Thought I'd drop this little tibit, simply to document something that ironically sucked me back into the Taeun vortex against my will xD

 

Recently Taemin got swept up in a dating rumour with Noze, one of his and Kai's backup dancers. A Chinese netizen compiled their findings and used Google Translate to spread this on Korean forums, though Shawols have thoroughly debunked almost all of the "evidence", and it's speculated the netizen is doing this as a smear campaign against Taemin. Considering they're (apparently) accusing Taemin of "not treating his fans well" and "he gives more autographs to international fans", which - doesn't correlate to him dating Noze at all imo, I wouldn't be surprised if that was their true intention. It's reminding me of when Naeun suddenly got that old dating rumour with Lee Soohyuk revived right before one of her dramas aired. Taemin hasn't immediately debunked this himself like the other times but whether or not he's dating Noze*, the situation's ridiculous in of itself so I don't think he felt the need to clarify this one lol

*If he is dating her then I hope they treat each other well and are happy ^^ The netizen posted a video of Minho, Key and Noze attending Taemin's concert, and Minho seemingly looked at Noze when Taemin proposed to us Shawols(?) (where's our dating rumour with Taemin, he's been flirting with us since 2018 asdfghjkl). If Minho was looking at Noze then that has to be one of the cutest things I've ever seen

 

Anyways, one of the pieces of "evidence" was a "Lovestagram" where Noze used a black heart emoji as a caption for one of her Instagram posts, and Taemin used a black heart for one of his posts. Both posts featured the two in all-black clothing as well. The Chinese netizen made it seem like they posted within the same time period, but fans quickly pointed out they cropped out the date the photos were uploaded, which showed these posts were made months apart. So - what Lovestagram? Then a day or two after this dating rumour, Naeun posted on her Instagram, with a majority of the photos featuring her in black clothes, and the caption she chose? A black heart. It's most likely a coincidence but the timing really took me out haha

As Arkadia1704 said, if trying to decipher what Taemin and Naeun have going on (or not at all) is torturing some of us on here then it's best not to put ourselves into that headspace. I think I might've mentioned this before myself, during similar circumstances of Lee Soohyuk. Yes, we have to keep in mind that Taemin and Naeun are talented, wonderful people first and foremost, and the possibility that they're in love with other people. That's also where Felice Santos' posts come in and what I've stressed in the past: not everything Naeun does is about her relationship status, and the entertainment industry is a lot more interconnected than we think. (I'd also say I highly doubt Naeun would let herself be seen publicly in the same place/time as her significant other, though who knows?) But that doesn't mean we can't enjoy what we've seen in the past and present + as long as we don't, for example, mention it in inappropriate places. There's a time and place for sharing the love we have for two clumsy people sharing mutual affection in 2013, and it's right here. It doesn't always have to be about doubting. I'd be lying if I said that day would never come but when it does, we can console each other then and also look back fondly on how much we loved Taeun for ten years. I think nothing will change how happy they made me personally

Don't mind me tossing in a few comments/thoughts about Taemin's recent talk

 

(Also thank you for the mini recap! It's nice to revisit these memories and learn some new things, especially when forum posts nowadays are mostly about speculating the alleged breakup of our alleged couple. Not that those thoughts are unwarranted but sometimes a Taeun fan goes through it ^^;)

 

- "I don't believe men and women can be friends" had me raising my eyebrows a little ngl, in a never thought I'd hear this talk in 2023 way. Then again Taemin's been that one SHINee member who rarely interacts with female acquaintances outside SM, and even when he did those interactions dwindled after a while. At least publicly. He's always been careful about his privacy and possible rumours. It's still rather strange and I don't agree with this sentiment, but I can't possibly know how his mind works

 

- Someone commented Taemin pulling that line basically exposed he falls in love rather easily...yep, that's our geumsappa xD (I'm leaning towards accepting Taeun as a happy memory but I still believe he's an ohsappa too haha)

 

- I've never really paid attention to Jonghyun's love life so I learned from here that Jonghyun was rather anti-couple in 2015-17 (likely because the man himself was single ) and now Taemin's saying he opposes everyone's relationship, which apparently confirms his relationship status. Especially when one of his last videos before military era had him reaffirm he believes in eternal love. For me, the way the video was edited and how Taemin was laughing shortly after (unless that was edited from a different scene too asdfghjkl the snappy editing overall had me confused) made me wonder if he's saying these out-of-pocket lines on purpose? It's not the first time he's done that, after all. There's so many instances where celebrities say things that are proven otherwise. Also, if there's some truth mixed in here regarding his love life, it doesn't sit right with me to say such things publicly. Then again, it's his life and words, not mine. And I'm working with assumptions

Recently SHINee were talking about countries they'd like to visit. Minho brought up going to London with Key ten years ago, meaning he's referencing to One Fine Day. Taemin mentions Spain...when he went to Switzerland for his One Fine Day trip. He might be referencing a 2011 trip he did with some other members for the "Children of the Sun" vacation guide, or some possible activities he did in Spain for 2012; the delulu part of me thought about his domestic Spain camping with Naeun in 2013 aka ten years ago; and the last brain cell: I too forgot what country Taemin visited for One Fine Day xD (Minkey's trip was so iconic haha)

Happy (late) 12th anniversary to Apink + Naeun and happy 15th anniversary to SHINee! Wishing the best for these two groups and that their friendships last through the ages <3

 

Before I dive into opinions on the posts above - (allegedly) Taemin and (definitely) Naeun are some of the many artists who attended Taeyeon's recent concert on its first day! The thought alone makes my delulu heart race with excitement; the odds of Taemin and Naeun even attending the same event truly happens when the stars, planets and abandoned spacecraft junk align xD Anyway, Taeyeon's a great artist with equally great songs and a good noona/unnie to Taemin and Naeun respectively. I'm sure the concert will be divine + everyone will have a great time ~

(Edit: There's no photos or Taeyeon giving a shoutout to Taemin/any of her juniors, apparently because he didn't want to be photographed and fans/Taeyeon respected his wishes. But I'll add "allegedly" just in case and delete this section if necessary ^^)

 

- Personally I don't think Taemin's tattoos had correlation to Naeun, if at all? As mentioned above and as I often say, not everything they do has to be associated to "couple things". A part of me did consider it since I do frequent this forum, but I was actually reminded of Jonghyun when Taemin started getting his tattoos. Mostly because I vividly remember Jonghyun acquiring various permanent tattoos - or rather I noticed them over the course of 2017 - and the other members didn't really dabble in them. So he became the member I associated to tattoos for years...until Taemin dashed in. Guess there's room for two members  Back to the topic! We'll never know what influenced Taemin to get his tattoos and why he's keen to put that past behind him, but he seems at peace with his decision, and whatever it is I support him. These days he looks like he came back from a well-deserved vacation (or close enough for this workaholic haha) and after the whirlwind that was the month leading up to his enlistment, I couldn't be happier

 

- Things have died down ever since Taemin enlisted, which was expected imo since Taemin is, well, Taemin lol Also Naeun's no longer in Apink and mainly working as a model/actress, so that's the end of seeing potential "moments" in music/award shows. It kinda makes me sad that the last ones were before the pandemic, but that's that. If anything I hope Taemin and Naeun have many shining days ahead of them, be it with each other and/or as individuals, and can experience happiness without worrying too much about public perception someday

 

- Taemin and his neverending love to covering "That I was once by your side"...the true love story? I feel like he does it at least once a year heh

Last year had Onew and Namjoo in a musical, this year* it's Key featuring on Bomi's channel as someone she wants to be friends with - and he returns the sentiment! That was so cute, seeing how eager she was ^-^ All these sudden Shineepink interactions and the two sources of this thread have yet to collide into each other...for obvious reasons and perhaps some we're unaware of, but I still find it funny. I wonder what combo's next xD

Out of all the potential suitors Naeun's had over the years Kim Bum's come the closest to "having a chance" imo, though it's also pretty obvious that 1) they just see each other as good friends and co-stars and 2) Kim Bum's sweet if not a natural flirt...a very good one too lol. He's got a way with words, from the few interviews I saw of him, and that coffee/food truck he sent to support Naeun's drama about a day ago had me rolling. It's all decked out with plushies and Naeun+Kim Bum decorations. If it wasn't for Lee Taemin and the InstaStory where Naeun deliberately placed herself in front of Kim Bum's picture, then I'd be swooning over Kim Bum and Naeun too xD

 

And to roll the ball with Naeun's co-star friendships - lately this is what's been getting me through the Taeun drought. I mean, if she's besties with Park Sodam, has private get togethers with Gamsung Camping castmates, had dinner with WGM staff unnies who worked on her stint...who says she's still not on good terms with her former virtual marriage husband (the delulu in me is striking )

Following on what some people have said, the Lee Soohyuk and Naeun post seems very baseless and just recycles information I've seen in previous 'dating rumors' for them.* A lot of netizens were really skeptical too and even called the original poster a desperate shipper, something like that. It's probably why the post got taken down not long after. As for YooA - it's been two years(?) since Taemin personally debunked the rumours. The guy may lie a lot for his privacy but he's also very sincere and honest when it counts (or unintentionally haha) so I'm taking his word for it. And YooA's never really registered on my radar tbh, beyond a short time obsession with her "Bon Voyage" song and when I first heard about that Pann article ^^; I wish her the best for her career though

 

*Not gonna lie, it did give me a little scare at first - it's easy to get discouraged during this time - but once the initial shock died down and I thought well if that what makes Naeun happy..., it was back to being calm again. If anything, it seems like the poster was looking for trouble as the out-of-the-blue article concided with Naeun's newest drama beginning to air (her acting already looks pretty good! The same thing happened when she was announced as a guest for Amazing Saturday! I'm always up for SHINee/Apink interactions and it's been a very, very long time since she worked with one of them for the camera. I can tell it's going to be a fun time ^^ And not gonna lie, a small part of me is hoping for a tiny hint (being delulu lol) - but the realistic part of me says of course this won't happen because these are veterans with a decade's worth of experience under their belt and they've got professionalism down as an art form. As expected there hasn't been much (if any) Taeun stuff going on, but we've got Naeun working on her new drama (she looks great in the character stills) and there's the Apink comeback in February!! I'm really looking forward to it, 2021 didn't feel complete without the annual comeback from my favourite girl group haha (even though I understand why it was delayed, with the (false) accusations against Chorong and all)

 

As for Taemin - tbh the recent article regarding his declining mental health + subsequent transfer gave me a scare at first, and while I suspected it for a while, it's heartbreaking to receive the news that he's been having a hard time. I guess a part of me hoped things would get a bit better when he adjusted to army life, especially after all the things leading up to his enlistment, but real life is - a lot more complicated. At the very least I hope transferring to public worker service will...I suppose, make things a little easier for Taemin, so he can receive the help and support he needs and get through this period of his life. My prayers are certainly with him

@Debbie Zadeng There's no harm in asking on the thread, of course - some Taeunians know more than others - but in the future I'd recommend looking through the thread to see if, in this case Naeun and Lee Soohyuk, has been discussed at an earlier date (I've found the easiest way is to google "Taeun Soompi [insert name i.e. Lee Soohyuk]"), or message a Taeunian you think will be happy to talk in private. I'm mostly saying this because this was discussed less than five pages ago + some Taeunians have expressed frustration at the repetition of this topic, and their thoughts/feelings should considered too. I hope you understand

 

@violet You could try looking for Taeun's WGM run on Youtube - MBC has uploaded the entirety of it, and people have compiled their clips and some unaired footage in playlists. But the clips don't usually have English subs. @Debbie Zadeng No problem  And I'll say it again - I prefer to keep Taemin's private life and discography separate so no, I don't think his songs have a connection to Naeun, even if he has more creative control over his solo releases as of recent years. There is a chance Naeun/his lover served as inspiration for some things, it kinda comes with the territory of being a creator, and of course there are times where I think of Taeun while listening to his songs (i.e. Soldier) - but otherwise nope. It's best not to keep my hopes up, and I get the feeling doing "[insert song] was dedicated to Naeun!" for Taemin's songs will make me stressed

@Kat89 Quite a bit of that ramble ended up getting directed to the handful of people who forget Taemin and Naeun are more than a romantic relationship, so I was worried I might've come off as harsh, but I'm glad it managed to be of some help to you ^^

 

I'll have to talk about my favourite moments in another post or just post the timeline I've been working on haha, but it's nice to see what everyone else is fond of

 

@Geminigurl Now let's not jump to conclusions, that'll only lead to misunderstandings and hurt feelings. I'll have to bring up the following points:

 

1. People can have the same thoughts down to the letter, or see a post and it influences their thinking, and not just in Taeunian areas. Whatever was posted on Twitter may be the thoughts of a dozen people, not just one

 

2. Saying someone is an imposter is rather serious, even if they're someone supporting two celebrities we think may be in a romantic relationship, and that kind of thing requires a lot more proof

 

3. From what I've seen Kat89 is relatively new to all of this (as a online community participant and fan) + they're airing out their doubts so others can help them sort through those thoughts, and this thread came off a safe space to do so without drawing too much ire (and it should be a safe space). I'll admit doubting Taeunians has become repetitive, and we've had a couple of imposters over the years who have nothing better to do, but there's a huge gap between someone (i.e. myself) who believes Taeun are together for six years, and someone who just joined in and will get doubtful much easier. We should help them out when they need/want it, and soon they'll be able to beat down the doubts themselves. That'll take some time. However, not everyone will feel the same and want discussions that revolve around "are they really together" all the time, so I'd advise that in the future people in doubt should direct message anyone who's willing to lend an ear

 

@Debbie Zadeng In regards to Taemin addressing the rumors, I learned of it due to a secondhand source (this thread), so I don't know where he did it. I think it was a live or via a messaging app for fans? The best thing I can do is direct you to @/LauLau's summary of 2020 hints and try to navigate through the thread with that as a guide. And in regards to a Taemin song that can be connected to Naeun - it's a common belief of Taeunians that "Soldier" was dedicated to Naeun because it contains themes about protecting someone you love, and Taemin wrote the lyrics for it + in a guest appearance on Ryeowook's radio, he stuttered when talking about the "inspiration" behind his song (he said it was his elementary school love but we all know that's a lie lol). But emphasis on "belief" - we don't know for certain if Taemin wrote it for Naeun. However, it's still fun to think so! Also it makes a great opening song for the few Taeun videos out there xD

 

There have been other Taemin songs under speculation for being connected to Naeun, like "2 KIDS", but I personally don't think much of them + prefer to keep Taemin's discography and his relationships separate

While it's good to let it out, I want to gently and firmly remind you that there's nothing suspicious about the songs Naeun listens to. That's writing in meaning that might not exist in the first place. It's overthinking. I've already written a post as to why we shouldn't associate everything Taeun do to each other. But for the purposes of hopefully easing your fears, I'll be going through what you said with a point I raised in the aforementioned post: putting things in context. Or rather, evaluate what is being written. It will be on the rambling side because I'm trying to consider everything, and in the future I'm going to refrain from writing a lot to the same speculations/fears I've seen for months. I'll end up repeating myself and tbh, I want to spend more time looking over old and new hints and discuss those, rather than rinse and recycle the same doubts

 

• I can see you've done that with the breakup timeline getting contradicted with the hints we had in 2020. I'll simply add two things:
  1) Naeun stopped wearing the bracelet because it broke. If you look at earlier pages in the thread, there should be a link to a Twitter thread explaining this (albeit some of the replies are missing, but pictures of the damaged bracelet should be still there). @LauLau's excellent summary of 2020 post can be a guide to finding it. Someone here might have the link (I do, but it's *gestures at a huge pile of unorganized Taeun evidence* in there)
  2) We've had hints in 2021. Taemin said during "Don't Call Me" era he'd rather call someone everyday than not get calls at all; it's possible to call someone everyday; and Key outed that he doesn't do this with friends, let alone a bandmate and brother of thirteen years. This means he does this with a lover. There's also the lovely relationship advice he gave in a video series SHINee did shortly before he enlisted.
• You said you're putting together a breakup timeline -> that means you're trying to consider other realms of possibility -> why is one being manifested if you support Taeun -> you may need to take time away from Taeun and come back to them, as @Catherinecatt said. I've done this several times in the past six years and I can say, it helps
• People are saying Naeun's dating a YG model/actor -> going off what @Geminigurl said, is there a Korean source for the supposed dating rumors? The domestic audience will know more than international fans -> if there's none, then they're groundless -> not everyone will say Naeun is dating so and so because they want her to be happy -> Lee Soohyuk may be part of YG, but Naeun joined YG recently because they handle their acting division well and she wants to further that career (most female idols end up doing this). There's a good number of A-List actors and actresses in their ranks, and they provide better opportunities. Dramas are where people gain recognition and long-lasting fame, as said by a star of the film Parasite no less, and PlayM's priority is Apink, not Naeun's solo career (see how her last drama pre-Dinnermate was in 2016; a four year gap)
• Naeun posted break-up/cheating songs on her IG, and she posted more than one so it's suspicious -> she broke up with someone, be it Taemin or another guy, or Taemin/her ex-boyfriend cheated on her -> idols are far from perfect - rather, they're human. Recent news has shown this again and again. But isn't it better to try and have good faith in them, to tell them when they seriously harm others, to believe they can change for the better? So we should try not to think Taemin did such a thing (unless concrete evidence shows up) -> it's just as important to support Taeun if they break up, because 1) we want them to seek happiness, even if it's not with each other (we'd prefer it to be the other way around, but remember, we can't/shouldn't control them) 2) what if they don't suit each other in the long run? After all, we only know 10% of what these people are like, and our jumping ground is mostly when they were inexperienced "motae solos" turning twenty in 2013-14. They've changed since then, whether because of each other or the hardships they went through. We can't force two people to stay together for our own gratification
  (I'm saying most of the last part for people who forget Taemin and Naeun's individual happiness matters too - I know you have them in mind, op, so no worries there)
• We can't ignore the aforementioned break-up songs because we need to consider all the little hints -> of course, this is how we've got ourselves a list of evidence over the years. But there is the possibility of - as I said - overthinking and inventing meanings that don't exist. There are many people who listen to love songs despite having never experienced a first crush, many people who listen to melancholy songs despite being in a good mood, etc. And frankly, the theory that so and so broke up because they listen to break-up songs has the same logic to me as some people saying idols are dating because they wear striped shirts that aren't even the same brand or design

@Geminigurl Oh, I know of Taemin's pre-WGM dating rumors, albeit I don't know specific ones (i.e. he was rumored to be dating f(x) Krystal or Sulli, I just don't know what incidents occurred). I was just addressing the ones Taemin's had post-WGM ^^; Now I remember Naeun had some rumors with Kim Jongkook, but I never paid mind to them because it was clear they had a good senior-junior relationship and bonded well over a mutual interest in exercise

 

@Debbie Zadeng The Yooah one was the first time in a while where I heard of people seriously considering the possibility, but Taemin himself debunked the rumors with some interesting phrasing, so there's that

I mean, we have to consider the possibility of Taeun being in love with other people (and that makes us better prepared if they confirm it), of course, but spending too much time on that will lead into doubting Taeun. Taeun have had dating rumors, but what sets them apart from other WGM couples is that the rumors don't last very long and are few and far in between. Taemin's rumor with Yooa was the first time in years I heard of him being seriously connected to someone post-WGM that wasn't Kai lol There was also that time when Koharu Sugawara was confirmed to be dating Haruma Miura, but someone used Taemin's photo in the article. The last time I heard of - or at least remember - Naeun having dating rumors with someone else was from, like, 2016, with CNBlue Minhyuk. And even then he went out of his way to clarify they were having a drink together because they have a common connection/friend - CNBlue Jungshin, who acted in Cinderella and the 4 Knights with Naeun

 

I think it'll take quite a while before the dating norm is changed for good. For me, I just hope that when Taeun/either of them are confirmed in relationships with other people, they do it on their own terms

I don't have much to say, other than 1) I wouldn't think much of the sticker on the birthday Instastory, along with the sweet messages fans leave for Taemin 2) still counting the days until Taemin returns + Apink finally has their comeback 3) I'm loving all the posts Naeun and Taemin have been uploading, and 4) this isn't Taeun-related so it'll probably get deleted, but Joy was confirmed to be dating Crush (congrats to the new couple!), which reminds me of a post someone made in the previous page (WGM alumni who interact after the show are probably not dating)

 

Anyways, I hope everyone continues to be safe and healthy, and of course not lose faith in Taeun ^^

(I'll be going on hiatus for a while so I won't be able to reply to anything + hence why this long post was written hastily (apologies in advance if it seems insensitive). Do take care of yourselves everyone and keep believing in Taeun!)

I think I'm going to have to reiterate that nothing good will come out of associating everything Taemin and Naeun do to each other. This kind of mindset makes it really easy to forget that Taemin and Naeun are - well, people. People can be very much in love and create/enjoy things that seem contrary to it. Because if we follow this logic, where what we enjoy = who we are, then Taeun haven't been on good terms since 2017, as Naeun posted on Instagram a screenshot of IU's "Ending Scene" MV, which deals with the aftermath of a breakup + having to let go of her ex-lover and the memories they had, and the post hasn't been deleted. That doesn't sound quite right because 1) there's evidence in 2017 and onwards that suggests Taeun is still going strong and 2) you don't need to go through a tough time to enjoy some wistful pieces of music, and vice versa. Also this mindset will only hurt you in the end. Discourage you even, from supporting Taeun, especially when this is the first time in eight years where the likelihood of hints has become smaller, so I understand feeling on edge. Believe me, I've been there - several times in the past few months, in fact. So if it helps here's some things I suggest you can do while we wait for Taemin, at least one big Taeun hint for 2021, and try to keep ourselves from the cycle of doubting them
 

• Rewatch WGM. This has always been foolproof for me, even if their run is almost ten years old, because this show was definitely a turning point for Taeun
• Look at all the evidence throughout the years. It might help to watch the source of those hints as well, i.e. the variety/reality shows. In my case, since most of the Taeun hint FMVs are gone I've been writing a timeline of Taeun + watched a good chunk of "Gamsung Camping" and on top of reassuring myself, I get a boost of serotonin over seeing how Naeun's flaunting her confidence (kinda like Taemin lol)
• Putting things in context. By this I mean something like - maybe you think Taeun have broken up. Look at the reasons behind this thought and break it down (i.e. Naeun has been posting happy pictures -> did she break up with Taemin? -> her happiness can't rest solely on one person, that's not exactly healthy -> she can enjoy the company of other people and not feel romantically attracted to them, that's what friendship is for -> it's better to be happy than melancholy, no? -> ask yourself if that means she can never/doesn't deserve to be happy because Taemin isn't around [I know no one in the thread really thinks this but I think it's a good way to keep yourself grounded/get some perspective] OR i.e. Taemin talked a lot about his loneliness -> he broke up with someone? -> actually he's been having a hard time since the pandemic started -> he can't meet fans personally -> he's so busy he doesn't have time to meet up with people as much as he'd like, so it's natural to feel isolated -> he's dated Naeun/someone for a long time so if he did break up with her, it would have a huge impact on him. As in, I think we'd get more than a verbal confession of how lonely he is. Taemin has changed since WGM, but he still can't hide what he truly feels and it shows up on his face. Also Taemin still keeps a hard line between his private and public life, so I doubt we'd be privy to his relationship troubles like this -> and so on)

Tbh I don't really consider wearing the same fashion brand as a hint (because it's everywhere and a lot of Korean celebs are bound to promote them at some point) unless Taemin and Naeun are wearing very similar items, like the furred slippers from years back, or accessories. So for me Naeun's fondness for Celine is more of a "this is cute <3" rather than "it's a sign of Taeun", if that makes sense ^^

 

I'd say the heels she wore in one of her posts reminded me of aqua pearl blue...it's not the exact shade, but even so I think it's a nice pop of colour to her outfit and it somehow feels like Taemin the spoiler king of comebacks and his own love life's been in the military for eight years, I wouldn't mind a tiny hint lol

 

Taeun's legacy lives on through hanbok-inspired wedding dresses xD

All the reaction video of shinee and apink to each other was taken down by kshawols, ktaemints. There are two surviving reaction videos on youtube 1. Apink reaction to shinee during 2013 sbs gayo 2. Shinee/taemin reaction to apink in 2014 sma-no,no,no performance.

Which reinforces that the clips are new for me - even as a Keyji lover I didn't browse for them as much as I have for Taeun  But I think @ohmytaeun's video still has some new info - I certainly wouldn't have known about the layout of the stadium(?) if she didn't draw it for us 

 

I'm pretty sure the 2015 reaction survived as well - the one where Taemin rolls his head when it's Naeun's part in "Remember", and Ravi kept glancing at Taemin throughout the performance. There's also the 2018 reaction. I just checked Youtube and they're still available. But there definitely aren't as many videos as there used to be pre-mid 2020

As @NanaKim said, I hope Taeunians will stay quiet about the peony as well, or talk about it in private/on here. It would be nice if Taemin got his tattoo in honor of Naeun's favourite flower - I also think he wouldn't forget a detail like that for a variety of reasons - but at the end of day this is still (fun and possibly delulu) speculation. Especially for someone like myself who can't tell the difference between a regular peony and a Marcella peony  Unless Taemin says it, word for word, that he got the tattoo for a lover, then he might as well have gotten a peony to honor Adam and Eve. And I think it's important to stay reasonable, in case I'm getting my hopes up too high and Taeun are dating other people

 

But it seems some people can't control themselves - apparently some Taeunians are bothering others about the peony. I get the excitement, 2020 hasn't exactly been mass idol gathering-friendly like previous years, and a good number of Taeun hints come from those. But - this also fuels the "idea" of Taeunians being delusional. I have seen some farfetched connections/hints out there (some people constantly tagging Taeun on Instagram + forgetting they exist as people outside of their relationship is another can of worms) but I've mostly interacted with reasonable Taeunians (like the people on this thread) and I'd rather not add to said idea, if possible.

Or at least, I've never seen the clips haha It's the same event where Apink performed Fin.K.L's "Eternal Love" and not a single clip of SHINee's reaction to it exists (which bothered me several weeks ago lol)  - save for that picture where Taemin's smiling and we've got a string of pinkie promises

But for a quick reference, LauLau gave the best explanation as to why Taemin is feeling lonely despite having Naeun by his side ("...of course he's lonely, he can't actually date Naeun properly - they're practically dating long-distance, meeting up only when it's safe to do so. He is also lonely because of his career, not because of anything to do with the people in his life. He is lonely without fans, he is lonely when he is away from home because of fans, etc, it's one never-ending cycle for him")

If he really did get a tattoo of a Marcella peony then - wow Taemin, you sure love your flower language xD Thanks for sharing the link! I also did a quick Google search myself and several links stated white peonies represent freedom - and the Marcella variation are all white. So it all ties together (or not, but it's fun to think he decided out of all flowers, it had to be the Marcella flower )
