Regarding the last scene in today episode when The Queen brings the ramyeon pot on The King's table, she pulls a book from the piles to use as a pot stand. That book happens to be the book that was exchanged in the well. So maybe the rescued that The King meant is really the one during the childhood. Not to mention in the love shot scene, The Queen mentioned something about she decided to live. Similar to what she said in the well too.
But since we don't have to complete story yet, let's see then....
I wondered why the book is in king hand, last time was in HJ hand. Perhaps the last meeting with HJ at ep 15 he asked the truth and HJ turn the book to the king and admited her lie story?

@cenching He’s probably left-handed IRL. I saw him using only left hand at various fan-signings. I think all his characters were left handed except for Cheoljong. The way he does everything confidently with his right hand as Cheoljong is mind-blowing. I use my right hand for writing, but I do everything else with my left hand. I could never grip anything so confidently with my right hand like him. I tried to hold chopsticks with my right hand once and nearly poked my eye LOL.
@shimshimae I actually never found mens’ sageuk costumes so compelling before. I usually just paid attention to womens’ hanboks. But Kim Jung Hyun made me really pay attention to his costumes. Apart from his eye popping purple robe, I’m probably the only one but I kind of find him most handsome in his royal pyjamas LOL. He looks so radiant in white. His shoulders look broadest in the white robe.
@Chibi8535 I thought my eyes were deceiving me, but he did pack so much muscles since CLOY, right??? He was already quite ripped in CLOY but the size of his biceps in Mr Queen is INSANE. He looked so unhealthy and ill while filming Time.
Haha I feel you. When I was in Korea and Japan I tried to eat with right hand cause de culture seems not accpeted to eat with left hand and the result all noodles were everywhere. So I gave up to eat chopstick with my right hand.

Also regarding whether Cheoljong knew it was So Bong who saved the banquet and sent him messages about the food.
Apparently So Bong wrote the instructions in Hangul (a modern Korean alphabet) while all the royals were supposed to use Chinese characters (like Cheoljong who used Chinese characters when they were “texting”). So Cheoljong should have recognised the messy handwriting, the use of Hangul, and the innovative foods as So Bong’s doing.
So even if the someone would try to blame So Bong for the explosion, I hope Cheoljong will remember this. When they re texting, Cheoljong use Korean alphabet not chinese characters (Hanja). But write in vertical and from right to left.
Modern korean is in horizontal but left to right.
When Chaeljong write dictionary in cover of the book is in chinese but inside is in Hangul right to left.

Is there anyone who didn’t fall for Kim Jung Hyun?? Like really, is there anyone who didn’t find him at least a bit impressive, talented, handsome, attractive...? I doubt there is anyone who isn’t affected at all by our king
I was looking forward to this drama months before it started, but I was mainly drawn because of Shin Hye Sun and because I like an unusual sounding plot. But by episode 5 or 6 I started to pay attention to Kim Jung Hyun and the rest of the history. I think their hot make-out session helped in falling hard for him LOL
Jokes aside, I really enjoy his acting. I even started watching his past works to compare it to his current acting. He isn’t an idol turned actor, but he actually studied acting, so he hasn’t had any bad performance really. He’s always been good, he’s just getting better. As someone mentioned earlier his acting range is incredible. In a span of one episode of Mr Queen he can switch from funny to serious, vulnerable to badass and everything in between. I usually pay the most attention to actors’ eyes because that’s what people notice first. And his eyes are really beautiful. Look at his eyelashes and the emotions he can convey through his eyes.
I like him since to be a sibling of gong hyo jin in jealously incarnate and start to love him since waikiki.Yes I am type of comedy drama.

Yes, you’re right! He’s most certainly left-handed in real life but seeing how he executes flawlessly all right-handed tasks makes me admire him even more! He’s truly immersed in his characters. Even in this fight he holds a “weapon” with his right hand.
I’m actually a cross-dominant person myself. I write with my right hand but I do everything else with my left hand! For example I can’t hold chopsticks or knife with my right hand, I’m so clumsy when I try to do something with my right hand, but when I write I can only write with my right hand. I don’t know if it’s common or not.wow cool so you can use both hand. I am doing fully with my left hand. Even I kicked with left foot haha. When I watched KJH in this drama and mostly with right hand, I want to know his force can use both hand especially with swords and weapon.

I think the role of Cheoljong requires him to use a right hand. He’s the king in Joseon era after all. Don’t Korean or Asian people generally think it’s proper to use a right hand?perhaps, I am a left hand and so nice to know an actor left handy also. And in this drama he has to use right hand for the sword which need an extra force. woaahhh speechless. Bravo Cheoljongi...

Yes very sure not only in waikiki, at school 2017, Time and CLOY he always eat and write with his left hand.

Are you sure? I don’t think he used his left hand as a dominant hand in Mr Queen? Maybe you confused it with his character from Welcome to Waikiki? Kang Dong Gu (his character in there) was indeed left handed but the king always wrote with his right hand if I remember it correctly.Yes very sure not only in waikiki, at school 2017, Time and CLOY he always eat and write with his left hand.

@Lady_Lara I usually don’t mind politics that much in historical dramas but having just a few seconds direct interaction between the leads is too much for me. This episode didn’t really satisfy me. And it looks like the next episode is all the same, or even worse.
@rose_1108 I think the king will be in real danger. There will be a coup or something. I think the cousin will reveal the king tried to kill the queen!!!He’s saying this to the king. God, I hate this guy!
Why am I crying reading this? This sounds like a goodbye message...One thing bothers me Kim Jung Hyun as far as I know always write or eat by his left hand. But here s with right and even handle the swords or fan with his right hand.

[Drama 2020/2021] Queen Cheorin/Mr. Queen, 철인왕후
in k-dramas & movies

As far as I know Hangul already use since 16th century but not for official in palace still use Hanja. Though King Sejong at 15th century intention when he made this for the people can read cause the hanja is too complex to reas and to write. The ancient hangul s not the same as modern hangul. They re start from right to left and from up to down such as discovered poem Songangasa at 1768.
So I think Joseon period of Choeljong already had hangul to write but for official palace write and read still in Hanja.
So for this drama when Queen write as modern from left to write horizontal but The King still ancient hangul from right to left and vertically.
