    Okay on a serious note.

An upgrade of their make-up scene before the ritual scene. Hae Soo during the make up scenes helps him to boost his ego and morale. She was healing his wounded emotional turmoil from the stigma thrown to him by the crowd because of the scar. This time , she is healing his wounded body not because of himself but because of HER. Wang So saved him more than once, but this one is very pivotal to their relationship because Hae Soo have given the chance to tend to his wounds (which is compared to the poison scene, where she can't ).Hae Soo's hanbok color is very spot on. Light Blue/White symbolizes healing . Im sure it was not randomly picked as is.

I am about to go to bed. But when I checked my phone for the last time, I saw all those juicy and hot pics, I jumped from my bed and start drooling. Why?? Why?? I cant sleep now.

Yes these two are the STELLAR actors in sagueks. I think in K entertainment, only both of them have the martial arts base to do action scenes beautifully.  With the two of them, there is alot of "floor work" as in scenes where by the fight close to the ground like tumbling. They also both emote intensely.

FYI, Lee Joon Gi did record a series of audio books for.....Learning Korean! There are 3 parts in this series launched in 2014

The last I check, this is available both on Yesasia and amazon. Am going to get one soon. :)

@kyar7jizhenll I see your point. However, while it's true that the Hwangbo clan was powerful, Lady Hwangbo was not queen during her lifetime. She was just the first consort Wang Geon had married after he seized the throne. She raised Wook's children, and when she died in the early years of her grandson's reign, he posthumously promoted her as queen. Also, MLSHR is supposed to cover only about 10 years of time (and we're in year 945 now), but Wang Wook died in 969. Plus he still needs to marry and have children before he can die.

I do think they may show Gwangjong in later years as I have seen a collection of beards for the characters of this show that included Gwangjong's and also a picture of Wook1 with a beard. But I don't know if that will give me a satisfactory ending with regard to the fate of Wook1.

Empress Cheonchu has taken its creative license with the fate of Wook and Queen Daemok, but since it's not going to be covered in the span of MLSHR's timeline, I'm just not happy with the direction the writer and director took in this one.

On a completely different note. I'm really glad that Prince Yangnyeong (King Sejong's oldest brother, who was initially the Crown Prince but was demoted) survived what could have been another bloodbath between princes because Lee Joon Gi (as well as several other Korean celebrities whose names end with Gi or Ki) is a descendant of him.

This is very interesting. Are you saying Lee Jung Ki, Soong Jung Ki is Prince Yangnyeong descendant??

I'm inclined to believe that the next two episodes will provide us a much clearer picture of the writer's approach to GHJ's effect on the events leading to Gwangjong's ascension. What happens to Eun and Seon Deok will determine how the rest of history unfolds in this drama. I don't think the writer is obliged to follow recorded history all that closely when so many liberties have already been taken with the official presentation. However, what the writer might be obligated to do is to follow the course set out by the novel.

What the "fate" of Eun and Seon Deok will give us is the tone of the rest of the drama. The latest previews are giving me a kind of Princess' Man vibe. Although the bloodbath started a lot earlier with that drama, there are similar resonances of a star-crossed romance at play. But then I should know better than to take too much stock in the previews of this show which are more often than not, de-contextualized... deceptively positioned and framed. ;)

I also got the sense from Ep. 15 that Eun and Seon Deok hiding out in Damiwon was a double-edged sword. While it did eventually expose their whereabouts, it also showed that this life-death event brought them closer together, ended the push-pull dynamic and in all likelihood led to the consummation of their marriage. I don't know that it is that simple that Su should have told So about Eun being in Damiwon. Maybe she should have... maybe she believed that she had to ensure that neither of the parties should cross paths thus limiting the chances of an all out confrontation.  But then I don't think there's any guarantee of a positive outcome either way, if the premonitions are to be believed.

Despite what some of the characters say and think regarding their position in court, everyone has choices available to them despite not having absolute liberty. No one has that. However, within the limited options that are available to them, they are still able to decide their next course of action. We see that with Uk and Yeon Hwa in a significant way as they manipulate their way out of one situation out of another largely of their own making. It shows that despite all the best calculations in the world, people and circumstances are often quite unpredictable.

My one main criticism of Su is that she's trying so desperately not to take sides in this game of thrones. It could be she's clinging on to the last vestiges of her modern sensibilities and it may be that she's trying to mitigate the issue of anyone getting hurt. But that ship has already sailed. It doesn't matter what she's trying to do, as long as she's linked to So, in the eyes of everyone else, she has already taken a side. This is no time for neutrality. Lines have been drawn. Often as we've seen in recent decades, it's a lot more dangerous not take positions on issues because sooner or later, someone else will do it for you.

For me that's her prevailing narrative. If she maintains her neutrality or mediates between opposing sides... no one gets hurt. It is a rather naive position to hold regarding the game of thrones but it has resonances with our political classes and contemporary thinking about non-interference in larger world affairs. Undoubtedly everyone's sick of conflict and war but the reality is that even if our side doesn't start the wars, someone else will.

The moment she chose to be So's person and aligned with him emotionally, she already made her choice. She can barely protect herself, much less him or anyone else. For her to try and protect Eun is an existential reassertion of that belief that she can mediate the fight. This line of thinking may have had some impact when the more friendly Mu was in power. But when you have a manipulative tyrant in the making ruling the roost, neutrality is a pipe dream. Worse still neutrality might end up hurting more people than saving them.

As I've said on numerous occasions, I don't know how things will end up... There are a number of possibilities that I've mooted. At the end of the day I don't really like speculating publicly because it will only end up creating expectations or unnecessary angst. Whatever comes, I would like to see consistency in characterization and narrative which should, in my opinion, trump obligation to official history and even the novel itself. However, I'm not interested in a happy ending for a happy ending's sake. It's got to make sense.

I also want to say in praise of LJG that I'm so glad he undertook this project. He is a true acting great because he doesn't just "act" but inhabits the role completely. He doesn't just act the part but he is Wang So from head to toe. This is my fourth LJG drama and the only one that I've adored. Two of them I dropped midway largely because of pacing and the female lead. Two Weeks, I quite enjoyed. It's probably a bit of a cliche now to say this but LJG was born to play Wang So and this is a role of a lifetime for him despite all the post-production issues. The mask, the scar, the bloody face, the Goryeo outfits... he absolutely belongs in this role and all its trappings. My dream after this is to see LJG and Jang Hyuk in a drama or film together. Truth be told, I would pay very good money to see that collaboration. Aside from his performance, I adore his vocal delivery. People are right, he is the Prince of Sageuk because he does have the voice for it as well. For me he's like the Benedict Cumberbatch of SK... someone I could listen to for hours reading out of a phone book. The man needs to do audio books fast. I won't understand much but it won't matter.

As usual. Your post never fail to impress me. I especially love the last part I highlighted. I agree with you 1000% about LJG's voice & his Wang So's character. I love Benedict Cumberbatch's voice as Smaug the Dragon. I can sit and hear LJG keep on talking even though I didnt understand a word. hahahahaha!!

MLSHR is taking over our lives. i actually stopped watching other kdramas, i had to set them aside for the time being. it is consuming all my thoughts and time, currently i just don't have it in me to be interested in other dramas, my friend who convinced me to watch it said, it's emotionally draining to watch MLSHR, their pain becomes ours.

more than once we feel like time travelling to georyo and revolt, or fly to korea and lead a revolt against sbs.

eeeek!! Same here. I have to put aside other drama coz MLSHR takes up all my energy & time. I cannot imagine what happen to me ifthis drama end. I dont know how long my MLSHR withdrawal syndrome will last. sigh!!

Yeah atlast i met somebody who likes goryeo costumes more than joseon period. Idk why I dislike that funny hat in josean. I really enjoy long hairdo flowing seamlessly in style.

Seems like some form of letter.some shocking news? In 6minute trailer he holds his chest.heart attack?

Yeah!! Me too. I really hate that funny hat in Joseon period. With bling bling and all. Guess Goryeo people are more fashionista. I love it when the men tied their hair with ribbon. They matched the ribbon with their outfit. If you look at Wang So's hair when he and HS went for boat trip. He wore blue ribbon with his blue stripe costume. Cute.

    Some translations
1: It had to be dummy's Soo

2: She deserves it because she wanted that "flat iron hair" prince (in reference to work lol)

3: She's gonna reject him again!

    4: No! She won't!

5: I can't believe it! The ship is sailing!!!

6: I don't know how to deal with it friend!

    7: Hug me!

This boys reacted over the top but still very funny :lol:

I'm REALLY HATING these baseball games nonono-onion-head-emoticon.gif Christ, all this doubting of airing or not will cause another slight drop in ratings. Why can't they give ML a break. I'm mentally aging very fast and feel like I'm growing white hair because of this. I want to look young, without having wrinkles and panda eyes, and having a fresh mind desperate1-onion-head-emoticon.gif .  Why can't they just let another channel handle the game. That's actually the point. Most IU fans are aware of how hard she works to be professional, but even more than that, to not give her haters/antis anything additional to criticize her. Hence the reason why she's pretty reserved in general. As you mentioned, it's hard to imagine anyone withstanding Joongi's charm, but it's apparent IU's strong fortitude is having to work overtime. This drama is actually the first time in a long time where she's let herself enjoy interacting with her costars, both during the drama and outside of the drama.

Feel sorry for IU. Her haters mercilessly criticized her.
