first and then report it later. She thinks he wants to do it with her first and coyly covers her chest. He explains that he wants to marry her first and then use the iron ticket to save her life. She smiles and shakes her head (because she wants something else hahahahahaahahaha) and he says then be prepared we're gonna "secretly pledge ourself to each other" which means they are gonna you know, do it! She stops him because he drank alcohol and in the morning you might regret it. He said he was quite awake, if you don't believe it we can sign a contract. Then they kiss! She smiles, he pushes her down and say what are you smiling at. She says you go to sleep there's a lot to do tomorrow. And they ......... cuddle.
Hahahhaahhaahhhahahaha. The end of ep 27. Good night.

Episode 26, part 2.
SpoilerXY and his men are about to go to find where the assassins are hidden. CY runs out to stop him so she can ask him a question urgently (oh man the timing!) He is in a hurry too and she says just one question, did NX save your life, is her wound because of you? He thinks then says yes, so what? CY says NX has 2 wounds on her arm, one because of XY, one because of CY. XY tells CY not to think too much, they don't owe her anything. NX's man tries to hurry XY and XY rushes off leaving CY behind with LJ.
CY goes back to Golden Bird Palace and XT and NX comes out. NX questions LJ and finds that her guard and XY have headed off to look for the assassins and the black clothed man. NX rushes off to join them, CY says she wants to go too and NX says to block her and not let her go and runs off. CY asks LJ to take her and he can't say no.
XY and his men storm the house and battles the black clothed assassins. NX joins the fight. CY arrives and sees XY in a fight on the rooftop, NX is there too, and CY tells LJ to go help XY, but LJ refuses since XY told him to stay to protect CY. CY thinks that XY and NX fight well together (he does that spinning thing where he holds her and uses her to kick the enemy) XY is about to get info on his brother from an assassin under his sword on the ground but someone jumps in to attack him and he has to grab NX and spins her around all romantic like and NX pretends to have something in her eye and leans into XY and asks him to blow in her eye. This is all witnessed by CY who can't take it any more and says she has to go. XY doesn't see this, but does see the 2 black clothed figures jump over the fence. He throws NX at Mr Bai (haha) too look after her and runs after the black clothed figures haha. NX shoves Mr Bai off and says she's fine.
Black Hooded Dude is with TB who is injured and ends up killing him saying that he knows too much, and that he'll avenge his death by killing XY.
NX is complaining that XY is much more interested in chasing this lead. Her guard says not to worry, he will have to marry her since it's the king's order. NX said that's not enough to make XY marry her. Since she can't make XY give up on CY, she will have to make CY give up on XY. (how did I ever think she could be a cool secondary character instead of a troublesome second female lead?!)
CY is back in the palace. NX walks in and says the assassins ran away. CY is shocked since XY and NX fought so well together. NX asks CY to help put medicine on her wounds. CY does so and the medicine is painful on NX's wound. CY apologises and says that she is no good at anything and can't help them either. NX says not to be silly, CY is especially good, and XY really likes her. CY says XY and her are in the past. NX says so are her and XY..... BUT, she had heard that XY had not asked the Emperor to take back the order for them to marry.
CY says he has own way of thinking. NX says she doesn't want to see CY feels so bad, she will go talk to the Emperor (liar liar!) CY says no, she is not important enough, and after seeing them fight together, she feels she is not good enough for XY. NX says for CY not to treat herself so poorly, what NX does for XY is out of basic instinct, it's not anything important. CY says no one can do what NX has done for XY, CY wouldn't be able to go against her country, her family to love someone. If she could they wound't have divorced. NX then asks CY for the ankle bell back, CY is shocked that the bell is hers. NX said that is what Masters in her country give their slaves, so they can be heard wherever they run off to. Back in those days, NX says she was XY's only prisoner of war (really?) and his only friend. CY then deduces that the ankle bell was XY and NX's love token. NX says, yes, she doesn't know how CY got it. CY says that XY had given it to her. NX says doesn't matter how she got it, a slave's ankle bell is not fit for a princess, she'll take it off her. CY refuses but NX asks her why she would want to wear something that doesn't belong to her. (I don't know how many times I can insert the angry emoji in this episode!). CY says XY had given the ankle bell to her, so it's hers, and the one that stops the bell has to be the one who put on the bell, so if the bell has to come off, then XY has to come and take it off her.
Back at XY's house, Mr Bai and XY are looking at TB's autopsy which confirms his identity and that his heart had been taken. Mr Bai's guesses the black clothed dude that rescued him (as XY was questioning him) is the real Big Bad. XY thinks the Big Bad is a powerful man, but he is more worried about the poison they are using.
XC is raging abotother and now they are about to get married? CY touches XY's name on the invitation, and says that XY and NX knew each other from long ago, the "third wheel" is her. XC says we've heard all sorts of rumour growing up in the palace, didn't CY always teach him to ask a person directly for their version of events? How come CY doesn't take her own advice? CY says she believes NX (where is my facepalm emoji?) XC says you should believe yourself more and tries to take her to see XY to get the truth. CY says she can't go anywhere without NX"s help, and XY and her have already divorced so she has no reason to ask anymore. Even XC says that she shouldn't care about that any more at this stage, in her heart does she want to go? NX pops up and says I know she does and says she'll take her now.
At XY's house his aunt calls for him. She hands him the wedding invite and asks him what the hell is going on, this will not happen whilst she's alive. (You go Aunt!) XY is apologetic and says he'll sort it out, whilst Mr Bai explains this is the Emperor's orders. Aunt threatens that if that Wench from the West (NX) steps into her house the ghosts of all their ancestors will not let you go. Butler comes running in to say that "they are arguing at the front door"
CY is sitting on the front steps. XC is banging on the door demanding XY to come out and sort things out. NX is standing there smirking and tellling XC to be quite and he's breaking the door. XC says that NX is not XY's wife yet, why do you care if I broke their door, this is not your house so none of your business. NX says it's none of his business either and shoves NX. The door opens and XY and CY stare at each other. End of episode.
Not my favourite episode there I must admit..... @angelflower this is hard work, good on you for all the recaps you have done!

Okay @angelflower I will try to recap Ep 26, part 1.
SpoilerXY, CY and NX have just received the royal decree for XY and NX to get married. NX says there must be a misunderstanding, she came with a mission, she doesn't understand why the Emperor would order their marriage. She says "CY you won't blame us right?" - this is where ep 25 ended.
XY and CY just keep staring at each other (all the feels - and I love that they just totally ignore NX jabbering away!) CY has tears running down her face, turns and run off. XY jumps up to chase her calling her name, NX tries to stop him and asks him to talk to her about what is to come and he tells her to get lost.(Yes!)
CY stops, XY catches up and asks her to hear his explanation. She covers his mouth with her hand, tears running down her face and says not to talk, she's going to ask the questions. She asks XY what the relationship is between him and NX, he says that in the past she was his prisoner of war. Quick flashback to NX tied to a pole in an army camp. Back to the present CY calls XY a liar and runs to sit on the steps. XY goes to her and says he's not lying, he didn't want her to misunderstand, and also to protect NX's reputation since she is now a princess. He says that he is only bringing it up to so she wouldn't misunderstand and reassures her that they have nothing else to do with each other. CY says "but you are about to get married" and he says even if he gets married, the bride can only be CY. He promises her he will beg the Emperor to change his mind. CY is touched but says NX and her country can be his "escape" if the issue with his brother causes conflict between him and the Emperor. XY says CY is his only "escape", he asks that if he gets kicked out of court because of what happened with his brother, will she be scared if he takes her away and wanders the world together. CY is touched that he has thought that far ahead and says she won't be scared if she's with him. He says then she will be his only escape. They already made a mistake with the divorce papers, he won't make another mistake. CY says she will believe in him.
XY waits 2 hours to see the Emperor but the Eunuch says he is busy. The Emperor is busy listening to his other son (the one that hid with NX who obviously has a thing for her) complaining about the Emperor marrying NX to XY, that she should at least marry a prince. The King knows the prince wants NX for himself but says this marriage is a pact to placate her country. If things go sour and they go to war how would the Prince act if NX was married to the Prince? The Prince thinks the Emperor is treating him as useless and throws a tantrum, but the Emperor gets angry and tells the guards to lock the Prince in his palace. The Prince begs the Emperor to rethink the marriage decree. The Evil Eunuch advises XY to not bother, the marriage is set.
XY gets called away, because NX's people are at his house. They are there to talk the marriage arrangements. XY is not agreeable, but NX's guard says it's the royal decree, they don't like it either but XY must obey. NX has already arranged some of the wedding gifts (the ones they give to announce the wedding) and XY looks like he wants to kill the guards and tries to kick them out, but the guard recognise the tattoo symbol on the table as the same as ones on assassins that had attacked NX's people, thinking that the assassins were sent by XY. From this they deduced that the assassins ended up in a place on their map that was not checked.
CY and XC goes to the jail to see the old man, CY recognises him as Old Uncle Liu who used to work for her birth father. He had a book with her father's hand writing in it and it reacts to the birth stone in her body. CY can only be away for a short time with NX"s command stone and asks XC to look after Old Uncle Liu. XC asks if XY marries NX will CY finally let go? CY says XY promised that he will fix it and she believes in him.
Marriage gifts arrive endlessly to Golden Bird Palace where NX is staying with CY. NX says she has no idea why the Emperor keeps sending gifts (liar!) she's going to give it all to CY. (NX you are asking for a slap from me!) CY refuses, she says she's silly but not stupid, she knows that NX is looking forward to marrying XY. NX takes her inside, and shows CY a scar on her arm that she received because of the man she loves. CY guesses NX means XY, and NX confirms it, saying that if the bite had happened to XY instead of her, he would have died and never came back to this country to meet CY. CY says that's impossible, XY said NX was his prisoner. NX says that XY was not truthful and if she asks him about the wound, there's no way he would forget. CY says asks why NX didn't say so earlier, and she said it's because CY is her only friend. CY tells NX to tell her the truth since they are friends and we get the ...
Flashback to war time in her country when NX was XY's prisoner. A head guard gives her some water and then tries to take advantage of her. XY arrives gallantly on horse back and saves NX because he's a righteous general and bashes the guard. He helps NX up and tells all his army that in his prisoner camp no one is allowed to bully those who are weaker, the old the young the women. NX says in the present that her country the strong live and the weak die, she thought she would die for sure after being captured, and didn't expect XY to be so righteous. So she decided she will repay him one day. NX says that at one point XY had lost all their food and resources and only had one week's worth of supplies, and it would've been impossible for them to find the resources from her country. They did not know she was the princess at the time. Then we get NX's romantic take on their search, how she felt like there was just the 2 of them, how XY gave her the last bit of food and he nearly passed out from hunger and how she looked after him whilst he was sick, and eventually how she protected him and got bitten by a wolf. Eventually she led them to her father's location because she didn't want XY's men to starve, which led to her father's death. She promised she never wanted to see XY again and to bury their story. In the present NX asks if CY understands her pain. CY says she doesn't. NX says she has been watching CY in Golden Bird Palace, and she is very jealous of her. She doesn't know what happened between XY and CY that XY would think she is so important. CY says between XY and her, is the most simple, most ordinary daily things. Nothing epic like what happened between NX and XY. NX says she doesn't want to break them up, it's the Emperor's orders. CY says she doesn't care about the orders, she cares about why he had not told her any of this. NX says it's because XY wants to protect NX. CY wants to clarify this with XY and stands to leave. NX asks why CY doesn't believe her, CY says that if she really wants to know how XY, she has to go and ask XY directly and hear it from him, rather than hearsay. (CY is so right in this!)

on the lighter note, I've notice that the girls that fall for XY are all female warrior (tomboyish) type like NN and NX, while XY type is the girly and cutesy type like CY... lol
Totally agree with this! CY has drawn the emotional short straw. Knowing CY though if she is here reading this she would justify that she was brought up as a princess despite not of royal birth and so she feels fortunate enough.
Below is my next theory so I have popped it into a spoiler. Theory only!
SpoilerWe know that CY falls into a deep sleep, she likely saves XY somehow using her last chance and he will feel guilty.
However I did somewhere see a spoiler when XY is actually married to NX but he rips of his groom's clothing and walks out of NX's bedroom to go to CY.
Ai it's going to be a long week, and that was not a good place to stop at!

A lot of jealousy inducing scenes for CY. I feel so bad for her. In episode 24 she finally sort of gets back with XY and then this will happen, and we know there is still the letter from XM obstacle to go.......

Either way it's quite funny, made me laugh too!
Hope we get over the inevitable "bump on the road" quickly and not too stupidly!
Embarrassed, CY decides to leave and look for XC to be a witness for their wedding. XY laughs at her leaving. He asks the bookseller about the book she likes, "The Journals of Guan Shan" and of course, the bookseller says there isn't a 2nd volume. 
CY says he has own way of thinking. NX says she doesn't want to see CY feels so bad, she will go talk to the Emperor (liar liar!) CY says no, she is not important enough, and after seeing them fight together, she feels she is not good enough for XY. NX says for CY not to treat herself so poorly, what NX does for XY is out of basic instinct, it's not anything important. CY says no one can do what NX has done for XY, CY wouldn't be able to go against her country, her family to love someone. If she could they wound't have divorced. NX then asks CY for the ankle bell back, CY is shocked that the bell is hers. NX said that is what Masters in her country give their slaves, so they can be heard wherever they run off to. Just checking in after Ep 16. This is my newest obssession. I love gaming myself and honestly I have only seen gaming being the basis of dramas from China! I love this stage of romantic dramas, when they have feelings for each other, and it's such a game for them to not-so-secretly show their affection but haven't quite declared their love.
One of my favourite scenes from EP 16 is when Chessman says that his ideal type is a girl who can beat him at gaming, then promptly challenges Smiling to a solo match where he may or may not have let her beat him. If that's not a declaration then you have not watched enough dramas
I also find myself quite drawn into the CGI gaming scenes. Who else wants to play this game already!?
