  1. Doesn't matter - for better or worse, she was defending herself - the drama showed us nothing that would indicate HJ knew anything about Art MIL's ailments - when MIL came at her she had every right to push her away. Prison? For the druggie artist's murder, yes - JC's death was 100% self defense - on that HJ committed no crime. If he had stuck to the original plan, she'd be in jail and he'd still be alive
  2. We've been over this - MIL called HJ to the hotel, HJ was never trying to kill her. Further, a simple rewatch of the scene shows clearly that HJ only pushed MIL back after MIL lunged at/grabbed her. Self Defense I don't think he did. After watching with subs, it seems clear the plan as far as Chairman Romeo was concerned was betray HJ to JC at the hotel and let him have the satisfaction of turning her over to the police. I think JC and possibly Grandma changed up the plan to murder with the help of the double agent secretary who we now know is working for Grandma. Since the police never showed up, and HJ got hit by a truck instead, JC couldn't be at the site because it would look like attempted murder (which it actually was) so I believe the secretary moved the body, and was the one that made the mystery phone call from JC's phone. Add to it, the preview now citing a suicide note, which is an obvious cover. It was billed as a tragedy at the start, and so far its delivering. He fell - made a sudden stop at the pavement - bled profusely - then laid in the forest overnight - got picked over by forensics - and doctors - and will undergo an autopsy ... I think he's dead ... he may come back in flashbacks - otherwise they would have had to pay off almost half the town just to keep it a secret. As for CJE, I think we're gonna find out she had something to do with Goofy ML's former love's death ... you heard it here first. Well Hye Won did hope that this was all a nightmare ... Going forward ... I'll venture a guess HJ wakes up a changed woman - while the others treat her with the suspicion she deserves, she will start to live a relatively trauma free life. Her amnesia will likely render her unfit to stand trial, so no jail time (yet). I see her slowly (very slowly) winning almost everyone over including Hye Won. Near the end, she will regain her memory and having lived a happy albeit brief life with loved ones including her sister, she will confess to killing JC in self defense, which of course Hye Won will refuse to believe, yet this time HJ will do nothing, and go quietly to jail. Goofy ML will some how figure out the conspiracy to kill Hye Won, and prove somehow it was self defense. Hye Ji is freed, the bad guys go to jail - the sisters make peace - and BAM! ... Crazy Aunt is made CEO of YJ Group.
  3. All I gotta say is, if HJ wakes up with her memories intact ... be afraid, be very afraid. Consider this - she has now taken a crystal ashtray, a heavy glass vase, and a WTOD to the head ... and she aint dead.
  4. I am really starting to enjoy the almost non-stop unpredictability of this drama - Seriously, dog it all you want for the normal daily drama failings, but I'm enjoying being surprised almost daily with the twists and turns of this one - Hopefully the Writers/PD-nim can keep it going. So much to unpack in this one - - Looks like Chairman Romeo conspired with JC to kill Hye Ji - nice twist how JC's dream turned out to be the real plan in the end. - Looks like Goofy ML has tragedy in his past ala dead gf? - Say what you will about Hye Ji, she's a scrappy survivor ( or not, we'll see ) smart enough to throw JC out the window ( he did deserve it ), but stupid enough to do the deer-in-headlights with the WTOD. - Looks like JC fell to the darkside, both in his unwillingness to divorce HW and now attempted murder - Speaking of JC, just how the hell did he survive a 10 story drop to the pavement??? - And finally, Goofy ML has started dressing better ... Okay! Poll Question Time ... who is getting amnesia???
  5. So after 100+ episodes, thats how they finally found the recipe? Really??? Yo writers ...
  6. So Episode 45 ... - Just when I thought this was going to be a battle between Hye Ji and Ji Eun, in comes Grandma with some over the top darkness ... she threatened to kill her own son if he screws up again - wants to kill Hye Ji, and plans on taking Hye Wons son. - JC has lost his shine - Still can't tell if Chairman Romeo is truly in love with Hye Ji, or is trying to catch her himself to save face with Grandma Oddly enough this drama remains intriguing because there's no clear battle lines (yet) Hye Won & Goofy ML are obviously paired, but they're clearly fighting almost everyone else - Little Sister, JC & JE, Grandma. Hye Ji and Chairman Romeo (if he truly loves her) are fighting against - Hye Won & Goofy, and JC & Grandma - JC, JE, and Grandma are fighting all of the above. And don't forget our host of supporting characters - the golddigger couple, sane aunt, San Duel, Crazy Aunt, and the new mystery man at the crash site.
  7. Thats the spirit! For the record, I wasn't suggesting the BM'er guy was a new ML, I was just wondering who he is? ... and Phoenix 2020 was terrible. Come on ... you know
  8. What is going on in this drama???!!! - Cha Ji Eun turns terrifying - Hye Ji then ups her by basically saying ... psycho beats terrifying ... and I'm psycho - Hye Won must have brain damage even before the accident, as she's suddenly playing nice with JC ... hey, he cheated on you remember??? - Who's the new guy driving the hideous BMW at the crash site ... and how does he know Hye Won's name? - So let me get this straight ... Hye Won was on her way to the police station to turn her sister in via the recording, yet when the police ask her to identify the truck driver she doesn't answer - attempted murder with a WTOD can put her away just as easily as a recording - what are you thinking? - So per preview, Grandma is going to take the baby? How the hell does that work? - And sorry to be nit-picky but Hye Won must be one RickRoll'D poor driver if she can't outrun a box truck in a luxury sedan ... just saying. Agreed, I'm just curious whats going to be the catalyst that eventually turns Hye Ji around. With Hye Won losing her baby to Grandma, she should be focusing on that for several episodes, so she won't/shouldn't be chasing Little Sister.
  9. Sorry, but thats not gonna fly - Art MIL called HJ to the meeting, and lunged at her over a pen. HJ never had any intentions or plans to kill MIL nor did HJ know MIL's deteriorating health condition, and had every right to defend herself when MIL came at her - If MIL was so dodgy on the heart then she shouldn't have exerted herself in attacking HJ in the first place.
  10. You might want to re-watch that scene again. HJ snatches the pen out of MIL hand and then MIL lunges at/grabs HJ who only then pushes her back. You can blame alot of things on HJ, but not that push. This drama wasn't billed as a straight up revenge - it was presented as a tragedy, and thats just what it will be if the sisters end up destroying each other because BOTH fail to or are unwilling to see how much the other suffered after their separation as children. Again, as I've said in earlier posts, this isn't a case of adults being driven by jealousy, greed, or ambition, that set the stage in so many of the other dramas many of you have already mentioned. Everything Hye Ji has done is based off her perceived betrayal as a child, and the resulting trauma following that. Let Hye Won be strong and smart - let her figure out that Hye Ji was traumatized, and by what we've been shown thus far, far worse than her. Let her realize that where she had Art MIL, Hye Ji had no one but herself. I really hope the writers don't turn this simply into Hye Won: Good - Hye Ji: Bad - So yes, let Hye Won be strong and smart, let her figure out that it is raw childhood emotional trauma that drives her sister. And if Hye Ji must go to prison for what she's done, then let Hye Won be there waiting for her the day she is released.
  11. Yes, but he actually says ... Angela is Hye Ji ... right in front of Dad & Aunt and no one says anything about it
  12. Chairman Romeo was the old horse She didn't tell them JC cheated. She told them HJ was responsible for the artists murder and that she also caused the elevator accident. Its not following a traditional daily arc, thats certain. While I hope I'm wrong, its starting to look like the writers are beginning to stretch the believable factor even for a daily. Hye Won being corralled into silence over HJ's identity over fear Grandma might take her baby???!!! Is JC really going to finance HJ into silence? One of the biggest failures of the story thus far. The closest we got to something even resembling a flicker of empathy was merely a dream sequence. This is a big problem I'm having with this drama - both sisters are scarred in their own ways by childhood trauma - this isn't a story born of adult jealousy, greed or ambition. As I mentioned before, this is a drama where I actually want a kumbaya ending for once. :edit: epic plot fail for just breezing past the reveal that HJ is Angela - Not one mention of the 30K SD blew on his step sister
  13. Was freaking out abit when Secretary Yang was just standing there as Grandma was collapsing, but its just a ruse ...
  14. So upon further review ... (with subs) - Ji Eun is indeed still in love with Ji Chang, however she DID NOT send the text/pic ... her phone was stolen - Goofy lead did indeed connect the dots with Gold digger stepdad, and little sister - So even after taking a crystal ashtray to the head, HJ manages to throw Chairman Romeo under the bus as well, claiming it was his idea to fake the pregnancy. - Still unsure what Grandma is confronting Hye Won about, she asks her if she's also with the trash HJ, and claims she found this ... the paperwork ... in her bedroom. The only thing Hye Won has is the infertility report, but why would Grandma be upset with that as its the rational explanation why HJ is faking - Per preview, HJ will be looking for a "new horse" ... and has another mid-street encounter, this time with the White Car of Doom. - HW is packing up to leave the house
  15. I could see SR trying. However, Secretary Yang also knows, and SR would have take her down as well, and I just can't see that happening. Give Secretary Yang some sharper outfits, and let her wear her hair down, and she could rival Secretary Ahn from Witches Game. Yes, she's approaching that level of greatness!
  16. Wow and another episode full of twists I didn't see coming ... (still need subs though) - Hye Won as per preview went nuclear on Ji Chang - JC's first love might not "just" be a plant ... she made an impassioned pleading to him when he went off on her over the picture ... need subs to be sure - Goofy ML saw Gold digger boyfriend acting as security and seems to have figured out he was involved with Hye Won's elevator drop scare. The biggest news however was that ending - Hye Won bursts into Hye Ji's room to confront her again, slaps her before she can even get out of bed, rages at her, and storms out. HJ now also on fire storms out after her, right into the living room full of just about everyone else ... WITHOUT her babybump on! Grandma goes off on HJ and busts what looks like a crystal ashtray across the side of her head, drops her ... AND THEN ... goes on to confront Hye Won over something else ... (need subs) ... Grandma had some paperwork in hand so it may be about the art gallery, or Grandma may have figured out that HW & HJ are sisters and thus believes they are both scam artists.
  17. It looks like Chairman Romeo brought her in for just that, but JC himself admits what they did was a mistake, he shouldn't have gotten that drunk, and they should just forget it. Looks like he's well aware of what happened ... unless she knocked him out and led him to believe it happened ala little brother in Red Shoes. Per preview, Hye Won's going nuclear next episode so we'll soon see ...
  18. Well that escalated quickly ... Looks like we have plotters schemes cross connecting - Chairman Romeo & HJ working at different goals seem to have inadvertently helped each other. Its starting to look like Chairman Romeo may have a hand in Ji Chang's chaebol former love showing up, creating a scandal so he can stop JC's rise in the company. Still not sure of any details, but one thing seems clear, Ji Chang cheated on Hye Won with former love, and HJ got the pics. Someone - TBD - sent the pic to Hye Won when she was with JC and we're off to the races. Looks like we're headed for a break up ...
  19. Somethings not right - the initial story changed from his instruments blanked out to seat switch inadvertent operation - hardly similar. this is the switch location in question ... How a Flight Attendant could "accidentally" lift the cover AND actuate the switch ... color me skeptical as well. Investigators have the CVR so I guess we'll find out one way or the other soon enough
  20. So this drama just made a radical course correction. In the span of only 2 episodes we got ... - Chairman Romeo is a corporate criminal ... he's hiding a slush fund - Ji Chang got surprised by the reappearance of a chaebol first love - she smells like big trouble - Little Sisters criminal OB-GYN doctor got arrested - Crazy Aunt isn't actually so oblivious, and she seems to have a good grip on whats going on ... even if she still "acts" crazy - Gold digger Mom is in jail for gambling - We had a 6 month time jump ... Hye Won is scheduled to pop in about 2 months And the BIGGEST ... "I didn't see that one coming" ... (especially since we're only at episode 37) - Hye Ji revealed her identity to Hye Won Hye Won confronted Hye Ji about her fake pregnancy, and literally ripped the baby tummy prosthetic off her. While demanding she make a press release telling the truth about Art Mom, Chairman Romeo came home early and when Hye Won stepped on the prosthetic to keep Hye Ji from putting it back on ... she broke down called her Unnie and revealed herself. I'm gonna keep watching but I really don't like this reveal now - With Hye Ji's reveal to dad, we've been getting glimpses of how she suffered as a child making her more of a tragic character than an evil villain. Now that Hye Won knows, we're definitely not going to get 63 episodes of making up, so the sisters are going to go at each other. Normally, daily kumbaya endings are a bit lackluster, but this drama had me actually hoping for one.
  21. Oh I need subs! - Golddigger Mom has found Hye Won ... in a bank no less and Hye Won actually recognized her - Dad saved an enraged Little Sister from an attempted self check out via WTOD - Hye Won found the bug Hye Ji placed in her bedroom and used it to set a trap for her. Its starting to get good, fingers crossed
  22. Somehow I don't see it ever making it that far - HJ is in NO WAY really interested in SD - plus its only a matter of time before someone snaps a pic of the two together, or SD finally notices the wedding ring she's clearly wearing whenever they go out
