Guest OsiX Posted November 5, 2006 Share Posted November 5, 2006 I think what you mean is 'normalizing', a program such as dbPowerAmp can do this, as well as reencode it to a lower bitrate to shrink the size. However, normalizing, obviously mean you must reencode a lossy format thus losing (some, though not much) quality. A better way of adjusting sound levels is to use audio players with ReplayGain support that lets you add 'rgtags' onto the file which marks how loud the song is suppose to be played.
