Thank you very much for all your support in the recent SG JF bunggae. We hope you have enjoyed yourselves and like the goodie bags that we prepared. They would not have been possible without the help of many fans from all over the world.

A total 212 tickets were sold at $20 each, collecting S$4,240. The tickets cost S$2,014 (212 x S$9.50). Of the remaining amount, they were used to produce the premiums (paperbags, noteboooks, postcards) and offset a small amount of administrative costs. As mentioned earlier, a portion will also go towards the Breast Cancer Foundation.

The donation raised from the bunggae, together with private donations from individuals was S$1,670.

Thank you very much for all your generosity and support. I'm sure BYJ will be pleased.

April Snow will be ending its run in Singapore very soon.

It has receive both positive and negative reviews. Some of the fans love it and some didn't. No matter what, you cannot deny that BYJ has put his whole 100% effort into this movie, as he always does for every thing. For that, he deserves our support in this movie and for the future.

It will be more than a year before we have a chance to see him on the big screen again as his next project is a drama that will only start filming in December or January.

We hope to give it a befitting farewell before it disappears on the big screens here in Singapore. So, let's Go Out one more time.

This time, there will be no goodie bags but we hope you will still support it. Lynn will be helping to co-ordinate this. We sincerely hope that as many of you will join us as possible.

Recently, sort of formula, " blood- type B men are playboys"

(soil: a movie titled "blood -type B man" was released at the time

and its main actor was Lee Dong Gun of 'Lover in Paris'')

is wide- spread.

There are some problems in categorizing

persons' personalies and lovings acording to blood types, .

But the bottom line is

that basically playboys should have the qualities

such as friendliness, sweetness and loveliness.

Even though they are sweet guys,

they are not willing to be chained to a woman.

We can't reprimand blood-type-B men,

because they behave without bad intentions.

but are just born that way.

ChaeRin in WLS says

"...He used to get into troubles,

because women often misunderstood him"

LMH is like water, like wind,

The moment he seems to be in a woman's hand,

then he is out of it.

I myself also know

he is a playboy, then, why can't I take away my heart from him?

They say a rose is a flower among flowers,

because it dttracts us with its pretty shapes and unforgettable scent.

But if the two elements are all that it has,

to be sure it can't mount up to the throne of queen.

The unomittable charm of the rose is its TRONES.

He could meet a woman as a girlfriend,

When he gives a ride to EuJin who dashes out for Seoul

to meet angry SangHeok,

He makes serious Eugine instantly taken aback , then relaxed.

Bae YongJoon's Lee MinHyung is never shallow but cheerful.

I find my lips hanging up to ears.

# Coldness. power of self-restraint and dignity!

He answers about the question related to first love: "I can't remember it.

I think the important one is the one whom I meet right now.

I haven't think about first love. "

In this line, he exposes a cold-hearted side.

What is important to him is THE PRESENT.

He doesn't look back on the past.

He is cold even to himself.

He says even though there is a woman he wants to meet,

he would choose not to meet her.......

He has coldness and a stone-like will.

When sunbae(his elder colleague) offers him to drink together,

he says: "I'd rather drink water.

Cause I have a thing that I have to solve in a cold mind.

"I wanna say this. I really really wanna say this......I hate to send you to him.

I hate to see you holding his hand.... I really hate it...I....I really love you.

I really wanna say all this."

The bitter heart of Lee MinHyung.

Bae YongJoon's unique voice-color captures my mind

and doesn't allow to let me go...

Even me also wanna jump into the TV and console him

by offering a glass of liquer to him.

Meanwhile, in this situation,

he is a man who chooses to drink water instead of liquer!

Everybody knows the fact that liquer soothe our hearts only temporarily...

Liquer can help us to forget our worries only temporarily

and never ever to solve the basic problems....

But knowing is one thing and behavior is another.

Who else can choose to drink water instead of liquer when one is in agony?

He is a man of self-restraint,

who could controll his own restless mind with water....

It is Lee MinHyung's true character.

I wanna say it to him: "I...I really love you."

MinHyung says to EuJin: "I never thought it possible.

How dare you do this to the man of your friend?.......

I like women, but not a woman like you. From now on

you'd better stop making a vain effort like this."

He doesn't allow us to do a wild behavior.

When we think that he is a playboy,

it is quite a contradictory side from him.

But he doesn't allow the woman who wants to come close to him

to approach to him freely

and doesn't allow a woman who doesn't wanna leave him to stay with him.

MinHyung says: "How can you get your friend entrapped like that?....

MinHyung says to ChaeRin to part each other.

CharRin desperately cries: " Were you really a cruel man like this?

How could you become so cruel ?"

He could become that cruel.

ChaeRin only saw his good-looking appearance

and was mesmerised by his friendly, refined manner,

that's why she couldn't notice his icy-cold character.

MinHyung dislikes cunning lies and tricks.

Even though he knew ChaeRin had to do that to protect her love,

he couldn't accept it.

He is a man who can't move even one step if he doesn't want.

He doesn't want to keep the relationship with ChaeRin.

He rejects all possibility to reopen it,

severing relationship with a single stoke.

Why does ChaeRin have regrets in giving him up,

who doesn't show any regreats to cut the relationship?

Such aspects of him much more stands out

when he is compared with SangHeok.

MinHyung says to SangHyeok:

" ......I'm shaking her? Did you behave like this with Gang JoonSang due to EuJin?

I'm not that unconfident man. What I heard right now... let us suppose I didn't hear that...."

Lee MinHyung drives away SangHeok's rebuke

and challenges so firmly that SangHeok did become in low spirits.

SangHeok tries to make a situation to compell EuJin to come back to him.

SangHeok wants to take an advantage of EuJin's tender heart

versus

MinHyung with a cold expression is an incarnation of the Coldness and the Fair and Square.

The contrast makes MinHyug standing out more shiny..

# Feminist!

Sometimes Lee MinHyung has sombody hurt, because he is too frank,

but still frankness is his merit, though.

The bigger virtue is that he can apologize,

when he finds his behavior wrong.

To ordinary us, it is not easy to apologize,

even though we find ourselves wrong.

Particulary when man has to do to woman...

He thought EuJin was a woman who had been tempting her friend's boyfriend.

So he was rude in treating her.

When he found out it was all his misunderstanding,

he's willing to apologize to EuJin.

He's really a type of man with a real courage,

---what a charming man!!

"I guess I said last time that I love you.

But the one you're looking towards is not me.

All what I can do for you is to help you to do what you wanna do, I suppose."

MinHyung never forces his own thoughts and feelings upon EuJin.

He's a gentleman.

His politeness, friendliness and concerns makes EuJin sorry for him.

MinHyung slides the cup of hot chocolate to EuJin,

saying something sweet will help her to feel better

especially when she is blue.

His sense is fragrant and sweet just like hot chocolate.

When he reads EuJin is about to cry,

he takes her where she can cry herself sick without any body's interruption.

What a surprising man!

She feels gratitude.

When EuJin declares she won't get married to SangHeok and rushes out,

he takes her to his cottage

and says outside the house:

"I wanted to console you

by holding your hands, and gazing at your eyes.

It was really painful for you, wasn't it?"

Warm consoling words and slight pysical contacts lighten the burden in her heart.

Lee MinHyung exactly knows

when he has to hold her tight and when a warm small touching is just enough.

He truly understand who women are.

"Just follow where I lead you. Give me an answer. Will you follow me where I lead you?"

He knows she will follow him if only he holds her by the hand.

Lee MinHyung gazes at her eyes and asks for her permission, though.

He's a true feminist to respect woman's agreement¡¦

Hi crushpurple and welcome to the thread! Yes April Snow will be shown in Nov 23. We're hoping that it'll just be subbed since there are not much dialogues in the film. Btw, i was informed that there are TV ads in channels 2 and 23 as well. Likewise AS posters are in all major cinemas nationwide.

and BYJ's expressions, behavior, and everything,

# Essence rather than form!

Basically Lee MinHyung prefers an amicable relationship with people.

"To make people close, there isn't any better way

than to eat and to drink together."

But it's not his philosophy that a good thing is a good thing.

His character revealed again in the scene of a incident

of firing a foreman Kim,

He has his own principle.

When EuJin protests against it

and emphasizes on love and humanitarianism between people,

he corrects his principle.

Here we can see Lee MinHyung is not a man only insisting on his principle

but having a flexible capacity only to grasp the essence of life.

He says:

"Engagement! What's a big deal?

Some people decides even to divorce to be with a new lover."

Lee MinHyung usually thinks that way.

The moment we hear him,

we could look on him as immoral, irresponsible.

But, suppose your heart is away to another person,'

do you think you still can be faithful to the promise and form of marrige,

or you will choose the life that is faithful to your heart?

Everybody has his or her own thought.

Lee MinHyung who is faithful to the voice of his heart

thinks about what is the essence of love and life.

He asks SangHeok who answered the phone instead of EuJin in her hotel room:

"Isn't there EuJin-ssi?"

Athough he hesitates for a second,

he still wants to put himself through her and

straightforwardly says it to her fiancé.

Is he brazen-faced and bold ?

He displays little hesitation to show his feelings and love towards her,

for he already convinces

that EuJin doesn't love SangHeok '.

If her heart doesn't lie on her fiancé,

the form of engagement couldn¡¯t be any obstacle for MinHyung.

Why should he feel guilty? Why should he hide his love of her?

As long as the essence of love is concerned,

"are you in love with her?¡" is more important than "did you love her?"

When he sends EuJin to SangHeok who is on the threshold of death,

MinHyung thinks what is really important in life and love.

He thinks what is the essence.

He knows that even though EuJin is beside him,

she couldn't be in whole love with him in such a situation.

He knows his love would be precarious,

but he chooses to send her to him.

He prefers to send her to SangHeok

rather than to have her to stay with him and watch that she feels guilty

He has such a courage, such a will and such a sacrificing determination

to do all of above.

I can't help saying: how COOL he is!

Lee MinHyung hides himself silently

to straighten out what his pain is, what he needs to think and what he has to shake off

not as an architect but as the man who loves EuJin.

At a fishing spot near his cottage

he tries to empty his mind. ( though it turns out

to lead him into another unexpected turmoil,)

Lee MinHyung takes after Bae YongJoon.

When Bae YongJoon finished a work, he used to have a time to take off and to be alone.

But it is not easy to leave to be alone like Lee MinHyung or Bae YongJoon.

I can't take off like Lee MinHyung.

Sometimes I just can send only my mind to GaeSim(Opening Mind) Temple, a small one in ChungCheong Province. In my dream ,

I'm faced with a pond full of water lillies

after taking up a narrow path through a pine tree forest.

The beauty of this small temple and the nature around it

let go of all my worries and lets me be in rest.

It's quite a long time ago

to actually tread on the wooden bridge across the pond full of lillies.

But simply when I recalled the memory of GaeSim Temple,

I found my mind already comfortable.

While GaeSim Temple hold me comfortably, softly in its arms,

old ruined temples at deep mountains in GangWon Province

transform all heavy anxieties inside me into light dusts.

All dregs of the anxieties pressing me are swept

and I feel my heart opened.

All nature, no matter what beautiful or ugly, has a power to heal us.

When we are in nature, we try to take after nature

and then be free from all restraint of desires.

The real reasons I love Lee min-Hyung, a playboy, are....

because he is a man who can grasp the essence of situation in his life each moment

and then take the best choice....

and a man who can lay down the things belong to him,

let go of his desire, and let his mind empy ........

and a man whose heart is opened and mind is wide-awaken.

Juz wanna let u guys know that during this interview.. the interviewee told BYJ that many female fans, especially those who were married, apparantly 'abandoned' their children in their husbands' care to chase after him when he was in Japan. That made our dear Yong Joon laughed out loud in a really cute way and then paused for a moment as he was speechless. Not knowing what to say, he blurted out, "What should I do?" and continued chuckling!!

That expression..... priceless!!!

He felt sorry for what had happened and kinda felt bad that it was because of him, the husbands had to suffer. I think there was one point during the interview, he either apologised or thank the husbands.

Why are we attracted by "April Snow" to such an extent?

Isn't it because most of us have a memory of once having such feelings depicted in this film in our lives?

And isn't it because by projecting those feelings in the unfilled space of the film which Director Hur Jinho gives us, we can sympathize them as our own feelings?

Even if it is not an extramarital affair, it could be failure or entanglement of love, jealousy.

Existence of our close persons who wanders about life-and-death boundary, the hardship, death, separation, sadness.

Human's weakness, frailty, betrayal, despair, misery.

Although an extramarital affair should not be affirmed nor should it be justified, most of us have had experienced the feelings which exist therein, and therefore, isn't it because we can understand the pain, heartrending sorrow, helplessness in the characters' hearts as our own?

Isn't it because we can understand the heart-cutting bitter distress and misery of the characters, who cannot help plunging into another betrayal while they know it should not be justified, and because we know the tenderness as persons who share sadness and nestle up together?

However, it might be hard for those who have not lived through certain years to understand such feelings.

Those people who can seldom sympathize with this film, or hardly find it too much appealing, might be, in a sense, fortunate people. For, possibly they have lived till now without experiencing much of such bitter painful feelings in their lives.

The more comfort will be given to those who have suffered more in pain. And when they manage to overcome the pain, they will notice the strength and tenderness which was born in themselves unawares.

Having sympathized with the world of Director Hur Jinho which not exaggeratedly but simply and deeply depicts the subtleness of our complicated hearts, sorrow, and tenderness, Bae Yongjoon had decided to appear in this film. I am deeply impressed by the posture of the two persons, Hur Jinho and Bae Yongjoon, who insisted on trying to depict human's true figures without any compromising, without caring about any worldly expectations.

The film "April Snow" gives us quiet, tender, and heart-permeating messages: the hope and affection to keep on living our lives even if there are hardships, and the tenderness of considering each other.

Being thankful for those people who give us this film "April Snow", I would like to go to see the film today further again in order to appreciate the wonderfulness of our lives.
