Excuse my pulled back greasy hair, lol. I've been told I have a long face. Would you consider my face shape larger and longer than typical Asian girls? Any advice making my face look shorter? It looks unproportional to my body because I'm only 5'2".

i've heard long face, add more volume to hair.. or may bangs.. or contouring with make up.. you know who has a long face but looks good.. jennifer gardner?? from alias..  your face doesn't seem long though...

^Yup bangs shorten the face so I would try that out:) I had full bangs myself (and now I have side bangs) and my face looked/looks shorter.

Hi~ I'm getting tired of the way I look recently and wanted to go for a change! I don't really want to cut my hair since I'm in the process of growing it out, but I was wondering if I should dye my hair? I haven't dyed my hair since junior high, but I was thinking about a dark brown! Any other suggestions will be appreciated! :D Btw, does my makeup look weird? D: I have uneven eyes, so I'm self-conscious when I go out. . :x

I think you're pretty the way you are lol
Quite honestly...I can't think of improvements (I don't know what you're talking about your eyes being uneven..everybody's are)!
Hmm maybe full bangs? I'm always quite jealous when I see how so many Asian girls look so cute with bangs!
Your face looks slim enough for it...
Contacts? I'm a glasses wearing person myself but I prefer contacts so I always recommend them xD I personally look more open and approachable when I have contacts in. However, not everybody is suitable for contacts as my friend has an allergy against...silicone I think. So check with your doctor first!:)

Hard to say without being able to compare your face with your body but it does look a bit long, yes. Bangs can shorten the face very well, though.
I went for side bangs before I cut them in a blunt, full bang. It seems easier that way and not as drastic, yet full bangs have a much better shortening effect imo.
Also, if you don't like your bangs you can just clip them away or shove them back with hairbands :) Very easy!

Hey! I just turned 15 and was looking into trying makeup and perhaps some hair highlights or new styles that flatter my long face shape. Thanks a bunch!

Nah I've seen asian girls with many different shape faces. Honestly, I'd just recommend smile more? You know the saying .. "why the long face.."

Yeah brown would probably suit you & also, re-shape your eyebrows? They seem shaped weird.. Idk, maybe it's just me. Your make up doesn't scream "cakd on" so that's a good sign.

Girl, you're only 15 and still have lovely youthful skin! Honestly, don't start using heavy make up so soon, because sometimes the chemicals can really ruin your skin and you'll still be going through puberty/breakouts/etc. But preaching aside, if you want to use make up try mineral make up and try stick to eyeliner, mascara etc.

Not really a request for critique, just a question. Can anyone help me out for what facial shape I have? I honestly have no idea. Just trying to get a feel for hairstyles / sunglasses / shirt collars.

If I had to choose I like the first picture.  It looks softer and girlier unless you want to go for the more edgier look then go with the second one.  Because of the angle of the second picture and your hand covering half your face in the first picture it was kinda hard to choose.

I think you don't need to do any drastic because you look quite cute! What you could do to change your face a bit without doing anything major is to trim/shape your eyebrows so that they're either a tiny bit more arched? That would give you a more sophisticated look, because right now they are rather thick.

I'm not saying thick is a bad thing, but if you wanted to spice up your look a bit, that's one route you could go =]

    1. I'm an eyebrow noob. Should I make it thinner? Or perhaps make it more straight without an arch? I only plucked unnecessary eyebrow hair around it to make it clean because I'm too scared to trust the professionals! haha. maybe I should though if it should be thinner...

    2. Would my face shape be an oval or a heart? Because when I smile widely, my jaw area widens a lot and it makes it look like my face is a heart shape but when I'm keeping my face straight, it seems like an oval since my forehead is pretty tall (although you can't really tell because of bangs).

    Thanks!

Hi, I am looking to dye my hair blonde (or some other lighter color) and/or get hair extension while I am visiting in HK. Since it's so much cheaper there, I can afford to get a bigger change, what hair style would you recommend? I also am wondering what shade of blonde I should dye it at, not sure if I can pull off ashy blonde hair. Thanks for the suggestion!!

Can anyone help me with my hair? Right now it's about 3 inches past my shoulders. I'm thinking if I should grow it out really long like this

    http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qWcTbqgXsj4/TmFn-nv6k9I/AAAAAAAADYk/8yC_YmNqybw/s640/5b57e_20110706_park_minyoung_1.jpg

or have it cut short again (upper photo below). It doesn't show in the picture but I think my face is somewhere between oval and heart shaped. Also, should I keep black? I dyed it red a few months ago (lower photo below). It's a lot more red in person like Ariel from little mermaid lol.

    Hi Banana Peel! :)

I’m pretty particular with my eyebrows too.  I actually prefer thicker and fuller eyebrows than thin ones.  And if you haven’t noticed yet, thicker eyebrows are today’s current trend. It helps create a more dramatic, intense, and defined look, while also helping to draw more attention to the eyes. Thin eyebrows usually will have the opposite effect. Thin eyebrows, in my opinion, can also make the face and eyes look dull, especially if the shape is not correctly done. In fact, the shape of your eyebrows now seems fine to me. If you decide to straighten them, then I don’t think it’ll look bad either. Normally, it’s best to just leave your eyebrows natural and give it a bit of grooming and trimming. However, I am NO expert! I am only speaking of my own preference and opinion. So, you might want to reconsider getting your eyebrows professionally done. I first had mine done 2 years ago by a Korean makeup specialist, and it has made a world of difference for me. BUT before you let anybody touch your eyebrows, do your research and find a reliable place/person…

Thank you ! :D yeah I noticed thicker eyebrows are a trend these days. But sometimes because my eyes are small, thick eyebrows seem to weigh my eyes down even more if you know what i mean lol. I think I'll keep my eyebrows for now and groom it more somehow without going to a place just yet. Anyways, thanks again! <3
