Kim Ha Neul is returning to KBS after eight years.

On April 25, media outlet Star News revealed that Kim Ha Neul will be the main lead of the upcoming KBS K-drama Let's Get Caught by the Neck (literal translation). 

The upcoming K-drama Let's Get Caught by the Neck will be directed by Lee Ho. It will tell the story of a reporter who gets accused of being a murderer. The drama will showcase her process of finding the truth to clear her name. The series will be based on the popular Naver web novel. 

Kim Ha Neul will play the role of Seo Jung Won, a special reporter who will be suspected of murdering a person. 

There is no other confirmation yet on who will work alongside Kim Ha Neul in the upcoming KBS K-drama. 

Let's Get Caught by the Neck is scheduled to begin filming in the second half of 2023. The upcoming K-drama will premiere on KBS and is planned to air in 2024.

 

 

This will be Kim Ha Neul's comeback to KBS after eight years. She last appeared in a KBS K-drama in 2016's On the Way to the Airport. 

Before she stars in Let's Get Caught by the Collar, Kim Ha Neul will first lead the upcoming 2023 K-drama The Rich. She will be working alongside Rain and Shin Soo Jung.

On April 25, StarNews reported that Kim Ha Neul had been cast as the female lead in the new KBS drama “Let’s Get Grabbed by the Collar” (literal translation).

In response to the report, her agency IOK Company commented, “Kim Ha Neul received an offer for ‘Let’s Get Grabbed by the Collar,’ and she is currently reviewing it.”

According to Star News on the 25th, Yeon Woo Jin and Jang Seung Jo have been cast alongside Kim Ha Neul as the leads in the KBS drama Let's Get Caught by the Neck (written by Bae Soo Young, directed by Lee Ho).

Han Chae Ah will be part of the upcoming K-drama Let's Get Caught by the Neck led by Kim Ha Neul.

On January 12, Han Chae Ah's agency confirmed that the actress will be part of the cast of the upcoming KBS2 K-drama Let's Get Caught by the Neck. 

This will be Han Chae Ah's second upcoming K-drama for the year. Aside from Let's Get Caught by the Neck, Han Chae Ah is also set to star in the upcoming series It’s You, Out of the Blue which will be led by Jung Yong Hwa, Hong Seung Hee, Lee Yi Kyung, and Park You Na.

KBS announced that Let’s Get Grabbed by the Collar has been lined up on the upcoming schedule, with Kim Haneul (Kill Heel), Yeon Woo-jin (Daily Dose of Sunshine), and Jang Seung-jo (Death’s Game) headlining the mystery-thriller.

Based on an award-winning web novel by the same title, journalist Seo Jung-won (Kim Haneul) is our resident collar-grabbing heroine who can get a little invested when working on a scoop. Fired up by justice, she’s grabbed a few collars in her day when encountering the jerks who committed a crime.

 

When an intriguing murder case crops up, though, this leads Jung-won to collaborate with detective Kim Tae-heon (Yeon Woo-jin), who also happens to be her ex-boyfriend. Rough around the edges, Tae-heon is the type to always do whatever he wants, but is also considered the ace of his team.

Rounding out the threesome, token chaebol and novelist Seol Woo-jae (Jang Seung-jo) is Jung-won’s husband. Although he appears to have it all, he suffers from inner turmoil and his one safe space is with his wife. That is, until a recent string of events that start to unhinge his walls of security.

In supportive roles, the cast includes Jung Woong-in (Moon in the Day) playing Woo-jae’s dad and the conglomerate’s president, who doesn’t approve of his son’s marriage. But due to the tragedy in Woo-jae’s past, Dad is also softhearted when it comes to his son.

The upcoming KBS drama Let's Get Caught by the Neck is a thriller that follows a journalist who is famous for her exclusive news stories and a passionate detective as they jointly investigate a series of murder cases. 

It is based on a Naver series written by New Luck.

The script reading scene brought together the actors and production team who will lead the K-drama. Director Lee Ho Jae, writer Bae Soo Young, and actors Kim Ha Neul, Yeon Woo Jin, Jang Seung Jo, Jung Woong In, Yoon Je Moon, Han Chae Ah, Jung In Ki, Kim Min Jae, among other cast members attended. 

Actress Kim Ha Neul plays Seo Jung Won, a famous journalist with a strong sense of justice who believes in the people's right to know. She is a woman who fights the challenges that come her way.

Yeon Woo Jin plays Kim Tae Heon, the ace detective of the violent crimes unit. Kim Tae Heon is strong yet has a boyish charm to him.

Kim Ha Neul takes on the role of reporter Seo Jung Won, who is also the host of the current affairs television program “Let’s Get Grabbed by the Collar.” Thanks to her unique and straightforward way of exposing all kinds of torts committed by culprits while making sarcastic remarks, Seo Jung Won gains great popularity and attracts the general public’s attention. At the height of her career and love life, Seo Jung Won’s life is thrown into a huge whirlwind when she witnesses a murder.

Based on a popular web novel, “Let’s Get Grabbed by the Collar” is a thriller drama that follows an investigative reporter and an ace detective as they jointly investigate a series of murder cases.

Yeon Woo Jin will play Kim Tae Heon, a stubborn detective in the Violent Crimes unit. Kim Tae Heon, who once loved Seo Jung Won (Kim Ha Neul) passionately in the past, reunites with his ex-girlfriend due to a mysterious murder case and winds up going through a whirlwind of emotions.

The newly released stills capture Yeon Woo Jin as ace detective Kim Tae Heon, whose passion and determination to solve cases are evident in his strong aura and charismatic expression.
