  1. … and in another twist it appears that Chad Oppa knew Hye Ji planted the camera in his apartment and it seems now that the plan may be a part of an elaborate trap to find out exactly who is who in the YJ group fight. still need subs, but it looks like Chad Oppa May still be a good guy
  2. Because he had a plan to chop up the company that he hid from Hye Won. Thats the irony in this reveal - Hye Ji told Hye Won where to find the report. Hye Ji wanted to drive a wedge between her and Chad Oppa, and it may have just saved the company. Nevermind the fact that Hye Ji actually did Hye Won a favor, as she would most certainly break things off with Chad Oppa if the company was scrapped. While Hye Ji's motives were in the wrong, she actually helped her sister.
  3. Just gotta say, the little actress playing An-Na is killing it. She's been great throughout, but the last 2 episodes she's really shined. ... oh and if any of you want to see Se-Ra in high school, check out Lovely Runner. She's got a small roll, but every time she pops up, it completely takes me out of the drama ... she's evil in that drama too ... shocker
  4. Exactly - she walks in the room, JC grabs her, she screams, he throws her to the floor, she screams where is Yi Chul, JC taunts her that he will hear her scream, he then smashes her in the head with a vase, ties her up, tells her that she doesn't belong in this world and he will kill her. He then takes her phone, saying he'll return it to her so the police will find her suicide note. He sits down to write the suicide note on her phone, and she wakes up, she cuts herself loose, they fight, and she pushes him off the balcony in self defense. JC may have misled Chairman Romeo about his intent, but he clearly went there to kill her.
  5. You're right! ... with subs, it turns out Art MIL had a twin sister. A twin sister that we've never seen before ... that never showed up to her sisters death ... that was never mentioned once til today ... Killing is overkill? Ji Chang definitely planned to kill her, he said so himself as she lay there unconscious, and he took her phone to write a note for detectives to find to try and cover it up as a suicide. As for the rest ... - Chad Oppa obviously has done background research as he has Chairman Romeo's brain tumor diagnosis, and uses it to get Hye Won's son back. - Looks like Chad Oppa had/has plans to split YJ group in half, that he's not sharing with Hye Won. He mentions his father who it seems might also prove problematic for some reason. - Per conversation with her brother, Crazy Aunt may be wavering on her support of Hye Won in favor of her brothers $$$. I hope its all part of a ruse - I don't want Crazy Aunt on team bad.
  6. Indeed! Now its just a matter of degree's - how much did Hye Won know and when? If she knew from the beginning then she, and Art MIL are responsible for Ji Changs death. He only went mad because he believed Hye Ji killed his mother. Even if Hye Won was clueless til this episode, Art MIL is still guilty. And you can already smell the hypocrisy, as you know Hye Won will never hold her accountable. ... gotta post this again
  7. ... and on that note ( while waiting on subs ) No one died - the all in blacks were attending Art MIL's 6th death anniversary BUT.... Art MIL is still alive, and apparently Hye Won knew it!
  8. With what seems like almost daily, out-of-the-blue, plot twists, it makes me wonder if the current writer actually wanted this assignment, or was merely tasked with it. I can see the producers ... its your show now, change the story, and kill off whoever you want ... Princess Aurora is still the standard. The new writer ...
  9. So since we're beyond the halfway point, how do you guys see this ending? - After Hye Ji's attack by the WTOD I thought we were slowly getting some begrudging sister bonding but that went nowhere, primarily due to Hye Wons vitriol. I really don't get that - sure be suspicious of Hye Ji at first for her antics, but that was a FIVE YEAR time jump, and the drama showed us nothing other than Hye Ji living a modest life trying to gain alittle of her memory back. When she finally does, shes genuinely revolted by her own actions, only to be pushed back into that corner by Hye Won's complete unwillingness to even try to forgive her ... again 5 uneventful years later. - Chairman Romeo I just don't get. At the start of the drama he was painted as a love struck fairly useless executive. Grandma ranting constantly about both him and Crazy Aunt. This is clearly a new-writer villain replacement, I'm guessing to replace a previous revenge driven version of Ji Chang. Nevermind the whole "1 year to live" story arc makes no sense, the way its been shoe-horned into the base story. If he is supposed to be the driving force keeping Hye Won in check to keep her son, that all evaporates when he's gone in a year. - Golddigger Couple. Not sure if they are a victim of the writer change or not, but they have clearly been tempered. They now seem sincerely interested in seeing the war between the sisters end, although there's really not much they have the power to stop at this point - Sane Aunt & San Deul. These two seem like superfluous characters. They have scenes to remind us they exist, but they have no real underlying sub-plot relevance. For instance, when was the last time Hye Won saw her brother? - Lawyer Min Jun. I think this character was supposed to be an old love interest for Goofy ML with ties to his tragic past, that was supposed to be a foil for Hye Won to flesh out her actual feelings for Goofy, but like others above, I think she got lost in the writers switch. So ... at this point my predictions are ( all subject to future twists ... like "dead" Art MIL ) - Chairman Romeo continues as a villain, and succumbs to his illness before ever going back to jail - Hye Won & Chad Oppa save YJ group, but go their separate ways after ... friends, nothing more. - Goofy ML is saved in a critical time of need by Min Jun, and they're off to the races - he stays friends with both Hye Won & Chad Oppa - Hye Ji will never make peace with Hye Won. Call it at best a truce, and she disappears ... her last scene will be smiling her impish smile as she opens the slush fund safety deposit box after finally remembering where she put the golf bag. - Hye Won leaves YJ group and goes back to work full time in an art gallery - Crazy Aunt takes over YJ group ... because of course she does Just my guess ... but with these writers, I'm probably nowhere close
  10. And the twists just keep on coming ... - Somebody tell me I'm seeing things ... thats "dead" Art MIL in the preview strangling Hye Ji - Just when I thought Chad Oppa & Goofy were gonna be besties, per preview he's hiding something from Hye Won - Unless the secret above is bad, I'm starting to worry for our Goofy ML, if he and Chad Oppa do become besties, I think he loses in the battle for Hye Won ( ... or is that actually a win ) either way, he's been the steadiest/most faithful character in this mess of a drama so hope, the there/not there lawyer gf wanna-be is able to get through to him - I don't think Chairman Romeo is in love with Hye Ji, I just think he's using her. - Since Crazy Aunt is dressed in black in the preview, I think its the sane aunt who has died ... I just hope it wasn't in a fight with Hye Ji. - With the never ending twists in this drama, now I'm curious what the original story arc was supposed to be It might just be me, but I've never really felt the connection between Hye Won and her son. Yes, they have all the obligatory sweet scenes, but the son feels more like a character place holder required for her to have something to fight over with others - I'm just not feeling it. The actress had more mother/son chemistry with Uni Oppas son in Miss Montecristo. He was in this latest episode - saved an employee from a loan shark, so it looks like hes got a new gf Supposed to be 104 episodes, so we're on the downhill run.
  11. Finished episodes 1-2 just in time for episode 3 to drop - loving it so far
  12. Okay, so lets unpack this ... - Kyung-Ja ... ( Hye Ji's accomplice & the actual murderer of druggie artist ) ... somehow was caught by Chinese gangsters, who had her in a deep freeze container on a ship, and had plans to cut her up to sell her organs. - Somehow ... ( insert BIG exasperated sigh here ) ... Hye Won found out about all this, and staged a rescue ... on a ship ... against Chinese gangsters ... and got no press ... Sorry to be nit-picky ... but with what army??? - Kyung-Ja has seen the light. She is now a steadfast ally of Hye Won for saving her life, and has agreed that at a time of Hye Won's choosing, she will willingly turn herself in to the police, and receive justice for killing the artist. - Now, Hye Won finds the voice recorder that JC hid, and instead of going directly to the police, she concocts this attack scheme with Kyung-Ja to pretend to have the recorder stolen again. While I fully understand that daily dramas require some suspension of disbelief, this drama just went to a whole other level. First - the voice recorder is the only physical evidence linking Hye Ji & Kyung-Ja to druggie artists murder - Kyung-Ja DEFINITELY knows that, yet Hye Won trusts/asks this known murderer to just stage an attack on her - and NOT TAKE THE RECORDER for herself??? Sorry, writer-nim that is beyond unbelievably stupid. Nevermind, that if Hye Won is so dead set on sending her sister to prison, why the deception at all? Take it to the police right then and be done with it. If its Hye Ji's lack of memories thats the problem fine, but with the police holding the evidence, its a done deal when her memories return. Second - the whole story arc above tears a glaring hole in Hye Won as a character - Not just for the stupidity involved in the decision making, but the glaring inequities in her treatment of Kyung-Ja vs Hye Ji. She saved Kyung-Ja's life ( again, a murderer ), and has made an ally of her. She also saved Hye Ji's life after the WTOD attack yet even after her sister awakes in an amnesia-tic state she makes no attempt to help reform her. Granted Hye Ji did alot more than just conspire to murder the druggie artist but still, even armed with the knowledge that her childhood attempt to protect her little sister backfired, and knowing now what Hye Ji suffered through, she gets no second chance at trust, yet a known murderer with her memories fully intact does? Make it make sense. I've been enjoying this drama because they've gone in unexpected directions with entertaining twists ... but this one wasn't a "twist" it is a clean break. P.S. while the bromance between Goofy ML and Chad Oppa is funny to watch, one has to be a villain cuz Chairman Romeo & not-all-there Hye Ji can't carry the villain roll to the end.
  13. I want the hero of the 1 Lakorn that I've watched to remain "true blue" in my eyes
  14. Its not a dream sequence - Hye Won has in fact conspired with Hye Ji's former accomplice - A MURDERER - to stage the hammer attack on herself. Still need subs, but I seriously doubt it can explain away how she finds no empathy for her sister, yet freely, and without the slightest hint of the vitriol she throws at Hye Ji, joins forces with an actual murderer.
  15. Hye Won staged the hammer attack?! ... and the accomplice is Hye Ji's former partner in crime?! This better be a dream sequence because it pegs the hypocrisy meter on so many levels.
  16. Just to be fair to Writer-nim, Hye Won has said a time or two, she finds herself becoming more and more like Grandma
  17. Wrong thread, but in brief, its still undecided. While HJ has done alot of complaining and snarling and a bit of family stalking, she hasn't really done anything illegal since the accident. Will SML be friend or foe? I think he has to be a villain especially if CJE is truly dead. Maybe HJ sides with him initially, to get under HW skin but then turn corporate spy and save her sister. I still think she goes to jail in the end, but of her own accord. HW & HJ will be sisters again in the end regardless of who is in jail. She hasn't been in the last 2 episodes ...
  18. Oh and it looks like Hye Ji is regaining her memories ... After the police cleared Hye Ji of being Hye Won's hammer attacker, she went to confront Hye Won and they got into an argument. Hye Won accused Hye Ji of killing Ji Chang, Hye Ji scoffed and argued back why would she want to kill Ji Chang? Hye Won then screamed at her ... because he was trying to kill you! ... Hye ji goes on to have an immediate flashback of the attack including Ji Chang going out the window. So Hye Won continues to descend into darkness - she freely admits Ji Chang was trying to kill Hye Ji to her face, yet insists Hye Ji is a murderer for defending herself, and killing him in self defense.
  19. Okay, just catching up ... - How can anyone blame Hye Won for Ji Eun's death? She fell down the stairs + there's a witness - The golddigger couple have become the tempered voice of reason for Hye Ji - both have pleaded with her to give up the animosity with Hye Won, and live as sisters again. - Crazy Aunt is also serving as a voice of reason for Goofy ML - she made a great speech today telling him how she didn't like him. Not because she believes the affair rumors but because Crazy Aunt can see he's falling in love and has done nothing. ... Goofy ML then goes on to deliver one of the worst confessions to Hye Won in recent daily history - Surprise! Someone tried to kill Hye Won ... and it wasn't Hye Ji I'll say it now, before they reveal who tried to kill Hye Won, but I think it was Ji Eun. After CJE's Mom flashback, I think Ji Eun used her accident to fake her death, and wants to take down Hye Won and blame it on Hye Ji. I'm also on Chairman Romeo's conversion from love obsessed devil-may-care executive, to ruthless and knowledgeable businessman...
  20. As was pointed out previously the similarities between this drama and Second Husband are startling. So in that light, with Da Jung refusing to even entertain any sort of reconciliation, we should prepare ourselves for Noel's rendezvous with a life threatening crisis, after which Da Jung upon reflection will give us the highly coveted 3 x Omma's ... cue the WTOD!
  21. ... and now Cha Ji Eun is dead? Every episode it seems there's another twist ... I'm starting to get dizzy
  22. Episode 49 - at apprx the 11:26 mark She says exactly that - the writers fail to tell/show us how she put it together, but its clear from her conversation with Chairman Romeo, and her scene with Grandma in a subsequent episode, it is made perfectly clear that JC was attempting to kill Hye Ji when he died, and they all agreed to cover it up as a suicide.
