Mannosuke
This one guy I know learned one term a day (like taking an object and translating it). Literally, one term everyday, making sure he could read it and write it by heart and know its meaning and how to use it in a sentence. Usually a group of related terms, like picking up a chart full of fruits and tackling each one at a time. Toss a couple relevant verbs in there to pick up the pace. 4 years later, he's pretty damn fluent. Though his pronunciation may be lacking, but that's not important he can pick it up later. Sounds like a pretty good way to learn for people that lack motivation. Setting aside 30 minutes a day for one term, looking at examples of it and how many different ways it can appear. Pretty intense.
