Since TvN need to attract audiences in the first glance -and most of the viewers is female- so I think they promoted bromance-theme more than the female part. Based on character description, I think Eun Tak is definitely one of most refreshing heroine in K-dramas and don't worry, based on DotS's experience, KES could make such a strong female character before and I hope KGE will success for delivering it.

I always love on how smart, easygoing and quick thinker LDW during interview! I think the reason why finally GY was more relaxed during interview was him. When YIN and KGE a lil bit stiffed (or maybe respected him so much), LDW were more relaxed and didn't mind being bossy to GY. LOL. During BTS Goblin's photoshoots, I also saw the ladies were very comfortable with him (KGE and YIN likeeee to touch/hit him, I don't blame them bcos how could we resist LDW's charm, LOL?). I mean, this was another prove how easygoing and friendly LDW is which make me love him more and more

Ahahahaha, I think we're in the same boat, first time I fell for him bcos his appearance in K-variety (TROS, Roommate and RM). And yes, those K-variety was made to entertain us in a fun way. Meanwhile when you turned into dramas, it didn't give you the same fun feeling bcos some dramas have melo genres. After Roommate, I watched HK and needed around 2 months to finally finish it bcos it was too emotional and sometimes it affected my mood. Watched HK such an exciting journey for me, it made me smile with the chemistry between LDW and LDH but I agreed that the revenge-plot was too heavy to consume, above all, I admired on how intense LDW's acting as JaeWan.
If you finally have a semester break, I recommended to watch those melo dramas. Oh, don't bother to give yourself a box of ice cream or chocolate too! At least, it'll make you feeling better after watch those heavy stories

If I'm in drinking game, maybe I'll get drunk every time YIN touched LDW during the interview. The high five moment also my highlight, the way YIN described him showed how great LDW not only as an actor but also as a friend, and LDW sometimes isn't acting nicely, he also loved to tease her too!

Thanks for the confirmation about LDW's single status. I'm too scared if LDW and Youngji's rumor was true. I want him to be happy but I don't think they were emotionally match as lover. Just like you said, I hope he's only think her as a little sister.

Indeed! Loveee loveeee the friendly atmosphere at presscon. Cmiiw, I think LDW knew YIN before bcos they were together in presenting an award around 2014? I don't know if that's just formal meeting or in real life, they already knew each other. I love YIN-LDW's interaction too, I believe she and LDW will make a 'killer' couple just like their poster hinted. LOL. I also love LDW's vibe from presscon such a playful actor who's so easy going with the coworkers, I'm happy bcos it's a very different vibe from the same guy at Goblin's first reading.

@Princi_86 I also want to see the casts in TvN's variety or other network's too! Sadly TvN didn't mind to do that, if the executives know how good LDW with the kids, he should be appeared in TROS 3rd anniversary few weeks ago.
Such an interesting topic about the ratings, doh, I hate rating but it still be the standard system to measure a success drama/fail drama. Honestly, I didn't watch many K-dramas but when I watched K-dramas and compared its with its rating, in my opinion, it's quite fair. K-audience was smart enough to watch what's good and not. Some of the hype dramas usually start with good rating but after that, if the plot, character and even production wasn't fufilled their expectation, they won't bother to watch it for the next eps. I hope Goblin has solid plot without any stupid plot holes and about characters, I think I already had emotional attachment with them especially for our naive Wang Yeo. LOL.

I assumed KS and WY aren't ghost. If WY is invicible, how could Sunny see him during their meeting over jade ring at the bridge? They're pretty much live like a normal person including do a cooking fighting, but maybe they still have special ability which made them could choose who could see them or couldn't
If I'm not mistaken, I assumed KS and ET first meeting when they're passing out at the street during a rainy day? And for WY and Sunny, it happened at the bridge right just like @winterdew explanation. I couldn't move on from LDW's sad expression at that scene.
@winterdew already explained that they were family. Anyway, my romantic side wanted her to be KS lover and.... both of them had a forbidden loveline. LOL. KSH's character was a queen, right? That's why KS and KSH was killed bcos the King couldn't forgive such a betrayal from his wife and his subordinat.
Anyway @Princi_86 the Moonlight's actor pic you posted will play a young WY?? Ahahaha such a cute choice! Beside MAMA, I also hope there's no protests movement too at that day in SK. I hope Goblin will do well in rating and could fullfiled the hype, not like LotBS and Entourage. The great thing about KES was she know how to keep audience still feel curious for the next eps of her drama. I did remember DotS's rating got boosted from only around 16% at 2nd eps to more than 20% at 3rd eps bcos the end of 2nd eps was so beautifully written. I hope KES could do the same for Goblin

GY and LDW's banter reminded me with my fave bromance all the time, the J2 -Jared and Jansen from SPN- oh plus with YSJ as the third one, he's like the Castiel at that series too. I could watched 12 season of SPN, so if Goblin success and will have 2nd season or maybe until 10th season, I'm ready to watch it for ten years from now as long GY and LDW are in it (sorry for my delulu mind.LOL)

Guys, are we still in the middle of hangover bcos of Goblin's trailer and prescon?? I'm still in the hangover mode bcos the epic trailer and their sweetness during presscon. Do you have any link whereas the trailer and presscon with engsub? Leedongwookaddicts posted some of pic with engsub but I didn't find any vids with engsub.
The 6 mins trailer was AMAZINGGGG! It feel like a movie indeed with some gigantic scenes -the royale battle, the storm ship- but then the tone became lighter with KGE's smile and the interaction between LDW and YG. I wanna kiss PD LEB for his magical works, ooopsss I think I need to post this comment at Goblin's thread.
@Princi_86 Thanks for the info about Lim Junho. Aye, aye! I love KHN at Moonlovers, there's so many beautiful princes over there but KHN as Wook (Omooo, his character name same as Wookie. LOL) was the one who stole my heart. Just like LDW, his personality outside the camera also a happy go lucky one.

Imho, GY and LDW was the stars during the presscon. I love the female leads and cute YSJ at the presscon but when LDW approach GY with his hand, damn, they're definitely sell the bromance-theme more than I expected. This is my first time to get so excited with a K-drama's bromance. I watched a lot at US series with many bromance's plot (Supernatural was my fave and J2 was rock for more than 10 years!) but I never fond at K-drama, luckily, todal LDW and GY proved they also as fun as Jared and Jansen, yay!

And about YIN, at the scene where she shaked her hair during her meeting with WY, I think she looked like LDH a lil bit. Ah yes, we will suffer a second lead syndrome when Goblin's premiere. I already suffered that during Moonlovers few weeks ago. I usually tried to start liking the main lead by watching his previous works or some of his interviews so I'll know a lil bit of his personality outside the character. For GY case, I watched the super hype Train to Busan and admired him as a talented actor but LDW is the one that I love for his acting and personality. In my case, everytime my ppls talk about GY and his movies, I also brought that he'll play in a tv drama with my fave actor. LDW isn't quite popular in my circle of friends who love cute-guys rather than manly one. But just like a salesgirl, I try my best to promote LDW and his works

Omoooo, you finished watching most all of his works only in 1,5 months. I'm still in the middle of watching his works, now I'm watching Strong Heart. After Goblin I'll try to watch Partner or Blademan.
I hope you'll enjoy the waiting time, maybe by randomly jumping to some of LDW's interviews/bts/variety appearance at youtube. That's what I do when I don't have any plan. LOL

Indeed, TROS was my turn on button for LDW's sweetness. His interaction with Daebak definitely became my turning moment as his fan. LOL I watched MG a long time ago but never a fan of him. After his appearance at TROS, I kinda obsessed with this super sweet samchon. I watched Roommate after that, and then HK, RM, and some of his previous works.

@Princi_86 I clicked love the photo at IG but I didn't know about the rank system. I agreed with you, maybe bcos the drama (HK and MG) were the old ones so our couple lost from the newest drama couples. His chemistry with LDH was magic during HK, yes, they were cute couple at MG but at HK, their chemistry is much better, both of them age like a fine wine.
@joyezz OMO.... Strong heart 125-126 was daebak! It was LDW first's appearance as MC and glad to know KJS and LJW also there to support him. As far I remember all of them (with Boom and younger brother of Park Shin Hye were friend during military). LDW also gained some weight at military and I loveeee a chubby LDW
Regarding LDW's name as Wookie, I don't know about the cute nickname, but usully, I call and write him as LDW not Wookie, Wookie sounds a bit weird maybe bcos there's also an actor who has similar name Lee Jin Wook (I also loved him before)

I think PPL couldn't be avoided in Goblin since the overseas shooting need hugeeee money. LOL at Dal.Komm and Subway, a very DotS-theme, geez, I hope Goblin won't make some doll's appearance too, I remember on how popular Neukkun and Hayang during DotS. As long the story was good, I think K-audience will tolerate the PPL. I don't watch K2 but some of comments LOL-ing on those explicit PLL at the drama but luckily, K2's rating was enough good for cable's network.

Maybe that explains Wookie's adorably confused look in some of the stills I think it'd be fun to watch Eun Tak try to confuse the grim reaper so she could cheat death.
We usually know the angel of death supposedly to be a cruel one which don't have any emotional feeling towards the humans so he could easily take away the soul. He also supposedly a very smart one in doing his works without any slice mistake. But.... maybe the naive part gonna make him a lil bit emotional? During the photo release of our 3 male, I believe WY is a emotional one (LOL at his grumpy-sad look). Naive also means you lack of experience, since he's amnesiac I think he forgets some of important part of his life. Maybe WY maybe will make lot of mistakes during his works (or maybe also in his everyday life, like he forget how to make a coffee so our Goblin will be the one who making it. Hehehehe, sorry for my delulu). Just like your previous post, I agreed the naive part hopefully will give a solid base for some comedic elements to balance the darker story between Goblin and the bride

I hope the 1st eps gonna reach above 4% and then moving up till it reach around 15% at the end. That's gonna be a new year gift for TvN. I believe K-audience is pickier now. Even the drama had so many famous casts, the story plot is the one which more important, that's why some of new drama like Entourage and LoBS wasn't as great as expected. I believe in KES, for the fast pacing plot, no stupid-triangle love romance, oh plus, she always knew how to handle audience's curiosity until the end of the show!

@winterdew You need to hear his laugh when he's with Daebak, when Daebak chose him over LDG. LDW's happy laugh is my fave part during that eps.
Not so many actors came over more than once, but some of Girlband/Singer did. During Tablo-Haru's eps or Sarang-Cho SungHoon, YG-singer like GD or SNDS came

I think Wookie is the most flawless guy that I have ever been a fan of. I always found flaws in my previous faves.
. Someone ask the writer why she makes the actors outshine the actress,she said because majority of the viewers are female haha. She also said she felt honoured that wookie approached them for the grim reaper role.

I'm late joined the party. Finally watched the 1st eps with subs and.... LOVEEEE LOVEEE IT!
@YourHighness . Such an interesting twist indeed! Eun Tak and KS's connection was beautifully written. Their fate already made me fall in love with this love story. And about Eun Tak, loveeee loveeee her, KGH nailed it perfectly! She shined at the 1st eps
and I agreed with @bila_a1 who said the characters are real and dimensional. I already feel some attachment with them! I love that KES made the characters deeper than her previous works. And about the english song, I surprised at first but the enjoyed it! It suited the scene perfectly, maybe we'll hear another english at next eps too since some of scene feel like in a parallel universe
@yoogal I assumed LDW lose some weight to portrayed WY at first just like you said. And he didn't look pale, LDW has a natural fair skin and red lips. But when you compared him to GY, I knew the skin colour difference look so contrast. About LDW weight, Luckily, during Goblin's presscon he finally gained some weight so for the next eps we could see him not as thinner as the 1st one
@Princi_86 The 1st eps rating was good, dear! Above from our expectation. 6,3% in cable is like.... a 20% in public rating, right? You finally could release your fear. I hope at the end the rating will be as great as Reply 1988. Here we go for 18% rating!
@shynaz I knew what you mean with worst editing. At first I was a lil bit afraid since LEB didn't bring his winning DotS-team to Goblin -2nd PD, editor and the team still stay at KBS and made Moonlight- but luckily, LEB's new team wrapped it beautifully, some of you think it's still a messy editing, but compared it with another K-drama before, Goblin's editing was so much better. I think 90 minutes eps was a good choice for the PD-team and audience. LEB didn't need to make some stupid editing and we didn't need to deal with editor cut version later.
@bonuibonui yes, KSH wore the same ring like Sunny when she died. Like @Princi_86 said, Sunny is the reincarnation of the queen, we need more eps to finally knew the overall story
@Asgarla I think the quality of LEB's directing will still be good. My only fear is in KES's writing. Could she keep the story still be as good as the previous eps. Based on her previous works, some of the eps were like a filler and some of eps were great
