Gosh I tried to stay away from anything MinEun-related to keep a semblance of sanity in my life. Work has distracted me enough but who am I kidding? I still, everyday, browse IG for any MinEun content and read through all your posts. 60 pages... that’s what I had to go through. Anything to show that I’m still in this ship, come high or low waters.
Funny fact. My sister is Japanese. We live apart for the most of our lives and we only speak a little of both of each other’s native tongues. So really, I should be learning Nihonggo. But for the love of this ship and the heartwarming TKEM OSTs, I motivated myself to learn Hangeul, even if I may not be able to pratice it in the very near future. I still am an amateur but I can read, speak and understand it better than Nihonggo. And my sister would probably laugh or worse, strangle me if she knew. Korea should be paying them more actually. Just their presence is enough to boost their economy
I have no breadcrumbs to share unfortunately. But I keep my faith on this couple. The amount of love these two gets all over the world is astounding. They surely must realize how people of different cultures and professions dissect and interpret all their interactions in one way or another. Yet despite of the varying degrees of meaning we put against their actions, a lot of us seem to arrive in the conclusion that in their literal silence of what they are to each other, there is more. Because no matter the culture and the gender, I think we can all agree on how love is a universal language and the way we express it will remain the same.
Despite the nerve-wracking absence of crumbs and admissions from both parties, I respect and admire the way they are handling the world’s interest in their lovelife. They are very graceful and mindful about this. Someone once said that it seems like they both want the public to both know and not to know about them. And I think this is a fair assessment. And while I prefer they go public and admit their relationship (see, I’m postively convinced they are lovers) to end this madness, their situation is different than mine. I’m not famous. I dont have a huge number of SNS followers. Who am I to tell them what to do, right? I can only love them for afar, support this ship, and pray that they have the happy ending they both deserve

I just started rewatching from Ep 1 on Netflix because Netflix just released in my region which i don't know why only now .. was NOT happy about it, even before press-con i immediately sign up to Netflix just to find out its not on the coming soon list.
My question is how did the Adult LeeGon went to save the young LeeGon if he were to be killed there and then? I can understand if the adult leegon went back to save another person say prevent his father fr being killed..but i cannot understand where he came fr the past if he was originally meant to be killed and fr ep 1 i can see that he wasn't because of the adult LeeGon? Wae??
Same, that was the reason why I bowed out the main thread. That was quite a busy thread and I haven't been there for a looooong time! And to the rest of the crew, forgive me for discussing this on a shipper's thread (I'm so sorry... I'm so so sorry!)

SpoilerSo our first argument was that: Was he supposed to originally die? I think so. If he was meant to die, why is he alive? Divine Intervention -- to serve a greater purpose.
People reported a change in life outlook at a near-death experience. You are hit with a realization that life is too short to be wasted and so one must find meaning to his or her existence. And so was the never-ending question Lee Gon had as a child. I was supposed to die. Why was my life spared?
On with the story then... The only explanation we're offered is that the manpasikjeok grants the desire of its wielder.
Time-travel? Check. Opening portals to other universes? Check. Eternity? Check.
However, when it was halved though, it becomes powerless in a way and can only bring you to a certain time of your deepest desires (like a one-way ticket). There are two flute wielders and two desires to be fulfilled. And by some stroke of luck, both of them desired to succeed on the night of the treason, so the flute brought them both at that point in time. Of course we hope it should have at least brought LG a few hours earlier, but I think it was simply because the coup was the trigger event for him.
Now for LG, there was one big consideration and that is JTE. Changing too much of the past will cost him JTE, and he wasn't prepared to lose her. He wasn't a good shooter to begin with, but he has to stay alive, and keep his younger self alive to ensure he is able to meet her again. I take it that he heeded JTE's advice: You should shoot to fill the void in between you and your target. So he aimed true and shot his way through. But from there, he realizes the ask of being able to travel back. He cannot jump through time. He can only go forward in it. He could stay put I guess, but he rather fight his way across time to come back to JTE.
But with manpasikjeok's power waning, he knew he had to make a decision to either go back to the past again, or mend the flute and hope it works. Unfortunately option 2 isn't exactly possible because he learns that bringing a broken flute inside the dimension will eventually destroy it. The recent events made going back in time a pressing need too: Luna almost killed JTE, plus his encounter with LJH's mother triggered a survivor's guilt. And though he can keep things as is, this will result to time standing still. So yet again, he realizes that he is the only person capable of solving their dreadful situation. I'll add in his farewell (almost dreamlike) visit to JTE to give her flowers. He had a rather depressed look then, almost like he's defeated because the burden of what he needs to do starts to weigh him down.
However, although his motivation hasn't changed, he understands what he needs to do and the consequences that goes with it. Just as JTE said, "Not everyone can be brave. That's why I chose to be brave." So he chooses to be brave. He accepted that he might die, but he must succeed. So his plan was to let the situation roll without intervening, wait until his uncle succeeds with killing his younger self, and then use what's remaining of his existence to kill LR. JTE lives not knowing him, but at least she and the worlds are safe.
But this time though, things have changed. Remember JTE's prayer? She asked if they really have God's blessing. Grace presented itself when JY accompanied him and leveled out the playing field. And he realizes that he isn't alone in this journey. So his story comes full circle. He fulfills the role God has given him, and him and JTE are rewarded by keeping their memories of each other intact. God didn't make it easy for them though, and didn't serve their reward in a silver platter, hence the bittersweet ending. Just as god says in Goblin: ...fate is the question I throw. And the answer is something you must find yourself. And let me leave you to ponder on that

OMG, I totally felt this and I completely agree! I mean, really. They both found a rare gem in each other. Obviously, we cannot control their actions and force them to be together (although of course we wish we got those powers). But I get the feeling that if they don’t do something about this, they will be each other’s “the one that got away”.
Gosh, sometimes it’s terrible to be a shipper. The feels... lol!

Hi @taerabyte - love the name! You have an interesting question so let me take a stab at it. Although categorically, both are real kisses, I get what you are curious about.First thing off, biology never lies. So anything you read about body language, they are true. There’s a reason why they’re topics in science books: it’s a proven and effective measure of physiological interest.
Actors exploit this knowledge. To make you believe that it’s “real”, kissing scenes are planned and cheorographed (of course personal experience helps). So technically, unless you are seeing the kiss outside the confines of a movie or a play, it’s always a professional kiss. And as a viewer, you have an understanding that they aren’t real and they are but characters in the story.
But what about actors who are lovers too? Or actors who have genuine interest with each other? I think if they like each other, they’re not going to see it as a job. If the actors are left to their own devices, the kiss becomes much more organic, effortless even, because they wouldn’t bother so much with the aesthetics of it and just let their emotions lead them. And then there’s the element of desire. Desire that is so palpable you can almost feel it, like you are watching a private thing. So anyone who views the kiss, are left scratching their heads thinking... why does that look different? Admittedly, because we’ve seen so many on-screen kisses, we’ve become desensitized to the beauty of a real kiss. So a pure genuine kiss would spark curiosity to watchers. So I’d say trust your intuition. If something is more than what it seems, then perhaps it does.

Pardon my late night musings.We know this kiss very well. See the pattern? The smack, the pause, the smile, and the kill. There’s a reason why we go gaga over this kiss in real life. It’s because it’s very primal. It’s the I-want-you-kiss. This kiss is reminiscent of someone turning on his partner. Boy, LMH did deliver - like a whole feast to us, if you ask me. Like breadcrumbs to the moon and back.

Awwww.... I felt sad watching the BTS because it’s the last TKEM BTS (ㅠ.ㅠ)... How do I move on from TKEM??
I really appreciate LMH’s gentleness and his efforts to cheer up KGE. I mean, she was the constant sunshine and the person who always made him smile. If suddenly the person you like so much feels under the weather, you’d pretty much do all in your power to make him or her smile again. And that’s what I saw. And you know what they say... tears, especially ones coming from the love of your life, are a man’s undoing.
Meanwhile, I have replayed their kisses A LOT of times - their mutual tenderness with each other, the way they stroked each other’s face, kissed and returned each other’s kisses....never failed to make me feel things lol!

I sense a lot of us here are quite protective of kge and I completely understand. So I hope you guys understand that I have to be protective of lmh too.
I hope this can be a place where we support them as a couple. If I’m honest, I don’t feel too comfortable comparing their careers and number of following on Instagram. It shouldn’t matter imo. These are things that shouldn’t matter in a relationship. I like kge so I like her for lmh. I don’t care about anything else but the fact that I think he seems happy around her. In a relationship, there should be no competition. And just like that, I wish the union of minoz with arjenia to support MinEun will be the same. I celebrated kge hitting 3 million followers on Instagram and I wish it would be reciprocated when it comes to lmh. I support this couple together and individually. We all have our favorites but it doesn’t have to come down to who is better than who and who is more famous than who. Kge’s success should be just as celebrated as lmh’s and vice versa. That’s how I see it and that’s how I believe we can support them as a couple to the best of our abilities. If they are together, I believe that’s what they would want too.
I knew you’re going to say this and I have much respect for you and for everyone who follows them both especially over the course of TKEM. I have contemplated on this long ago, ever since I have boarded this ship. And whilst I like LMH as is, and KGE as is, and them together, I just felt he wouldn’t need me as a line on the board, because he has tons of supporters like you....so no other reasons really, I just wanted to reserve the count as a special congratulatory thing, just like what @effyisme said. I don’t know or can’t explain it... more like a mommy thing, I guess. That’s what I’d probably do if my daughter gets a boyfriend in the future, I mean if IG is still a thing of their time

I think I started searching for and joining this forum after the sunset photo, but to date I still haven’t followed LMH on IG nor liked any of his posts (obviously I follow KGE, like her posts and had hubby follow her too). And that’s for the simple reason that he already has 16.6M followers as compared to KGE’s 3M.
But.... when they do confirm their relationship, I will celebrate by following him in IG. I will bake some cookies too (which are the only things I can properly bake right now) to commerate the event. And of course I will virtually share them with you, my fellow RCLs!

@Heretorant and @Avani Vrinda, I feel the same way. There’s that nagging feeling that KES tried to please the bigger crowd. The ending is an escapist’s dream - justice was served and almost everyone got a happy ending. But same questions really. Why keep Luna? It is to humanize KSR and for KHM to get a lovelife? Why is JTE not queen? Surely that’s what LG wants for her. Plus he would want legitimate heirs to the throne, unless he decides to dismantle the monarchy and live his life with JTE, hoping from one timeline to another.
As for our couple, my interpretation was that they really didn’t get a solid happy ending, despite of the happy scenes we saw. Sure they seemed fine with it and they grew old together... but.... weren’t the dates done only to make up for lost time? Because it seemed like it was how they lived the rest of their lives as a couple - their love cloaked in manpasikjeok’s power, them chasing eternity by trying to make one day last for as long as they can. It’s a sad love story in a parallel world indeed. I guess that’s why they said at the end that they will, despite of the odds, tirelessly love each other that way.And not that I don’t like the ending. I’m a shipper so I’ll take what I can. I sighed a big breath of relief when our couple ended up together. And I squealed with giddyness when we got those sweet and eye-candy scenes at the end. I just felt half and half, that’s all.
So sorry for the long post, just sharing my honest review.

On a lighter note, I just told my husband to follow KGE in IG. He has one but never really used his IG, so I told him to put it in good use. I’m glad he simply asked for her name, complied and showed me the proof

Yeap, me too. I know this has been discussed many many times, but this was when I started thinking hold on...what's the deal, LMH?
I mean, no matter the subject, [platonic] friends will converse to each other even from a distance, and sometimes will go about doing other stuff while talking. My guy friends would probably be like, "You still can hear me right?" and just stay where they're comfortable.
But the way his body is completely turned towards KGE (and blocking everyone else from her), following her, pacing back and forth... distancing himself AND coming back to her... Hovering is a typical behavior of a man who likes someone. Like, why hover, is she going to get lost or will she disappear? Well, I mean, that's besides the point right? Because we already know how this turned out ... pretty much like a planetary object in space, gravitated towards the sun.
Anyway, as I've mentioned, we've probably analysed this (and all other BTS's) for the nth time, but it's still fun to reminisce where we started to ship them

Them posting after each other in IG for quite some time now is far beyond the excuse that it’s coincidental. Promotional maybe? Not that they need it though it could be, but I dont think so. Really dont think so.
These two probably miss each other enough to monitor each other and communicate via SNS, where they know how the whole world watches and anticipates their every move.

I thought that too, but dang, not everyone can pull off that dress. The way that falls on her body type is elegant as hell. It’s quite iconic now, and people will now refer to it as, “...like that green dress KGE wore with her head resting on LMH’s lap”-

I’ve been gone from this read too long- sometimes I visit to see what everyone’s been up to, sometimes to simply like posts. And then I come back now to see 689 pages! You’ve been very busy guys!
With only 3 episodes left, I decided to come back and check in with everyone. Really good to see all the theories. I’m tempted to make a long one, but I’ll concede you have better ideas to share.
The only other thing I wanted to raise is that, remember that we are still in Wonderland right now, so try and look out for the white rabbit running about!

Ditto. I am no longer active in this forum but your comment got me... straight to the heart (or head, whatevs, haha). Everyday I look for crumbs and squeal when I see even just a tiny bit. Still hanging on to this ship, but boy oh boy am I jealous of the other ship. We have the whole 2021 ahead though- Fighting!
