ENA’s new drama “Evilive” has dropped stills of Kim Young Kwang!

“Evilive” is a noir drama that tells the story of a poor lawyer who meets an absolute villain and transforms into an elite villain. Director Kim Jung Min who helmed the dramas “Bad Guys” and “Remarriage & Desires” will be in charge of production.

Kim Young Kwang will play Seo Do Young, a former baseball player and the No. 2 man of a gang.

The released stills depict the villainous Seo Do Young. In one still, Seo Do Young is captured with a piercing gaze and intimidating aura in a prison cell. Seo Do Young’s cool demeanor and inscrutable facial expressions in the stills have viewers curious about the evil Seo Do Young that Kim Young Kwang will portray.

ENA’s new drama “Evilive” has dropped new stills featuring Shin Jae Ha!

“Evilive” is a noir drama that tells the story of poor lawyer Han Dong Soo (Shin Ha Kyun), who meets pure villain Seo Dong Young (Kim Young Kwang) and transforms into an elite villain. Director Kim Jung Min who helmed the dramas “Bad Guys” and “Remarriage & Desires” will be in charge of production.

The newly released stills capture Shin Jae Ha’s transformation into Han Dong Soo’s half-brother Han Beom Jae. With his dexterity with computers, Han Beom Jae works at a second-hand computer shop as a computer programmer and as a middleman who introduces Han Dong Soo to lucrative cases. Han Beom Jae becomes embroiled in an incident along with his older brother Dong Soo, who turns evil because of the job that he introduced him to.

Shin Jae Ha impressed viewers by portraying villains perfectly in his previous dramas “Taxi Driver 2”  and “Crash Course In Romance.” Anticipation is high for the actor’s new transformation.

The Genie TV original drama EVILLIVE, premiered on October 14th (written by Lee Seung Hoon / directed by Kim Jung Min and Kim Sung Min), is a crime noir drama that tells the story of a survival-type lawyer who encounters an absolute villain and transforms into an elite villain. The synergy between the universally acknowledged top actor Shin Ha Kyun and the actor Kim Young Kwang, who is in a continuous state of transformation, is expected to elevate this drama into a highly anticipated work.

In EVILLIVE, Kim Young Kwang takes on the role of Seo Do Young, the second-in-command of a criminal organization. In the drama, Seo Do Young possesses an unpredictable personality that goes on a rampage once the fuse is lit. He used to be a professional baseball player in the past but entered the criminal world and is currently incarcerated. The story of "Evil Live" begins when he makes an irresistible offer to Han Dong Soo (played by Shin Ha Kyun).

Actor Shin Jae Ha, well-known for his roles as a villain, is set to reveal a transformation that breaks free from his stereotypical image.

On September 15th, the production team of the Genie TV original drama  EVILLIVE unveiled stills featuring Shin Jae Ha, who plays the character Han Beom Jae, the stepbrother of Han Dong Soo (Shin Ha Kyun) and a case broker.

EVILLIVE is a noir crime drama that tells the story of a lawyer who turns into a villain after meeting a wicked criminal.  

What's particularly intriguing is that Shin Jae Ha, who has garnered success with consecutive villain roles in previous dramas like Crash Course in Romance and Taxi Driver Season 2, is now teasing a transformation that casts him in an entirely different light. In EVILLIVE, he showcases a side of himself that is in stark contrast to his previous antagonistic roles.

Han Beom Jae is a programmer and currently works at a secondhand computer store. He introduces profitable cases to help his brother but finds him transformed into a villain due to a case he takes on.

On September 20, YY Entertainment, announced that actor Bae Na Ra will appear in the original Genie TV drama EVILIVE.

Bae Na Ra received acclaim for his role as Corporal Jang Seong Min in D.P. Season 2, showcasing his delicate acting skills and outstanding singing abilities. He continues his successful career with his confirmed appearance in EVILIVE.

Directed by Kim Jung Min, known for dramas like Bad Guys and Remarriage and Desires, EVILIVE is a crime noir drama about a public defender who encounters an absolute villain and transforms into an elite villain. Previously, actors such as Shin Ha Kyun, Kim Young Kwang, and Shin Jae Ha have been confirmed to appear in the drama, raising expectations.

In EVILIVE, Bae Na Ra will play the loyal and straightforward subordinate Kwon Oh Jae, who serves Seo Do Young (played by Kim Young Kwang), a character quite different from his role in D.P. Season 2, promising another impressive acting transformation.

Choi Byung Mo will be added to the cast of the upcoming action thriller K-drama EVILIVE.

It was officially confirmed on September 19 that Choi Byung Mo would be joining Shin Ha Kyun, Kim Young Kwang, and Shin Jae Ha in the upcoming ENA and Genie TV series EVILIVE.

Choi Byung Mo will be playing the role of Moon Hae Joon, one of the lawyers from the Myeongro Firm. He grew up in a family full of lawyers without flaws. He feels inferior to Han Dong Soo, Shin Ha Kyun's role who was his study mate while reviewing for the bar exam. 

EVILLIVE will tell the story of a livelihood lawyer who has a dark side meets an absolute villain and transforms him into an elite villain. 

The upcoming K-drama will premiere on October 14 through ENA and Genie TV. EVILLIVE will have a total of 10 episodes.

EVILLIVE is the collaboration work of directors Kim Jung Min (Remarriage and Desires and Secret Royal Inspector), Kim Sung Min (Where Should We Go), and screenwriter Lee Seung Hoon (Get on the Bus).

EVILLIVE will be the third K-drama of Choi Byung Mo for the year. The actor started 2023 with Joseon Attorney: A Morality wherein he worked alongside Woo Do Hwan, WJSN's Bona, VIXX's Cha Hak Yeon, Lee Kyu Sung, and Chun Ho Jin. He also appeared in Shadow Detective Season 2 in a cameo role.

Aside from K-dramas, Choi Byung Mo was also busy with two films this year. He was part of the Netflix original movie Kill Bok Soon and the film The Moon led by Sol Kyung Gu, EXO's Doh Kyung Soo, Kim Hee Ae, Park Byung Eun, and Jo Han Chul.

His younger half-brother is Han Beom-Jae (Shin Jae-Ha). Han Beom-Jae works at a second-hand computer shop and he also acts as a case broker for Han Dong-soo, bringing him clients. One day, Han Beom-Jae notices that Han Dong-Soo has changed since he brought him a case.

That case involves Seo Do-Young (Kim Young-Kwang) who is the #2 ranked member of a crime organization. He is a former baseball player and appears nothing like a typical gangster. Behind his handsome looks, he hides a cruel and unpredictable madness.

Although I want to believe the latter when he says that they’re friends, I expect we’re in for an unsettlingly dark ride when the noir sets off on October 14. [Sports Donga]

Genie TV dropped a special poster for its upcoming crime K-drama Evilive.

Evilive is a noir crime drama about a lawyer who turns into a villain after meeting a wicked criminal.  

The poster features the three main characters of the K-drama: Han Dong Soo (Shin Ha Kyun), Seo Do Young (Kim Young Kwang), and Han Beom Jae (Shin Jae Ha). Accompanied by the text, "Watch closely. Who lives and who dies", the poster gives a glimpse of the intense battle that lies ahead. 

In the poster, Han Dong Soo stands with a gun in one hand and a weathered lawyer's bag in the other. He is shown dressed in a dirt-stained suit and wearing broken glasses while keeping a sly smile, like he has won a fight, hinting at a change of character as he goes from good to evil.
