I honestly don't get it. But then I think this came down to 7 individuals and for whatever reason CLOY was not their cup of tea. Did they actually watch the whole series or do they just preview some episodes? Also, clearly the international perspective vs the SK perspective is completely different.

Why would you need to catch up with someone you’re romantically involved with? Doesn’t make sense. JHI approached her because he hasn’t syj in a while. Hence, no romantic connection. Case closed. 

 

 

I had the same reaction. They are clearly catching up because they have not seen each other in a while. They are social distancing too! While we can't see the whole interaction, it doesn't even look like SYJ got up from her seat lol. I don't get the fuss. 

 

You know who didn't look like they had to catch up? Or practice social distancing (arms touching in TikTok video) Our lovely BinJin . They looked like two people who have spent endless hours quarantining together over the last few months 

 

But that video begs the question, who took the video and uploaded it? And why don't we have anything else? So many wasted opportunities without proper fan cams! Ugh. 

 

Oh, I also wanted to add that I keep seeing references to previous interviews both HB and SYJ made re: their preference for getting married before 40. Keep in mind these are ideals. A lot of people have ideas in their mind about what they want their life to look like by a certain age but we all know what you intend on paper does not always pan out. We shouldn't hold them to these words like they are gospel. So all these "hurry up and marry" comments are a bit much. I'm sure they know what is best for them.

Bingo! There are very obvious trolls with the sole intent of baiting others into arguments. We see them and are choosing to ignore them. 

 

Moving on, can anyone offer a better translation of HB's TikTok speech? I found the English sub to be lacking. He said be would repay the fans with future projects and then somehow the word "burden" was thrown in there but it doesn't make sense to me. Any one have any insight?

When he walked on the red carpet and unconsciously fixing his side shirt, it looks like he's uncomfortable. I feel like if he wish to close the blazer, it'll not do. But, he still managed to look debonair in that blue suit. It fit his color and masculine body.

Oh yes this is the worst! It's one thing to privately wish for something like this, maybe talk about it in a forum like this, but actually posting it in their IG pages? Cringe to the max! I notice this with a lot of celebrities through so its not specific to BinJin or Korean celebrities, but still..come on people! This behaviour has the exact opposite effect. They retreat as you said. And some cite this 'pressure' in their breakup announcements too. As always, let's ship responsibly 

 

Re: JHI, if you can't see what a sweet brother/sister type of relationship they seem to have, I don't know what to tell you. What I have learned from reading IG and Twitter (and even other shipper forums on this very site) since Baeksang is people will literally ship ANYONE together even when it defies logic. So you can't get caught up by it.

So many new people here! I love it! 

 

I have read various comments about HB being disappointed at not winning and that this affected his mood. I think we are projecting a bit too much? I mean, sure no one likes to lose but I don't see any indication he was super upset about this or that he had any expectation of winning at all. The awards were very well spread out amongst the nominees. No one was up on that stage twice and he already got one award. He was in a good enough mood when he thought the cameras were not on him. Lots of smiling moments and glances towards SYJ during the show. It was when he was on camera that he was more reserved. 

 

I loved that HB and SYJs stylists both included the couple shot at the end of their IG posts. They would know what's up  But I noticed HBs stylist turned off her comments? Any idea why? I hope people didnt bombard her comments section with intrusive comments/questions. 

 

As for people looking for clues with their car arrival/departure and SYJs IG update: not everything will be a receipt and that's ok! We got plenty as it is. Let's not reach so much that we are resorting to comparing the trees in pictures

I wonder if some people realize this was their first public appearance together in over 6 months. Last we saw them was on Dec 9th at the CLOY presscon followed by the media interviews that day. The Feb cast finale party doesn't really count because they arrived and posed separately and then went inside (and we still only managed to see a few pics).  So you have to understand that the interest in CLOY and their relationship has exploded since December. The show hadn't even aired at that point. So a lot of flirty and comfortable behaviour we witnessed and how it would be interpreted by fans was not really on their radar, whereas for Baeksang this was probably VERY much on their radar. You try acting totally normally in that situation 

 

Anyway, for those who doubt, time will tell won't it?

I have seen this type of comment on IG and Twitter as well. I'm not sure what could be expected of them to do in a crowd in front if their peers. They were focused on getting up there and expressing their thanks to fans.

 

The mood of the show was very somber, but there are still quite a few picture of both HB and SYJ smiling and glancing at each other (and that's just what was shown, I imagine there was probably more interaction than that). 

 

I also noticed HB was rushing his walk on the red carpet. He may have been filming today. He may be tired. I still thought he was his charming self( which btw, his typical self is usually quiet and stoic, we can't let those interviews with SYJ fool us into thinking his is always this smiley person) 

 

And again, they know they are being analyzed. When SYJ said she was aware of fans working so hard to vote for this award I cringed a little on the inside because I wonder what else she has come across online   They are probably self conscious and may be deliberately muting their actions.

I watched WTCB and I.do.not.get.it. CLOY has introduced a whole new generation to kdramas and that should have been recognized. In time, its impact will be known....oh well.

Not to be a downer, but we really need to manage our expectations here in terms of them walking the red carpet or doing anything grand like that. Given everything they have shown us so far, they are protective of their relationship and do not ever want it to overshadow their professional work. Attending Baeksang is still CLOY related work. Let's just be happy if they both show up, looking beautiful and win some awards

Nothing wrong with being with child if that is what someone chooses (married or not, frankly I don't care) but it's hard as a woman to have people constantly scrutinizing every move you make and projecting something onto your body for their own amusement. Its one thing to think two actors who seem to be very close (with lots of receipts!) should be a couple and have some fun analyzing their interviews and how they look at each other, but it's another to start posting photo manipulations on Twitter and IG and then tagging SYJ and VAST.  

 

Anyway, most likely we'll be seeing SYJ in a few days and hopefully this rumour will finally be put to rest.

He HIMSELF, without a prompt, brings up the past so fondly and even directs the audience to recall that past moment in the past with him. So Binssi not only remembers a 20 second compliment that Yejinssi gave him over 2 years ago but he felt the need to remind the world of that very brief yet impactful moment. Now mind you, this is coming from the man who is so painfully shy that his friends said he did not want to ride the bus back in high school because he was too embarrassed to witness his real life fan club who swooned over him and waited for him to come on the bus so they can fangirl. So clearly, Binnie is VERY uncomfortable hearing others compliment his good looks (to which he very humbly denies all the time unless of course he is cheekily admitting it in front of his close friend) yet here, HB himself naturally brings up YJ's compliment and also relishes in how happy it makes him with that insanely adorkable smile at the end of his laugh. Binssi's usual M.O. would be to try to avoid or hide from a compliment like that in embarrassment. But YJ, of course, even when she's not physically beside him, still manages to break down his walls and exposes his vulnerable true self to the world and he, contrary to all his typical instincts, is contently okay with that because she is his exception, every single time.

I mean, talk about a 180! Our Binnie sure is feeling mighty confident these days...

Yes good point! They made a point to sit together for both the dinner and viewing.

Same thing with TN promo, always sitting next to each other on the bus. Even in some of the BTS on CLOY when there were others in the scene, you'd often find them standing or sitting together. And the restaurant pic we saw ( I believe they were with others as well?) But they always gravitate towards each other...

Totally agree! I absolutely love his build during CLOY. I find him too skinny in anything else. It's not too clear when the Smart ad was filmed. During the other ads for Mediheal and Bodyluv he was still rocking the extra weight. He seems to be able to change his body shape pretty quickly (men ). And maybe now that he is a bit older his body has filled out more. Hope we are passed the super skinny SEGA days lol 

 

To chime in on the BinJin timeline, I mostly agree with everyone's theories. During TN filming they got to know each other a bit and spent some time with the director outside the set to discuss the movie. But this wasn't the traditional kind of movie set where they got to spend so much downtime together due to the nature of the filming (being on separate floors). Also HB was in a relationship at the time so everything was strictly platonic.

 

2018 changed everything. Reshoots, photoshoots and promo from about April to October with the most time spent together in Sept/Oct. I love how they always seemed to sit next to each other on the bus when traveling to all those events. We may never know exactly when things started but this was definitely the period where the foundation was being laid. However for HB to join SYJ in LA in January meant things were getting real fast. 

 

While we first heard about HB being in talks got CLOY March 8, in reality they have have been discussing this sooner. So there may have been a discussion as early as Jan/Feb about them being part of this drama, only solidifying their decision to keep the relationship private. 

 

And for obvious reasons they had to keep that up during CLOY filiming. Which leaves us here today, post-CLOY. What now? Perhaps they are at the point where it only makes sense to say anything when there is marriage news otherwise it might seem silly to announce they are simply dating since they issued so many denials. Could they really just be friends?  Makes absolutely no sense to me given everything we have witnessed. They make too much sense together, there is obvious attraction, they are both in a similar place both in life and in the industry (SYG even said this during TN promo, how much they have in common), have a similar circle of friends, appear to share similar values, with just enough differences to keep things interesting.
