Happy to see that people here mostly agree that Hyun Jin should pass on this project. Honestly, I've watched the movie..and the premise could be good.. I think my favorite Woojin is Park Seojoon. I was so excited that Hyun Jin was given the titular character for the drama version. The thought of seeing her portraying such a character which could carry pain and suffering of someone who changes her appearance due to some supernatural thing excites me. I could also imagine her having a one sided crush to the male lead when they meet the first time. Also, jtbc as a network is on roll these days so the drama seems really promising. I was getting ready to fight comments who will compare her to the movie's heroine but then that news yesterday was like BAAAM!!! to me..

 

How could the production do this?? There are so many other actors who could play the lead... They say that the entertainment world is so dirty.. its seriously so true.. and some inets forgetting "his" scandal from the past because he had a successful drama comeback last year.. I just couldn't do the same! The thought of him touching, acting and then probably kissing Hyun Jin makes me angry.. uggghh.. this is such a major let down... 

 

I seriously hope Hyun Jin reads knets comments regarding this.. I also hope and pray that Soop would advise her the best.. I can wait for her comeback project even if it takes so long, just don't make her pair w/ such actors who had such scandals from the past.. I mean I know that people have s*x and its nothing abnormal but please be careful on how you do it, where you do it and whom you do it with... #ManageYourD*ck campaign

 

I hope Hyun Jin's next project could cater her acting skills. Also I don't want her to play an annoying, indecisive character.. she's better than that.. I think she'll do good playing a femme fatale character.. Something like Misty's Go Hye Ran also the female lead in Witch Court.. I also hope she'll meet a good production and a good writer who can make her shine once again.. Also a better acting partner!!!! YEAH!!!??

I told you, I told you.. He really looks good as Lee Young Sub... I really like Sejong's eyebrows.. Its manly and clean.. No need for trimming..

 

Oooh yash.. I also liked his style during TOL script reading.. He looks like a boy next door.. HAHA.. During Duel reading.. he looks nervous, in character and scary.. I think TOL's ratings would've been higher if Witch Court was out in the picture.. The timing wasn't just right.. Although TOL is a melo-com, I think most of us felt frustrated towards the half part of the drama.. If only Ha Myung Hee made the circumstances a little more unfrustrating.. *sigh* .. I also think SBS and MBC putting a 1-minute break for commercials during their dramas put KBS in a better spotlight.. 

 

You're right.. maybe.. that's why law genre clicked last year.. But I heard 'Whisper's' plot is also quite draggy.. 

 

I also find Korean drinking culture quite depressing.. I think Misaeng's depiction of it is quite truthful.. Most blue collar employee in Korea has to be ready to drink nonstop if a higher official was the one who invites them.. This is probably the reason why they have this on-call drivers..

Have you heard? The male lead up for that webtoon adaptation is "Ahn Hyo Seop". He is also a rookie.. I saw him in Splash Splash Love.. He's only offered the role but I think he'll probably sign up because it's a nice chance for him for a lead role.. Sejong was only rumored for "Clean Up WIth Passion for Now". If he indeed received the script and declined.. I'm so glad he did.. Like what you said, I also don't get the point of the story.. I also didn't get the first meeting of the leads based on the webtoon.. It was nothing exceptional.. Maybe for the quirks, that's why jtbc wants to adapt it into a drama. I don't quite understand the story.. Like the CEO male lead was suddenly interested to the 'dirty' female lead.. maybe because he's not too affected by her dirtiness despite him having germophobia? I couldn't understand it.. Even in Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, I find some parts quite depressing.. and to think jtbc is the one behind this project.. I'm glad Sejong is safe..

 

Despite TOL not having a large international fanbase, I think it was really a good choice for him.. Even a lot of actors and actresses said they want to do a romance just like TOL.. Even I think the dialogues between the leads was really quite memorable.. "Saranghe.. saranghagoisseo"  I'd also be lured if I were him tbh.. 

 

Yash for complex roles... Gosh.. I started watching 'Secret Forest' and its good.. I hope he'll get a chance to do this kind of roles..

That was what I thought so. Its the ticket sales that became the problem. Honestly, the venue is a little high end for a first fanmeeting.. SG is very expensive.. and its in Resorts World too.. I've heard about that drama too.. I've checked the webtoon and the CEO character that he probably was offered is a little like Do In Bum style.. Mixture of Do In Bum with some funny moments.. The character is super OC and allergic to dirt.. The feel is a little like SWDBS.. 

 

There is that scene where the character was meeting a pretty woman then he saw that her ears has earwax.. LOLOL.. He also always carries febreeze..

 

Honestly, I'm so-so with this.. I lowkey hopes he doesn't take the role.. I don't want him to do romance for a while as I need him to play a complex role like in Duel.. But then, what are we going to do? Most Kdramas involves romance.. And people like romance so the target popularity is better than other genres.. Except for well made dramas like 'Signal' and 'Misaeng' of course..

 

Oohh I'm sorry to know about your losses because of smoking.. I'm happy to know that most of us are against it personally.. Its true, alcohol and smoking in Korea is really something usual.. Just look at how they openly ask someone if they could drink good on TV.. Its a culture thing..

@mijooliet Ooohh you should finish RDTK.. It's super good!! All of the actors are great even the patients are great in acting.. Its really well made medical series.. Please try finishing TOL.. It's not the best story out there.. You can be frustrated at times but I think its a good watch.. I personally think the love story part was presented beautifully.. Its not something like the quirky type of romance that Kdramas often do, its something that almost feel like "REAL". And you'll see a lot of Sejong too so.. Check it out.. 

 

Who do you find the most handsome character for Se Jong? For me its in this order:

1. Sung Hoon (Duel) -he is just so hot in here

2. On Jung Seon (TOL) anyone who thinks he looks so handsome during that first scene in TOL? The one when Onsoo first met again.. When he was wearing the white chef uniform?

3. Dr. Lee Young Sub (Duel) -idk I just loved that brushed up hair.. 

4. Sung Joon (Duel) -here he looks like a puppy..

5. Do In Bum (RDTK)

6. Lee Gyeom (Saimdang)

7. His other character in Saimdang - the hair just didn't do it.. Also, he's a little skinny here and the styling and clothes are not that good..

You know what, I think he'll be a good replacement for Yoon Dujun in Let's Eat 3.. Although I'm not sure if Dujun's not going to do the next season anymore...

Oohh I'm sorry to know that.. Smoking really is bad.. My siblings are asthmatic so it was really great that my father had managed to stop smoking.. I just don't like the smell of smoke.. but weirdly enough I remember I like the smell of unlit cigarette.. 

 

You know what, the first time I saw the pic I was quite shocked.. Then his Korean fan asked if it really was tobacco in his mouth and the other fan replied yes.. The magazine interview confirmed it.. ooh gosh.. All these fantasies.. But I think he's OK with that kind of breaking fantasies coz what he prioritize is to be honest as a person.. At the end of the day, no matter what role he has played.. he has to come back to his self as Se Jong.. Still this is not a good thing if he wants to live longer right? For these stars it will be better to list the non smokers as to smokers... The list will be so long if we want to mention smokers.. I think most actresses also smokes.. I'm not sure with Hyung Sik as he also sings and does musical.. I think he will be smart enough to not try smoking if he wants to preserved his voice.. (TBH Park Hyunsik really became handsomer after he got those new pair of teeth right? aka veneers?, HOHO- just my gossips) For Jung Hae In, not sure also, one thing I noticed was that, his teeth are quite yellowish in WYWS..

Japanese dramas will really make you cry.. The episodes are not long and mostly its all well written.. I'm just not a fan of their hairstyles sometimes.. I haven't watched a Jdorama for a long time now..

 

Korean movies was the first one that made me enter Kdrama.. Then Kdrama made me enter Kpop. My firsts are 'My Little Bride' and 'My Tutor Friend'. I found the stories cute and unique. Nowadays, K-movie plots are getting heavy.. I wish they could return to those feel good romantic comedy movies. 

 

That Hanbam interview was quite cute.. The interviewer seems nice to tell him that they share the same birth year.. 

 

About the advertisement, you're right, I think although he is a rising star, Samsonite Red must have booked him cheaper than their old models. Just look at the price of his FM in SG.. Park Seojoon did FM in the same venue and the price is much higher. I envy those who could see him personally during these times as he'll be much expensive in the later years..

Hello there.. Just want to say I'm missing Seo Hyun Jin these days.. I've known her ever since she appeared in Ku Hye Sun's first length film "Magic"... Totally fell for her in "Let's Eat 2".. I'm happy that she finally got bigger after "Another Miss Oh".

 

She might not have gotten an award last SBS Drama Awards but I still believed that her performance in TOL is very charming and top notch. She is the prettiest in that drama. Her acting skills will always be recognized by the viewers.

 

I hope she could star in an action genre next.. Have a nice day everyone. I also hope she could be a part of a better company who would take care of her so much..

Song Ji Hyo and Jo In Sung was also shocking, yes. These actors are somewhat commendable for being professionals after doing those.. These two met again when Jo In Sung visited Running Man once.. Imagine the awkwardness..

That is what the effect though as a viewer. I just cannot see them the same as before. The innocence is gone. I mean, of course it doesn't matter as they are adults already. But sometimes, when they take roles as a cheerful, plain or innocent character, I just couldn't connect.. HAHA.. 

 

Have anyone here seen the Japanese drama Boku no Ita Jikan starring Haruma Miura? It was about a man who found out he had ALS.. It was very emotional.. I think it will be nice to see Se Jong doing something emotional and heart breaking yet again.. He was so good in that phone crying scene in TOL...

 

For a light hearted plot, I like that idea of Se Jong and a baby.. That will be cute.. 

 

I think, other kind of movies that would suit him is something like Bleak Night starring Lee Je hoon..

What are we going to do..  most Korean movies are all about violence? I think he'll match a role like the one that Ansel Elgort did in 'Baby Driver'- his recommended movie. He is pretty comedic in Saimdang but I think he still kinda green there.. Only watched up to Episode 3 though.. I'm not a fan of the story and the aesthetic of that drama.

@aisling It's OK.. No age limit to fangirl.. It's really my first time to be charmed by a Korean actor too.. I think it's because he is really effective on screen.. I usually stan actress but these days I don't have any Korean actress in their 20s that I'm a great fan of.. 

 

It's common in Korean men to date younger women even with a big age gap.. I think the women to younger men relationship is slowly being a trend too.. Drama stories also attack this kind of relationship.. For me, in real life, as long as both parties understand each other and connects it's OK..

OCN for bad, anti hero roles, I just don't like all the car chasing which takes too much screentime ahmmn *DUEL*. JTBC is getting better at picking drama productions too. Yes, I can see that some people really either hate TOL or love it so much. I have moments when I was really angry and I'm getting too much headache at how the story turned out but I think most Knets really appreciated his role as On Jungsun.. He was perceived as this warm, charming and ideal guy for most women.

Se Jong apperance really differs when he gains weight. I was kinda shocked when I saw his plump cheeks during the movie premiere after TOL. I just hope he doesn't go yoyo with his weight. Its bad. I think he also got tanned after the Yeosu filming for TOL.

One things for sure, he is going to be a frontrunner of Korean TV or cinema in the coming years as he is a dedicated actor and a good one too with so much potential. I love it that he already served in the army.. *CLAPS* for that. Although he debuted later than some actors, I think his career path is going well even better than others.

Looking forward to what's next for Se Jong's career. I think he has an eye for projects. And he has great taste in movies too. I just hope his agency won't pressure him. Take time and pick something that he would like to do not for the potential popularity but for experience and his passion for acting as a whole. 

 

Some dramas that I've checked that could suit him are "Dreamcide" - a manhwa about zombies, heard it will be a big budget zombie drama next year;  "Beauty Inside"- the drama version will be about a man and a woman who changes appearance everyday, how will he act with a different partner every filming?... this is quite funny;  "Along with the Gods"- heard its going to be a drama next year, the movie is blockbuster these days, the CG is very extreme. Kinda worried though about these drama genre which requires too much CGs, with how Hwayugi is turning out.  

 

Some other dramas that sounds great next year are 'Memories of Alahambra' and 'Prometheus'

 

If Signal 2 would happen, I nominate him as an added character, the one from the future whom Detective Lee Jaehan is communicating to. HOHO

 

I just hope Se Jong would chose a complex role. I personally prefer a dark anti hero role for him. Gosh, this man should really try doing movies as Korean movies has better storyline than dramas. He is really ready for movies tbh.

 

I love it that he specifically said that when his heart beats so much for a role or script he is going to run again/ work. So passionate. *THUMBS Up and CLAP CLAP*

I'm pretty disappointed with his fellow 92 liner actor Woo Do Hwan next chosen project. Mainly because of the ahmmmnn.. *the leading lady* not a hater but ahmmmm I just think these actors deserves a fairly better acting partner. *Don't hate me for this bye*

 

Hoping to see him in SBS Drama Awards tomorrow and possibly getting his first acting awards. I personally think he deserve an Excellence Award not Newcomer.

I am looking forward to Koo's next drama... I don't know if I could watch The Legendary Tycoon because I know that videos of Chinese drama are kind of rare to find? online...

I honestly want her to play a character like Miho in My Girlfriend is a Gumiho... or like a fairy turned human character or Angel turned human or a Goddess turned human character... I think it will truly suit her..

Anyways, I've been going back and forth in here and the Ahngoo page since the big news broke out. I've been having an addiction to new updates and news about the couple and I can't help it, its getting so severe. I kept on thinking about them since last week. For the longest time, I've been feeling butterflies in my stomach with this couple. 

First things first, the moment I found out about the news, I was very shocked like I never thought a time like this will happen because I happen to convince myself that I, as a fan of Ku since watching her in BOF will never get a dating news about her like this. I always told myself that Ku can be dating and I will never know about it as a fan. It will come a time that she will just announce that she's going to be married to this guy without me or us knowing how she even dated. I always know that Ku is a very private person. She treasures her loved ones, friends, families and colleagues so much. She's just an angel for me. She's a strong person that I look up to. I mean despite of the criticisms about the things that she does she still comes back with dignity and perseverance to present what she can to her fans, viewers and every people whom she could share her talents and ideas with.

To be honest, I haven't watch Blood. Last year was so painful, with all the bad things that I happened to read. I became a worried and afraid fan. I was even asking myself why did Ku had to sign up to the drama. It was painful... but I am regretting everything I had thought back then. Now, I am thinking that everything was destined to happen. 

During the past days, I was busy back reading this thread and I am happy I did. Everything made sense. I was also checking out what kind of person is Ahn. I mean for Ku to decide to have a romantic relationship with this guy...he must be a good/great person because I remember in one of Ku's interviews that she tend to not contact her male co stars after a drama because she thinks that it will be somewhat weird? and it is hard to maintain a friendship with a man and woman, of course, with the exception of Choi Daniel, Kim Joon and her other male celebrity friends. I often felt like, when Ku decide to friendzone someone he will not have a chance on her. I mean she is charming, an achiever, and gorgeous so I will not be surprised if most of her co-stars had hit on her in the past. And with that, I became curious of Ahn. How did he even got to make her say OK to him? I mean, this guy must be awesome.

Before Blood, I already knew Ahn because I often see him in MCountdown. I think it was the year 2014. I didn't find him attractive back then mostly because he doesn't smile at all and when he smile he doesn't smile widely. I find him cold and very expressionless so I didn't even bothered to search for his name. While watching some episodes of YWCFTS, I thought he was some guy who was born in the 90's. He is so baby faced but that even didn't hit my heart. Then, Blood news happened and the comments and blog post that I read about the first few episodes just affected me. As I said, I became an afraid fan so I decided to not watch the drama hoping that the storm will calm down and that Ku's next project will be much better. I AM SORRY AHNGOO... for being too weak... forgive me... 

Then fast forward to last week. Wow, I didn't even expected that. I know that they came together during KBS Awards and I thought it was actually nice of him to escort Ku. I thought they had a pretty close dongsaeng-noona relationship. But seeing Dispatch's photos of them together made my heart flutter. Ku was dating!!!!! YES!!! The thing that I am hoping to hear from her these past few years. Her eyes even with a mask on just screams HAPPY. And to add to that is Ahn's chuckling face. Like most of the net's comments, he surely is smitten and head over heals for her. As I said above, I never once seen him smile like that in photographs and during his hosting gig. I am very happy and every update about them made me a stalker.

Based on my background check with Ahn he seems like a mature, gentleman, humble and charming person. The way he said thank you to his fancafe post is very kind. He certainly is happy. During the HT guesting with KU and JI, I didn't bother thinking between the lines with what he said there but know I kept on replaying their MOMENTS. He was always listening eagerly while Ku is saying something even in their press con interviews. Like that moment Yoo Jae Suk asked Ku about how is it working with Ahn, the way he looked at her and ask, "That's it?" is very adorable. Why didn't I noticed that the first time? Also, the Arirang interview when he asked Ku if her first impression of him is a good thing.... the guy is so cuuute... (Ku said that Ahn was a smooth talker, HAHA) Also that moment when he was asked about how is it working with KU, like what @cheerkoo translated. He remembered the first time he got to see our Ku.. It was probably during Angel Eyes and him being in You're All Surrounded. That is very detailed of him.. Like this guy is REALLY charming..

I also watched Witch Hunt (A famous cable TV 19+ talkshow in KR)  in where Ahn guested and the way he talks and explains his side and preferences was very elegant and very mature. He is definitely a good talker. Also, the way he broke down when he heard a female panelist said out loud the term SEX is very cute.. HAHA.. Also, I recommend for you to all watch Ahn's first guesting in HT with Jo Won. He was very cute and he certainly stands out there. The guy is very close to his mom which is so adorable. And the way he was so consistent in his statement that he wanted to marry and start a family early definitely earns TRUST for me. HE seemed to also know how to treasure people around him.. Like I said he is mature and a gentleman. You can see his gentleman side in the CHINESE variety show that he was in and the MBC Summer Special where he also guested. I am very happy that KU opened her heart to HIM. As always, Ku has an eye for people. I will definitely watch him in his new variety show with Na PD which shows I adore (Grandpas Over Flowers a variety pun for BOF, haha) . I also happened to think that it was Lee Seunggi who recommended him to Na PD as his replacement. Just look at the connection, Lee Seunggi is a friend of him who I am sure is a friend of Ku till now and currently he will be starring with Jung Il Woo who was a partner of Ku in a cf before.. Also, AHn is a friend of Seo In Guk who was once given a song by KU...That is just fascinating. Also, I was shocked when I found out that they both did this pictorial for ELLE in which they have to wear a jewelry piece of a famous designer. < Sings You ARE My Destiny in the background >

I also haven't heard him address Ku as noona, its always sunbaenim.. He is soo respectful or it can be because he doesn't want Ku to be her noona in the very first place.. keke.. KU seemed to be his ideal type even before BLood just based on his interviews.

They both complement each other.. AHN and KU are both pet lovers and both have artistic sides and both seemed to be independent and mature thinkers. I think these two have wonderful conversations together. I also love how AHN's manager supports the couple so much... That just goes to show that HE is HAPPY with HER.. I know that we have been hearing marriage rumors with these two and I just have to say that I will be the happiest if it is TRUE.. I mean just looking at their VISUALS together.. They are a power couple. But I don't want them to be pressured by anything.. I hope they will be HAPPY together for a long long time and even settle for their FOREVER together... AHN just made me adore Him soo much that I even I am just a fan of KU I am ready to give her away to HIM anytime. 

I am praying for KU and AHN's happiness and their future endeavors. YES YES YES to LOVE!!!!! SUNNIES let's all group hug

Hi everyone! Its been months since I last posted here. Hope you all are doing fine. I recently became fond of tvN dramas. Right now, I am watching Signal and Cheese in the Trap. Lee Je Hoon the main actor in Signal is such a talented man and he has the same age as Ku Hye Sun. I can't help but imagine that he and our angel would look good together on screen. How I wish sometime in the future Ku Hye Sun would be casted in a tvN drama. For me, tvN produces the best dramas nowadays especially the ones with slice of life, mystery and crime genres. I can't wait for her next project.

Hi Sunnies... Its been a long time... I hope your doing all ok and also to our girl Hye Sun.. I hope she's fine and happy... These days I'm watching Seo Hyunjin in Let's Eat Season 2 and she had come a long way since knowing her in Magic movie directed by non other than Hye Sun... 

I know that Hye Sun is so proud with her bestfriends' current life happenings, Seo Hyunjin being recognized as an actress and Nam Sangmi who is currently pregnant with her first baby.

Cable dramas are on the roll this past years. They produced great contents with good plots and story telling more than major television networks nowadays. I hope to see Hye Sun try acting in a cable drama with an awesome character and cast one day..
