It's so hard to live in another country far away from family. Missing them during holidays or birthdays is one thing. But I can never get over this helpless feeling I am getting now as my grandma has gone to the hospital today for heart related problems and I am not there to help my parents. I could have cooked for them, could have taken turns to stay in hospital, given some mental and physical support. I feel like crap.

I am trying my best to distract myself but it seems impossible. I know I can't do anything to help.

  We just learnt that the cause of her chest pains was a mild heart attack. She is in the ICU and I really wish she comes back home soon. Her 75th bday is just days away.
