Question about the "Ai" honorific... When is it applied? It is mentioned 2 times in episode 7. The first one is when Nott talks about a student who transferred from engineering to arts, he called him Ai' Win  and when Kong asked Fang about where Arthit was, Fang called Arthit Ai' Arthit. Is it different to P or something?

Not thai and can't speak it but I assumed it would be for same age friends (P' for older, nong for young) but since Arthit's nickname is Ai-Oon maybe it's a diminutive like Xiao in Chinese (litle)? I'm really curious too, I hope a Thai speaker can enlighten us!

I dunno about the same age stuff. The one who called Arthit Ai-Oon was his senior and now a graduate while Arthit is in 3rd year. I assume his senior is 2 years older than him atleast. Shouldn't it be N or Nong? Maybe it's a familiarity thing..

Anyway, I googled it and google brought me to KUDALAKORN's website article about thai honorifics : http://www.kudalakorn.com/thai-honorifics-vocabs/

The article said:  Nung, E, Ai: You probably won’t see these in my translations but they are used often as an insult. I do not have a real and valid reason as to why I exclude them, it just feels right that way. 

So Ai is probably an honorific to tease/insult someone you're close with? I'm just guessing. Somebody enlighten us please.

My favorite scene in ep7 is that one in whitch Arthit and Kongpope are talking with each other in last part. But I was completely absorbed in watching this subbed ep7 , so  I was moved to drool in the end.....
