Peter Chan Enshrouds March in Dark October

Dark October, produced by Peter Chan, is slated for production in March. Director Teddy Chan was planning the film back in 2004 when the investor committed suicide resulting in the production being stalled. With Peter Chan stepping in, financing for the 1.5m yuan film has been secured. The cast is likely to include Chow Yun Fatt and Donnie Yen, and perhaps Lau Ching Wan, Jacky Cheung, Leon Lai, Aaron Kwok, Ji Jin Hee, Kwon Sang Woo.

In Dark October, Sun Yat Sen (Chow Yun Fatt) heads to Hong Kong to raise funds for uprising activities. Learning of assassination attempt by the Manchu government, the businessman (Leon Lai) in Hong Kong who is responsible for receiving Sun Yat Sen hires elite bodyguards (Donnie Yen et al.) to protect him, eventually escorting him back to Guangzhou safely.

The possibility of Sangwoo taking this offer is quite slim.

I guess he will focus more on domestic market first and dont forget the project for Road No.1 coming out as well.

TY/azura - I couldn't agree with you more re-this HK project - it sounds very interesting & cool but I don't want him playing the 2nd male lead. He'll be busy doing promos for the movie, busy filming for the upcoming drama, busy preparing for another drama after Cinderella Man. Gosh, our man is a hardworking star indeed! A Road No. 1 drama is waiting for him - awesome! A dual role for Cinderella Man - I have no doubt that he’ll do great in his role, he's a great actor. I’m greatly anticipating this drama.

I dun wanna see him in that too. Not because he is the 2nd lead... i dun mind the 2nd lead if he would colaborate with the great Tony Leung... but because my least fav is CYF ... hahhaha Thats why i dun wanna see Sangwoo in DARK OCTOBER.

He should be in BRIGHT OCTOBER instead

HK project?? hope he get the leading role, but i guess like Azura said, in my opinion it's quiet slim like probablility, he has already scheduled to film two dramas, where can he find time for a movie? a drama is taking long hours of filming and so, can't imagine him shooting two things in the same time, it will be tiring,

Son Tae Young Speaks About Luke

Actress Son Tae Young who is married to Kwon Sang Woo and had given birth to a healthy son on 6th February, did a short interview with fashion magazine In Style which will be published today, 16th February as she talks about the joy of being a mother now.

A week before giving birth, she had done a photoshoot for In Style which was enclosed with the interview. Son Tae Young expressed, "Its hard for me to explain but he (baby) is really cute. He's definitely just as handsome as his father, with his facial features resembling that of oppa's face. I am very grateful to God for a safe delivery but giving birth was like being in a big crash. But I am happy its all over. I am now breast-feeding my son who is called Luke. He only wakes up twice in the middle of the night, with everyone saying he is a filial son now."

Son Tae Young also mentioned her husband's plan for Luke in the future which was somewhat a surprise, "Oppa had said that should we have a son, he will be grooming him into becoming a soccer player and had even bought a mini soccer jersey. Whenever he sees Luke lying in the cot, he would tell him 'come with daddy to play soccer'."

A Story Sadder Than Sadness

It was a Valentine's day outing for the stars of up and coming movie A Story Sadder Than Sadness (슬픔보다 더 슬픈 이야기).

Hallyu stars Kwon Sang-woo, Lee Bo-young and Lee Beom-su were at Seoul's Kangnam Library on Valentine's day to meet the fans and sign autographs. The pre-movie promotion was well received and many turned up to catch a view of the "new daddy" Kwon Sang-woo and their favourite stars.

The movie will open on White day i.e. March 14, 2009.
