First of all, thank you all for sharing your feelings and theories, it's such a pleasure to read you.
This drama is top notch, I'm addicted. ^v^
I'm loving Jang Uk's character, especially his honesty. Whether it's good or bad, he talks about it with Mudeok/Naksu (except once, he didn't tell her he wanted a secluded life because he discovered he wasn't his dad son) and he's open about his feelings with her. When he's happy he runs to her, when he's sad he doesn't hide from her or mind if she sees his tears, even when he feels jealousy he tells her to not cheat
instead of being sulky in a corner like a usual male lead would do in yout typical kdrama. Communication is key and on his part in their relationship, it's checked, double check.
Well, he's this way with Mudeok/Naksu only and it makes sense to me. She's the only person in his life who makes him feel like he's capable of everything and anything, even if it may put his life at risk. And even in those risking life moments, she bets all on him, failure is not an option. I'll be tempted to say she gives him wings, but that's not it. It's more like she wants to do so but she can't, she's too weak so she makes sure Uk get them on its own. And you know what they say, what you worked hard to get is more valuable. ^^I think he's not this way with the others because they underestimate him. Not on purpose, but they saw him weak most of his life, it's hard to believe because his gate of energy is finally unlock he can reach in months what took them years to learn. His friends see him as a reckless boy, what he was as he was ready to do anything to find a master and well, that attitude of his did helped him find his current master. And Maid Kim & Park Jin still see Uk as a baby they must protect which is absolutely normal knowing the parent-like relationship they have with him. That's why none tought the "Naksu in blue cloth" could be him.
I don't know if OTP will end together like at the very end (please Hong sisters, do us right this time), and when I say OTP I mean Jang Uk X Naksu but romance will arise for sure.
Jang Wook has feelings for Naksu, and her only. Though I believe he has yet to realise wether it's love or affection himself (we know it's love but he doesn't). When Maid Kim asked him if he didn't want to get married because he had feelings for another woman, who is she, etc. he did not denied it. Instead he replied she doesn't know her but he's the only one she has. He's well aware Mudeok is just like a "shell" (I don't know how to express it clearly I'm sorry
) for Naksu. The way he used to emphasize he liked her eyes because of their blue marks and now he misses not seeing the marks as if he's sad not being able to see there's Naksu's soul in Mudeok's body says it all to me. But maybe it's just my impression... haha
Though Seo Yul X Naksu would have made a powerful OTP, I only see Yul alone in the end. Not that he'll never be able to find love but I doubt we'll see it. They are each other first love but Yul had forgotten about that little girl he used to take risk to meet and who grow up to become now Naksu. It feels to me like if she wasn't talking in a way that kept on giving him hints about their past, he would'nt have remembered her. As I see it, what he feels is more like lingering feelings than love itself. Since she put an end to their story abruptly, they never had closure. It saddens me to see him tormented about whether he should reveal her identity or not but I wouldn't say he wavers because of his "love" for her.
On the other hand, Naksu never forgot Yul. She thinks she's in love with him and I believe she probably were, at first. Recognizing that young boy she used to meet, noticing he hasn't changed much & still has this good boy behavior made her heart fluttered. But things aren't the same, she's not the same anymore so it was just heart fluttering moments, that's it. She was focus on regaining her power and get revenge to notice her feelings changed now and she developped feelings for Uk.
How Mudeok and Naksu will get separated if they ever are is someting I can't wait to see but that scares me at the same time. Don't wanna lose one.
In the latest ep, I would have expected Uk to choose Master Lee as he's the strongest mage at the moment and has a lot to teach, but glad he went to Songrim. It's the only place with people who really cares about him and would protect him in case things go sour. Master Heo of Sejukwon would help Uk too but that temper of his might just create more trouble. I'm still keeping the hope Master Lee will teach him a few things one day, that would be so dope. The level he would achieve then, gosh...
I'm very curious about the queen now, the reason behind her attitude. I already feel bad for the Crown Prince. In the end, he's a good boy with a bad entourage, sad.
Ugh, can't wait til next episodes, can anyone make the week-end come faster? Hehehe

Honestly, I think she's rooting for OTP. It may not look like it is, but I think she wants both of them to be happy, together.

The thing is, in the plan of each of the lead, one of them might die in the end. Either Myul Mang dies like he wishes or Dong Kyeong sacrifices herself because she won't deal with the loss of Myul Mang or the rest of the world. But I'm sure there is another option that will lead to a happy ending.
Yes, it's life to see some flower die but if she didn't mint losing the flower that is Dong Kyeong, why get involved? Like Myul Mang said, it's her destiny so she could just letthings go the way they are supposed to... And she created Myul Mang once, she could create another butterfly...
I think the deity girl can't be open about it because honestly though Myul Mang somehow loves her since she created him, he also somehow hates her because she created him and he thinks all his misery is her fault so he sees bad in all her doing.
Her reset thing is weird but we don't know why exactly she did that. Is it really because she doesn't want them to fall in love? But she's the one who keeps pushing Myul Mang towards Dong Kyeong by asking him if he can really let her die like that, if he can't change her destiny, to go to her if he's curious about her to know the real reason why she saved him...
And another thing that puzzles me is, she says Myul Mang is a butterfly but seeing how she talks about her little flower pot, the one she also showed to Dong Kyeong, it seems Myul Mang is a flower in her garden, one she's wondering how it will sprout and she seems to make the best effort to make it sprout, maybe even using Dong Kyeong as a fertilizer to do so...-

Don't know how you felt about it (maybe you were blinded by their hotness), but I felt pretty much disgusted. We don't need TV series with rape culture messages in it. Forcing someone to intimacy is wrong (even if he did love her, she didn't know that so it's not an excuse for her).Right now, JSM doesn't think OG doesn't love her. I don't believe it at all. She's not 100% sure he does because of the bracelet but I'm certain she knows or, if you prefer feel he loves her. Love is not just "I love you" it shows also through actions, and OG's actions when he first had the GGG and now are not the same anymore since quite a few episodes. First of all, he's not saying his famous "Because I love you" while showing the bracelet. Saying he's the way he is with her because of the GGG to me, sounds like her rassuring herself that when things will go awry, he won't be affected and suffer in the end because it's all fake. (recall the sadness she saw on the Heron).
But most important, I personally, absolutely don't see how she forced him to intimacy. When she kissed him in the library, he is the one who kissed her back, I can't picture him doing that at the beginning, instead he hated being associate with her. Let's say then, there were no way for him to avoid the kiss and because of the feelings the GGG gives him, he kissed her back.
Then when he kissed her several times in her office when she was pondring about marriage with Han Joo, was it him forcing intimacy onto her ?
And him willing to marry her, can a bracelet, however powerful it may be, can really make you propose to someone ? After all that, of course she knows it's not just the GGG that make him act this way.
And well, no matter how I was blind by their hotness last ep, for having view the last scene lord knows how many times, they were agrement between two adults knowing what they were walking into. Did you miss all those passages in the middle of the drama when JSM was telling him things were dangerous for her because, though he loves her because of the GGG, that's not her case, if she loves him it's real, so she was being careful around him and was never letting him stay at her place ?
I agree, officially she doesn't know his feelings are genuine (since she doesn't know for the GGG being story) but unofficially she does ! And to say that she forced him, like abusing of his feelings for her, I can't agree. It's not like she brainwashed him and he can't leave her at all. He told her first "The great sage SOG loves human JSM", the way he said it, no one would believe it's because of the bracelet.
Anyway, let's say we all have different views and perspectives of one thing. Though, when it comes to dramas, there are some where you feel like feelings of one are forced onto the other, but to me it's so not the case in this one. It's actually one of the reason why I like this drama.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he's ugly, to each their own. But I must admit that I saw him in a new light with this drama, like I'm discovering him all over again and I love that ! He brings out a certain charisma with this role that I never saw in him before. ^^

Well, as usual, preview is out of context so I'm lost. But one thing is sure, seems like this week-end things will go down ! OG doesn't play anymore, no more Mr Nice Guy (well, he's never really been Mr nice guy but you know what I mean, hehehe).
Oh, and I'm thinking, seeing how we're slowly reaching the end (I'm already crying internally), does this mean we'll only get to see the real BJ again only before they burn her ? If they ever do, because with the way ASN used her body recklessly, is BJ still a zombie ? Isn't she a demon now ? If she's ever a demon now but still has her nice personality, will they still burn her ? Can't wait to find BJ, I'm missing her, lol.

Nope, no tvN drama this weekend. I think they planned it this way thinking TWY would have been a smash it and they would perhaps have aired special episodes. I noticed since DotS, when dramas are big hit, we get to see special episodes (W, MDBC, Goblin...) It's just my guess. Maybe they just need more time for something else, lol.
