Guest amydien
futons, heaters, etc.Hi! Im planning to have a kotatsu for my room since it's so cold here during winter. Im thinking of either making it or buying one. My questions are: 1. Does anyone know where I could buy a kotatsu in Toronto(or scarborough)? I know there's one in Richmond Hill, but that's too far to travel (and expensive too). OR 2. Does anyone know where they sell heaters, futons and cushion pillows in Toronto (or scarborough)? I might end up just making one but I have no idea where I could buy the materials. My brother said there's no Japanese Town here in toronto so I have nowhere to go for resources. Help? la folie
You can try J-town but I doubt you can find it there. Not much Japanese population in Toronto anyway. o_o why do you wanna buy a kotatsu? .. why not just get a regular heater from Wal-mart/Canadian Tire etc or something? Guest amydien
Where's J-Town? I asked my brother but he said there's no J-town in Canada (he's probably wrong). My room has a wide empty space in the middle. I dont have a study table either, so I thought getting a kotatsu would be a better idea
Guest zomgitschu
off-topic but um... what's a kotatsu?
Guest Melitus
off-topic but um... what's a kotatsu? Basically a coffee table what you use to eat on and it covers your leg while releasing heat. So think of it this way... Place a heater under your coffee table, cover it with a blanket and wala...there a kotatsu.

Guest Swtess
You should just make your own like Melitus said. It'll be cheaper than finding one here probably
