JH and SA came running out of the bus, happily one after another with JH holding the bag of fish, chasing up to see his mom. SA was trying to catch her breath before she could catch up with JH. They came into JH’s mom while she was knitting.

SA: Mother!

JH: Fish!

SA: Mother, we bought some fish for dinner!

JH’s mom: You’d better catch your breath.

JH: Mom, let’s have the mackerel.

SA: No, the pike, mother.

JH’s mom: You’re making me dizzy. You’re hands are freezing cold.

SA: It’s so nice and warm in here.

JH’s mom: Fried, roasted, or sautéed?

SA: Can you roast it?

JH: You do it. Fry it, roast it, sautée it.

SA: Okay, I’ll roast it till it’s black.

They were all laughing…

One, Two, Three…

Next scene is when SA was trying to cut the fish, but it fell off to the ground. SA looked and picked up the tail, and laid it on the cutting board.

SA: 1! 2! 3! Okay!

JH came into the kitchen and took the fish from her to the sink. (He was cleaning it)

SA: I thought you told me to do it.

JH: I feel sorry for you.

SA: Thanks.

While JH was cleaning the fish, SA tried to kiss him on the face.

JH: Sweetie.

SA was being playful and they both laughed while looking at each other. SA was holding his arms.

Next scene was at the eating table… JH, SA and his mom were eating and JH”s mom looked at SA and nodded to her to make a move. SA looked at his mom and the at JH.

SA: Hey! Think we can rent a place of our own in 3 years?

JH: Why are you asking that out of the blue?

JH’s mom: You! Such a silly…

SA: Mother, will you live alone after JH gets married?

JH’s mom: I’ll give him to you, and enjoy being on my own.

SA: So who’ll carry you till you asleep?

JH’s mom: I’ll have to find another man.

SA: No other man would do that, mother. Wake up!

JH’s mom: You can still have JH.

SA: We can share him.

JH: Come on, what am I, an object? You two live together.

SA was laughing…

JH’s mom: OK. When will you be my daughter-in-law?

SA: I’m not sure.

JH: Mom, what are you talking about?

JH’s mom: I proposed to you, you dum wit.

JH’s mom and SA were laughing and so was JH.

SA: Try some mackerel.

SA used her chopstick to pick some mackerel and feed them to JH.

JH’s mom: How sweet!

SA: Oh!

SA: You too, mother.

JH’s mom: I’m fine.

JH and SA: Aaahhh! Mother.

SHaring one of my favorite translation scenes with you and everyone here:

After dinner, JH walked SA home. It was dark and light showers, and JH was holding the umbrella for the both of them.

JH: Mother really wants me to meet your family. We’ve been dating for over a year now. Other girls beg their guys to walk them home, but not you.

SA: Do you love me?

JH: Want me to make a copy of my heart and give it to you?

SA: I know you would do anything for me. I’m so weird.

JH: It’s not just mom who can’t wait. SA, I’m walking you tonight.

SA: JH…

JH: Why can’t I go to your home?

SA: JH, you’ve been so patient. Please…

JH was mad that he couldn’t walk her home tonight. He took SA’s hand to hold the umbrella and he walked away… not facing her.

JH: SA, you have a secret? Are you hiding something from me?

SA: No, you know I wouldn’t, why would I… okay… okay… next Saturday’s my dad’s birthday. You can come to my house then, OK?

JH: You mean that.

JH turned around after hearing what SA have said.

JH: You do?

SA nodded her head.

JH grabbed her and hugged her really tight.

JH: (yelling loudly) JH finally gets to meet SA’s family. JH finally gets to meet SA’s family.

After finding the truth at SA’s fathers birthday party, JH was very upset and mad that SA didn’t tell him the truth. Here’s the translation:

SA: You really want to break up? Do you? JH!

JH: Why didn’t you tell me?

SA: I didn’t want to lose you.

JH: You thought I’d panic and run away when I know who you are.

SA: No, it’s not that…

JH: Don’t you know me now? I’ve had a tough life, but I’m proud.

SA: I just thought that…

JH: You thought I’d be afraid? Go.

JH walked away from SA and SA ran after him.

SA: I’m sorry. I’m begging you.

JH: Since she found out you’re the chairman’s daughter… my mom can’t even say your name. Even if he were to accept me… I can’t play your father’s son.

JH walked away from SA, and SA just stood there looking at him.

Next scene happens… SA drove JH to the cabin where they spent the night during the bad snow storm.

JH: Where are you taking me?

SA: I’m kidnapping you.

They came to the cabin and SA parked the car… smiling at him happily.

SA: Aren’t you proud of me? I looked everywhere to find this spot. It’s more dangerous for a girl to hike alone than to drink alone.

JH: Let’s go back.

SA: Life passes in a flash, but regrets last forever. Let’s spend the night. I want no regrets.

JH and SA were sitting next to the fireplace inside the cabin.

SA: I’ll disown my father. I’ll die if you asked me to. Is that still not enough?

JH: SA

SA: I don’t like being a tycoon’s daughter. I wish it were a position I could give up. Can you imagine it? My mom died when I was 10. Ever since, I’ve lived with my dad. And he’d gone six months out of a year. I don’t like eating with all the servants around. I don’t like it. I had to give up art and my plans to study aboard. If I have to give you up, I’d rather die. Is it a crime to be born rich? Is it a crime that I couldn’t bring myself to tell you? Was it so heinous that it cost me your love? You want to break up now? You’ll have to kill me first.

SA was crying non-stop and JH came over to comfort and hug her. JH was tearied eye as he was holding her in his arms.

Next scene was at the sunset…

SA: Dad will come to like you.

JH: I’ll like him first.

SA: You sure you can do that?

JH: He may be high and mighty, but not as high as the mountains. His disapproval can’t be as deep as the ocean.

SA: You can win him over, but don’t beat him down.

JH: I know.

SA: He may be the chairman to others, but to me, he’s just an old man. I dye his hair. When he’s sitting in front of the mirror, he’s a grandpa. Sometimes, he cries when he watches soap operas. Just think of him as a tired old man.

JH: Okay.

SA: I want… us to be together for a long, long time.

JH: Yes, for a long, long time.

SA: Not like my mom who left my dad. Not like your dad who left your mom. Always together.

JH: Okay.

JH and SA hugged each other tightly.

JH (being JJW) and SA were talking outside the hospital.

JJW: Has the chairman’s condition gotten better?

SA: He’ll get well in time.

JJW: You told me that the man you loved was falsely accused of trying to kill your father and ended up dying.

SA: Yes.

JJW: Do you think he tried to kill your father?

SA: No, I’ve never thought that for a second. He never tried to kill my father. He was framed and falsely accused. The whole world can say he’s the one, but I know he’s not.

JJW: That means the real killer is out there. Have you ever thought that the real killer works at SR Electronics?

SA: Why do you think that?

JJW: The real killer is out there if he’s not the killer. So why didn’t the real killer try to hurt your father again? Because he believed that your father would never come out of the coma. But now that the chairman’s out of coma, he will strike again. We have to move your father to a safer place, and you have to have someone you trust the most to protect him.

SA: The person I trust the most? Who would it be?

JH: Can I recommend him to you? Do you remember Kim Dong Ook?

Flashback of Kim Dong Ook and JH came into SA’s mind…

JJW: I’ll send him to you soon. Please cooperate with him.

SA: JH.

JJW: Don’t trust anyone but him. That’s the only way to protect the chairman and to bring your first love back.

Flashback of JH being taken to jail came into mind…

JJW: I’ll be leaving now.

JJW left SA.

SA: Thank you, GOD. Thank you! Thank you!

In SA’s mind, she’s saying the following:

This is not a dream, is it? It’s OK if it’s a dream, but don’t let me wake up. I don’t care though, you kill me right now. Please don’t let me wake up, GOD.
