Kotatsu In Toronto/scarborough?

Im planning to have a kotatsu for my room since it's so cold here during winter. Im thinking of either making it or buying one.

My questions are:

1. Does anyone know where I could buy a kotatsu in Toronto(or scarborough)? I know there's one in Richmond Hill, but that's too far to travel (and expensive too).

OR

2. Does anyone know where they sell heaters, futons and cushion pillows in Toronto (or scarborough)?

I might end up just making one but I have no idea where I could buy the materials. My brother said there's no Japanese Town here in toronto so I have nowhere to go for resources.

You can try J-town but I doubt you can find it there.

o_o why do you wanna buy a kotatsu? .. why not just get a regular heater from Wal-mart/Canadian Tire etc or something?

Where's J-Town? I asked my brother but he said there's no J-town in Canada (he's probably wrong).

My room has a wide empty space in the middle. I dont have a study table either, so I thought getting a kotatsu would be a better idea

Basically a coffee table what you use to eat on and it covers your leg while releasing heat. So think of it this way...

Place a heater under your coffee table, cover it with a blanket and wala...there a kotatsu.

p-mall wouldnt have it, maybe bridle town but even then, doubtful

im tryin to find one too haha, its freezing in winter, specially if your in a basement
