How was he able to find her wandering on the street that time though?

I thought about that, too. But he's got extraordinary senses as well, right? Remember that night he was on top of the building-- listening to the sounds down below and found ET's mom? And he was able to scare that bully from taking a picture of them? Also, he found ET (talking with the ghosts) after he saw GR at her house. I guess he's good at finding people... MUCH BETTER than GR who took 10 years to find ET. Haha

He has made it clear he doesn't see her has his bride ever and told her bluntly she is not what he is looking for. So while she is naturally thankful he and Reaper rescued her  from her perspective she has been denied any future with him so why keep summoning?  She is not a needy, possessive or dense young woman and faces  what she see's as reality.

I find it cute that we see KS missing ET in the preview. The guy just ate his own words. Wouldn't it be great if he's the one to fall in love first?

When people in this thread are discussing about time jump, I choose to have time jump in this series. When ET will be Goblin's bride I personally prefer her to be older than 19 yo. Like her in dress for Goblin photoshoot and a bit make up, she will suit much with manly KS then she doesn't need to call 'ahjussi' to KS :phew:, oppa is better haha

I may be all kinds of twisted by saying this... but I prefer her calling him ahjussi than oppa. *Psy's Ahjussi Swag starts playing in the background."

I think the calendar was from the year the Mom was supposed to die (same thought as @bebebisous33, aishhh the tag didn't work), that's why she marked that date, it's the date she gave birth to ET too

    Timeline from my POV

1998 - Goblin saves Mom and as consequence ET was born

2006 - ET was nine years old (Korean, 8 yrs international)

2016 - the present time in the show (the smart phones as a clue)

I got confused with the dates because why would they use a 1998 calendar if it's already 2006? Just for display, I guess? Haha. Aunt's house has a 2016 calendar and yes... the smartphone is one of the obvious clues.

  5. I have a lot of pages to backread! This thread moves really fast it's hard to keep up! I LOVED THE 2ND EPISODE! How KS and ET's relationship is being established and the goblin and grim reaper's banter... I'm looking forward to knowing more about GR and Sunny (because that woman is already seemingly so out of it and I love her already haha!). Since I watched this because of Gong Yoo and Kim Go Eun, I think I am more invested in their characters' build up and how their relationship will play out. I guess I like how contrasting they are and yet they are compatible with each other. They are gradually changing each other in more ways than one. I think it's when they've actually fallen in love will ET be able to see the sword.

I've known Gong Yoo because of Coffee Prince and his movies. I recommend that you should all watch The Crucible/Silenced because that movie broke me. And I've known KGE from Eun Gyo and watched her in Cheese in the Trap. She's such a fascinating actor-- that she's able to immerse herself in such different roles. I'm planning to watch her other projects as well.

Going back to the drama, I am part of the KGE/ET Appreciation Club. It's just the way she portrays her character that makes her endearing and I can see that her cheerfulness is her outlet. She's had a horrible life and I find her character complex when she's able to let loose and still retain that innocence and sweetness she had when she's a child-- given that she's able to experience such things because of the goblin. ET is a precious little snowflake that needs to be protected at all costs. I really love her interaction with KS and how different she is with other people and especially with the grim reaper. I'm excited to see how she and GR will interact in the future episodes.

Also, I've made a picspam on my Tumblr after a long hiatus. The height difference and subtle skinship are both giving me life!!!

agree with what you have said, i watched the ep with subs and though it was great. kim go eun and gong yoo are two actors i really like as well, they both did a good job and had a really nice dynamic with one another.. yeah amidst her cheery avatar we do get a little glimpse of sadness here and there. i thought she actually fell for him but she just wants to escape from her old life and marry goblin to get the stuff she wants and have a more fun life.

your right it did say 1998, that means were are not in 2016/17, good catch cause i thought we were being shown present day. how cool. that means we might get future or i guess our present day with eun tak which would make her then 28 years old and a time jump of 8 years. oooo exciting, i wonder when that will happen, would that mean eun tak disappears from the goblins life. also where did you see the pic of go eun

From the press conference. Haha. She wore longer extensions. Maybe it's just solely for aesthetics? I haven't entirely caught up with all the filming news. :P

@dramaqueen101 @nuohan I watched the episode on my phone so I missed some details. The timeline just got confusing with the calendars shown so maybe it's just an overlook by the production? I'll have to watch again! Haha.

@jeijei I don't have any problems with age gap relationships as well. I'm all for it as long as it works! :D

@selenetteHi!!! It's nice to see you here! It's been too long!

  7. I haven't followed a kdrama in a long time so I'm glad to be back here on Soompi. I've been waiting for this since Gong Yoo and Kim Go Eun were announced. They're two of my favorite actors. I just finished watching the pilot episode and it didn't disappoint! I like how everything is set up-- from the story to the cinematography. And KGE was hilarious yet endearing at the end when she just told GY "Saranghaeyo!". It's cute and sad at the same time... how she immediately jumped at the opportunity given how horrible her life has been so far. I'm looking forward to watching the next episodes and get to know our other leads as well. Thanks for all the news and recaps, everyone! :)

Also, I noticed that when young Eun Tak's mom died, the calendar in their house showed the year 1998. She was 9 (Korean age). 10 years later, she's 19 already and has finally met the goblin. So they met in 2008. We're getting a 2016/2017 Eun Tak, right? A more mature yet still adorable one? It's also based on KGE's recent pictures with a much longer hair.

  8. I just read the news! Oh... this was so unexpected. I was actually just thinking about him yesterday. That it's already been 7 months since he went into the army. So this came in as a surprise. I wish him a full and speedy recovery. I hope he takes his time and not go back to the business soon. I've also heard about this kind of backlash. He should take care of his health first.

  9. Guys! The day is almost near. What do we do? :(
I'm happy for him. Really. I wish him all the best and I hope he goes out an even better person. And I'm sorry I haven't been very active these past few months. Life got in the way and I only got to follow one drama (which ended recently) after not watching anything for so long. Thanks for all the updates! :)

  10. Oh gosh my heart hurts... We've got a whole month. I thought I'm prepared for this... but I guess I'm still getting there. On a brighter note, December 2016 doesn't seem so far away? Ha. I really wish him all the best in life and I hope he comes back even more healthy, mature, and even better as a whole. 3rbbzu.jpg

  11. @almaseabi Well, I also never really got LMH's appeal. I guess it's just a matter of taste. I gotta admit that CJH clearly has the upper hand in the dramafever video. It's just that he's not as well-known. *sigh* This is the main reason why I only watched CJH's scenes in The Heirs. I couldn't bring myself to like the story and the lead actors. Not that I hate them... I'm just indifferent. Haha

  12. He sang a Radiohead song and I'm flailing like a madman right now!!! His baritone and high notes! His pronunciation was great and I love how he sang the original version with the F word. It's so weird yet thrilling to hear him say it. HAHAHAHA
Edit:That song is the most ironic song for him. LOL

  13. Thank you! THANK YOU GUYS FOR ALL THE THINGS YOU SHARE WITH US! And ah! I missed that amazing crinkly-eyed smile of his. And it's always nice to read/watch his interviews. Again, thank you! <3
CJH as a vampire seems oddly funny (his gumiho is an exception when it comes to fantasy lol). I know the news was released ages ago but still... I never thought we'd see him in a role like this. Ha! Where are all the funny lovely edits?

  14. And now he's sporting the slicked back hair in the recent photos?! What took him so long??? *faints*
@chaybags55 The thing is... I'm broke. Ha! Hopefully in 2 years, I've managed to get myself a better-paying job or a rich husband. JK
EDIT: Just a random thought, I'd really love to see CJH work with his sunbae, Jung Woo Sung, again. I gotta admit that man is a fantastic actor. I've watched some of his movies and he really is brilliant. I can't put my feelings into words though. I'm so glad he's the one taking care of CJH. I hope their partnership lasts and gives way to more successful projects for CJH. Maybe after his service, he might be more interested to tackle different genres and do more movies. I'd love to see him in another action, thriller, melodrama, or romance-- more serious/mature/heartbreaking roles-- a different tune from the ones he's played before. I'm saying this because I've known JWS in The Divine Move, Daisy, A Moment To Remember, and Season of Good Rain... and then I saw him recently in Scarlet Innocence and I'm like... *heavy breathing* "Now this is how an actor diversifies roles!" HAHAHAHA. CJH is on his way and I'm really proud of him. :)  73033413.jpg
