For those of you who have given up - what was the last straw?

Guys only please. I want neither sympathetic posts nor self-righteous serves you right type of posts from the female population regarding this. 
If you're a guy who has given up the pursuit of finding a significant other, I want to hear your story. What was the last nail in the coffin? We all know the road to finding love is a difficult one and for some, it just simply wasn't meant to be. What made you give up? What was the final straw?

I think you need to get your self-righteous "females ain't worth listening to, but I'd sure like to date and bang em!" attitude out of here..

you know like 98% of the population produces offspring right?  

its not easy to live and die single. but im pretty sure more than 2% of the population at some point said forget it to love. if you are under 40 years old, i'd put money you are in the difference % and will later change views.
