Glad to read that he may not had to film back to back with both productions. I was wondering how hectic that would have been. Wishing they will safely wrap up filming.
I purchased the DVD and #123 together so they will be shipped around 09/28. So I assume it will be around mid October when the package reaches me. I'm glad to hear that it brought you comfort during hard times. This makes me more excited to receive mine. I hope I can play the DVD. Description said that it's for all region with English subs, but I worry. I can't wait to listen to some of his cover songs in HD.
These two purchase were very expensive early Christmas gift for me
I might not be able to afford any new things for awhile but I have no regrets.

@Tuvi Girl I hope we'll hear some good news soon too. My lockdown was completely spent on watching kdramas of JCW and as soon as I was done, BR aired. Now it feels like going through withdrawal without new content

@Mai Stars I think #133 sold exclusively at a fan meeting. Also in wookie's YT vid they showed #133 so that's already printed.
I liked Melting me softly. I watched it recently so I watched it without much expectation. That might have helped my watching experience. I enjoyed it but I can understand why people would have been disappointed given it was his come back drama.
I hope #133 copies will last few more months
I blew up my budget with #123 and jiscovery dvd.

Emperor and Nyang relationship was dysfunctional and to be fair, they both were not innocent in the relationship. It's also possibly the most complicated relationship in the drama. However for me, I think that she genuinely loved both of them.

I think drama took a lot of liberties in the way they wrote Wang Yoo, Nyang and Toghon. Especially Toghon given he isn't Korean. The contrast in his character and the other two is evident.

SpoilerNyang/Wang Yoo are more in the lines of star crossed lovers. So their relationship most of the time is angst/longing driven

She is the character I unexpectedly got invested a lot. I love/hate everytime she is on the screen. She's an absolute delight to watch, but her character is just pure evil.
Nyang/Wang Yoo do get some good ship development in future episodes. So I get why they were the popular ship.
But overall I wasn't too invested on them. I feel like it was mostly because I'm biased
and Wang Yoo's character wasn't someone I got invested in
(I was far more invested in other minor characters than I was with him)
Also Emperor/Nyang feeds into my ever loving 'strangers-friends-enemies-lovers' trope.
It might be spoilery so I won't mention names but there was another ship of Nyang I was pretty invested in, that comes later on ---------> Edited: oh it was mentioned in previous replies. It's Taltal/Nyang

@partyon yep spot on Tangqishi. He is short sighted and rash but when it comes to Nyang , he understood her more than anyone else.

Wang Yoo and Nyang romance was sometimes a hard sell for me. Especially these episodes, they weren't really working for me. I don't know whether it's because I have an enormous bias called 'emperor' clouding my judgement.

Thanks a lot for the info @cherkell I found the jiscovery concert dvd and the new photobook at YesAsia. So was hoping to buy them together (which is less expensive buying them separately from YesAsia and Yes24)
I will admit that BR may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I liked it overall and JCW was amazing in it.
Drama has many issues but on the positive side, their strongest point is being a heartwarming slice of life story about family with several good life lessons on social/class prejudice.
Show did well in terms of ratings and both JCW/KYJ were praised for their performances.
Irony is that BR's main theme is not to judge people with quick assumptions and the drama itself is subjected to that.

@Mai Stars If done well, medical dramas deal with a lot intense emotional stories and wookie does emotional scenes so amazingly. So I'd love to see him in a medical drama.
@Tuvi Girl I'm usually cautious with cdrama schedules.
They are notoriously bad with sticking to planned time tables, so don't want to be too excited.
I need some help with the new photobook please. I found that the photobook can be ordered through YesAsia. I'm not sure that's a legit way since Glorious has Yes24 link. I don't want to end up paying to somewhere that might not help JCW in the end.

@Jillia I'm usually good at binge watching, so I should be able to catch up.
One of my best friends fell in love with jcw recently so most of my free time was spent on rewatching with her. Unfortunately she's less likely to watch Empress Ki, else I could've made it work faster and earlier

I checked Empress Ki's history once I finished, out of sheer curiosity with how the show went. It's definitely different than what I read. I think there was some angry sparks when the show aired from knetz about history inaccuracies.
I don't really mind when historical stories aren't exactly same to what's on paper. Unless it's a documentary, stories are hard to adapt for entertainment. It's same when books/comics are adapted as live actions. Locations/costumes and props(weapons, food, vehicles etc) play more important part. As long as they managed to stay true to those, I think changes to storyline is fine. I'd rather have a solid interesting storyline that would hooks me up and inspires me to go check out the history.

They will have to make a strong storyline if they plan to do another season. Unless it's unfair to the cast to come back instead of doing something else.
My trust with BR PD team is not at it's best.
Also I remembered your tarot readings when I heard the news
Although I must say, I miss our BR fam here. It would be nice to see JCW fandom and KYJ fandom interact again.
