Namgoong Min may be returning to the small screen soon!

On July 2, STARNEWS reported that Namgoong Min will be starring in tvN’s new drama “Our Film” (working title).

In response to the reports, Namgoong Min’s agency 935 Entertainment shared, “Namgoong Min is positively reviewing the offer to star in tvN’s new drama ‘Our Film.'”

“Our Film” follows the story of a film director experiencing a “sophomore slump,” losing momentum after a successful first project, and a terminally ill actress who finally tries to live as the main character at the end of her own life.

Namgoong Min is reportedly in talks to play the role of film director Lee Je Ha, who wants to shoot a film about terminal illness with a leading actor who is actually terminally ill. Lee Je Ha swept the film festivals with his debut commercial film based on his own screenplay, but he currently lives in a desolate state without a clear future.

The upcoming drama will be helmed by director Lee Jung Heum of “Inspector Koo” and “Nobody Knows,” and it will be penned by scriptwriters Han Ga Eun and Kang Kyung Min.

Earlier in May, Namgoong Min won Best Actor in the television category for his performance in “My Dearest” at the 60th Baeksang Arts Awards.

Vincenzo’s Jeon Yeo Been who was last seen winning hearts with her moving performance in the K-drama A Time Called You is reportedly in talks to lead an upcoming romance titled Our Movie alongside My Dearest’s Namkoong Min. 

 

On July 3, 2024, South Korean media outlet Sports Donga reported that the Vincenzo fame Jeon Yeo Been will be leading the upcoming tvN’s romance K-drama Our Movie (literal translation of the Korean title) alongside My Dearest’s Namkoong Min. 

According to sources, Jeon Yeo Been has received the offer to lead Our Movie and is in the process of discussions. It was further added that the Vincenzo actress was positively considering the offer and is in the final stages of a decision.  As of yet, no confirmations have been made through the actress’ agency. 

Our Movie is being hailed by the Inspector Koo director Lee Jung Heum. The storyline follows the love story between a director and an actress who has been diagnosed with a terminal illness. 

Jeon Yeo Been will be seen as the actress if she takes the role, who decides to become a lead in a film after her diagnosis. The rookie director of the film will be portrayed by Namkoong Min who is in a slump. He falls in love with Jeon Yeo Been through the filming.

Actress Lee Seol will reportedly join the upcoming K-drama Our Movie.

On August 20, media outlets shared that Lee Seol will be added to the cast of the upcoming K-drama Our Movie. Namkoong Min and Jeon Yeo Been will reportedly lead the upcoming K-drama. 

Lee Seol's side hasn't responded to the casting reports. 

If the actress decides to join Our Movie, this will be her second upcoming K-drama. Lee Seol is also set to join the new Netflix original series Pleasant Outcast which will be led by Sung Yoo Bin, Won Ji An, Jo Hyun Chul, Bae Gang Hee, Lee Suk Hyeong, and Uhm Jun Gi.

Aside from K-dramas, Lee Seol will also join the upcoming films Mist and Night Trip.

Lee Seol started her acting career in 2016. She is known for being part of the K-dramas One Ordinary Day, D.P., When the Devil Calls Your Name, and more.

 

 

Our Film will showcase the story of a movie director and an actress with a terminal illness. The movie director is experiencing a slump after the success of his first work while a terminal actress decided to be the main character of her life before she died.

Director Lee Jung Heum who is in charge of the K-dramas Inspector Koo, Nobody Knows, and Falsify will also work on the upcoming K-drama. Writers Han Ga Eun and Kang Kyung Min will pen the script. The K-drama will be produced by Beyond J.

Namkoong Min will play the role of Lee Je Ha, a film director who wants to create a movie with a real terminally ill patient as the main lead. Jeon Yeo Been will portray the role of the terminally ill actress. 

Meanwhile, there is no confirmation yet on the role that was offered to Lee Seol. 

According to reports, Our Movie will be broadcast on tvN.

Earlier, it was reported that My Dearest's Namgoong Min and Vincenzo's Jeon Yeo Been would be taking on the lead roles in the drama. The drama will tell the story of a director who is stuck with a jinx and an actress who has limited time on her hands. 

On August 20, reports confirmed that actress Lee Seol has been cast for the highly anticipated drama Our Movie alongside Namgoong Min and Jeon Yeo Been. The tvN drama is expected to release in 2025. Lee Seol made her debut in 2016 with the drama Deux Yeoza Season 2, in which she took the main role. She first appeared on the big screen in 2018 for the film Her Story. The actress is known for her roles in dramas like Less than Evil, One Ordinary Day and Between Him and Her. She is best known for the hit Netflix series D.P. 

 

Namgoong Min is considering the role of Lee Je Ha, who is a popular director who earned massive success with his first commercial film.
