    Thank you @meahri_1 for tagging me! I had to sneakily watch that BTS at office and my heart can't contain the sweetness, adorableness and quirkiness of them!

    I was quite taken aback with LJK just swoops in for another kiss after they're laughing as it seems like a practice to him. poor LJE coulnd't stop him because it happened in mere seconds hahaha

    Wow! that was such a great artwork @novemberschopin! keep 'em coming dear!

    and oh @brielover I'm sorry if your question has been addressed before or if I mistakenly interpreted your question hence the answers wouldnt give you anything :)

    My take is that Queen Yoo and YH team up for the poisoning but Queen Yoo didnt expect that the court lady whom would be blamed for is HS thus her surprise look. YH came up with the idea to have HS as the court lady that would bring the tea since she's jealous and hate HS. Maybe the initial plan is to see how WS react on the poisoning scheme since he's the only one who knows about it. I'm speculating that maybe WS was actually about to tell something about poison in CP's teacup. Or he might had thought to have a drink with CP as well. But the scheme seems like went wrong when HS is the one who bring the tea to CP thus he suddenly looked at his mom while Queen Yoo was pretty surprised. Okay, I hope my explanation wont confuse you hahaha

    The younger princes call So, Wook, Yo, Won and even Eun with 'hyungnim' which showcase respect to the older brothers. Meanwhile, as it's mentioned that Wook and So are same age they call each other with name So and Wook.

    I hope that weren't the case @Adnana as I'm still harboring the thoughts that the chaotic editing of first 3 episodes (or probably the 10 episodes altogether hence two versions) was ultimately because the deadline on submitting the whole drama for SAPPRFT review. Judging from some bits of information here and there that there were actually scenes that didnt make the final cut for airing or left out untouched, they might have been filming extensively.

    I hope they won't immediately turn Wook to be EVIL in full force as he's got unfortunate reasons to turn his back from Soo. And really. that scene when he's throwing his pin to the court lady. It reminds me of the exact action he did when he tried to save Soo at the forest in episode 2. He's quite impulsive when it comes to his family.

    Ah, if only HS was showing better facial expressions and body languages that can convince me that she started to feel something for WS even for an ounce of that then I wouldn't had been this worried for our OTP. *sigh* 

    EPISODE 10 WAS BRILLIANT! all thanks to Lee Junki's superb acting. 

    Please, convince me that you deserve to be loved by WS, Haesoo~ya! :(

    We've got finally on our second half of the course of this drama. Please, dont disappoint me, DRAMA GODS!

    and as I watched the SBS version and with my little korean knowledge, the chinese subs seems better to convey the meaning literally.

    Evil queen is very smart. She probably knows that So wouldn't be her puppet the way Yo is. In a sense, So resembles her too much for her to love him.

    Anyway guys, I have problems with back-tracking this thread. You're moving hella fast and I wasn't used to follow a thread with such a lightning speed :D 

    But hey! Keep them coming! I love read one and each of them! Gotta say that you speak all things running wild in my mind about anything you talk about! heee 

    Btw, as I was re-watching episode 9, I noticed that Lady Oh looks so sick especially on the scene when she teaches HS about teas. I was wondering if she's actually having severe condition on her body (sick or anything) that maybe (hopefully not) she's at risk of disappearing in the next few episodes? I'm just really worried about her as I think she's best mentor and mother-like figure for HS and HS needs her most with all the things happen at the palace. 

    And I also wonder how to get Chae Ryung back on the plot? Like she's not just a very minor character as I believe she's got something with Won and all the game of throne thing? 

    D-3! gosh! never thought I'd love to say that I want weekend passes by quickly so that MOONDAY would come along with my SHR dose! :grimace:

    Yeah, it's second one after episode 7 recap reached also over 1100 comments!

    Well, let's say despite the low ratings in domestic market, people overseas love to talk about it either comment on it, criticize it, defend it, support it, etc :)

    And for veteran k drama viewers, dont you think its brilliant that they combine the backhug and kiss together in one ep and one scene! *applause* for their brilliant idea. throw in a desperate confession too. 

    HAHAHAHAHA exactly!!! I havent backtracked properly but I guess not many of us talking about the BACK HUG! 

    and also the hug after the rain ritual!!! HUG that had been our discussion the whole week!!! XD it's just mere seconds but I love how So's grabbing her hand to hug her tightly!

    Wow! guys you all are moving the thread in a flashlight overnight. I've got 30 pages to back read and I dont even think I can do it all by today hahahaha

    Anyway, many of you (including me) were hoping this drama to be at least 24 or more episodes long since 20 clearly wouldn't be able to cover all stories they had introduced in the beginning. It has a great ensemble characters that have their storylines intertwined with each other. 20 was never enough since there would be some stories got cut or underdeveloped due to time constraint. This is bugging me for a while and leads me to a question: why did SBS insist SHR to be 20-episodes long when they've got lots of things to tell in the drama?

    I did a small research on old Kdramas that air on primetime slots and if my memory serves well, I think FAITH is the only drama on prime time slot with 24 episodes. (There are actually other dramas that have 50 episodes long such as Empress Ki and Six Flying Dragons. thanks .qwenli for the head ups). Almost all dramas in prime time slots (Mon-Tue and Wed-Thur) are either 16-episodes long or 20-episodes long. And though it's got Lee Minho as the male lead, the ratings wasn't fantastic thus it's deemed a bit unsuccessful despite its popularity overseas (I watched Faith and it's actually pretty good). And it was aired in SBS. What a coincidence. And maybe it's all because it's Goryeo then haha

    What I'm trying to say is maybe SBS didn't want to make same 'mistake' with what happened to FAITH thus they pushed the idea of getting SHR in only 20 episodes. Yet it's another BLUNDER to me as they aint really paying attention to the story arc when they made an agreement that this drama would be 20-episode long. THAT WAS SUCH A HUGE MISTAKE.

    Oh well, I can only hope if they produce the DVD Director's Cut version, they would include all the omitted/deleted scenes, if so then I'm more than willing to buy it (sounds like a broken record as I've been saying it multiple times) haha

    Okay, move on to the drama itself, I havent watched the omitted scenes that got aired in SBS version therefore I cant comment on it further. BUT. I did watch the last scene ie the KISS scene and I must say the INTERNATIONAL version's got more nuanced feeling into it! SBS version's got the shortest one as it's so raw and beautiful but INTERNATIONAL version's got all the complex emotions rolled into those two short kisses. The first kiss was launched and looked forced and HS was struggling to avoid it with all her might. WS stopped kissing for some seconds given that her reaction to his kiss. But then he swooped in for another kiss with HS kept struggling only to eventually had HS giving up and WS also stop kissing her as if he only kiss her to calm her down. I love his body language after the second kiss, he's a gentleman when we think he looks merciless and ruthless.

    Hey @emme85 @vinsensa @violet88 I need you guys to come out the cave now that the story is either going into the direction that we all speculated or turning into something that we least expected :D

    I'm not keen to see the longer preview released today for tonight's episode as it's just confusing me even more on why HS's looking that terrified. there must be something frightening happens that precedes. 

    It's going to be a very long night tonight with another hours spent to watch SBS version as I got to watch S One version first XD

    I hope I wont be the only one who's not happy with longer second preview for episode 9 tonight :D

    It's understandable that HS was so terrified with So after the premonition, but to having act as if So is a monster and even blurts out to Wook as a warning isn't what I expected from Soo who's been so caring and knowing him better than anyone else at the palace.

     

    Well, let's see how this whole speculation is going to be executed tonight. I can only hope that the direction this story is going to wont let us drown in dismay hahaha

    ps: i have 10++ pages to backtrack during the day, wow guys, you're just amazing XD
