MBC’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama “Lucky Romance” held a press conference on May 25 at MBC’s Golden Mouse Hall.

Male lead, Ryu Jun Yeol, was asked if he was worried about “Lucky Romance” after enjoying much success with “Reply 1988.”

The actor answered, “I always have a lot of worries before starting all work. After starting filming all of my worries were taken care of and I am cheerfully and happily filming.”

He also showed great affection for “Reply 1988″ and commented, “My previous drama ['Reply 1988'] is a work that I am thankful for as it helped me get to this spot. Rather than surpassing my previous drama, it’s more important to do my best on ‘Lucky Romance’ through concerns and efforts.”

Ryu Jun Yeol continued, “In a chatroom with my fellow actors from my previous drama, we support one another. We support each other and tell each other to be healthy.”

“Lucky Romance” is a romantic drama that tells the story of a woman who blindly trusts superstitions and a genius game company CEO. The first episode airs on May 25 at 10 p.m. KST.

At MBC’s press conference for its new Wednesday-Thursday drama “Lucky Romance,” lead actors Hwang Jung Eum and Ryu Jun Yeol answered questions about competing for ratings alongside former co-stars Ji Sung and Girl’s Day’s Hyeri.

Hwang Jung Eum previously worked with Ji Sung in “Secret” and “Kill Me, Heal Me.” Meanwhile, Ryu Jun Yeol acted with Hyeri in “Reply 1988.”

Ji Sung and Hyeri are currently appearing in SBS’s “Entertainer” which airs at the same time as “Lucky Romance.”

Ryu Jun Yeol commented, “We have a ‘Reply 1988′ chatroom and we cheer each other on rather than feel competition. A lot of actors are working on dramas and films in that chat room. We give and receive messages of support.”

He continued, “The ‘Reply 1988′ friends are so busy, so they are starting to feel unwell. We worry about each other’s health.”

Furthermore, Hwang Jung Eum said, “I haven’t been able to watch every single episode of ‘Entertainer,’ but I have watched a few and I said, ‘It’s Ji Sung oppa!’ He must be very tired due to filming, I hope he gains energy and continues to do well. Hyeri is so pretty, too. I hope both of them do well.”

Looks like the actors are all about supporting their former co-stars!

Hwang Jung Eum, Ryu Jun Yeol, And More Celebrate Premiere Of “Lucky Romance” With Group Shots On Instagram

Before the first episode of the new MBC drama “Lucky Romance” began airing on May 25 at 10 p.m. KST, some of the cast shared photos on their Instagram accounts to encourage people to tune in!

Right before 10 p.m., Hwang Jung Eum shared a photo of herself with her co-stars out a restaurant enjoying dinner together, including Ryu Jun Yeol, Lee Chung Ah, Jung Sang Hoon, and someone who appears to be Lee Soo Hyukbut is covering his face! She writes as the caption, “If you watch our drama, you’ll have tons of good luck.”

Ryu Jun Yeol also uploaded a photo from their dinner, taken by Jung Sang Hoon, which shows even more of the cast and crew celebrating their big night. He writes as the caption, “This is the moment, like magic,” which is a lyric from the popular musical “Jekyll & Hyde.”

In addition, Lee Soo Hyuk shared a photo before the premiere of their show of the leads all dressed up and looking sharp.

Iam not watched the drama yet, but i already heard good responds that made me so proud of Junyeol...iam so more proud that the PD said as a matter factly yesterday that she want Hwang jeungeum and Ryu Junyeol in the drama , so she send the lovecall to both to their management. thats why we didnt hear about "MBC offer actor A for drama casting blah blah blah and A considering"kind of news. 2 days after HJE confirmed, RJY was confirmed as well.

and the PD also put the rest 1+1 casting deal (though it can happen since there's 5 actress under CJes in this drama..but Junyeol is the PD first choice is clear).

Glad ratings are good the power of Oppa. Loved the first episode he was so hot and that voice it sounds like music....ik girls I'm on to his voice now after em lips but those lips will always be #1.

well, i think for first episode everyone has high expectation because how far the webtoon would be adapted. the one who love the webtoon surely would not miss this. But it's different story than the webtoon. I hope they stil love this drama. i am not very pesimistic though i feel disappointed with Suho character not portrayed the way webtoon character. I prefer he's ordinary office worker and cheapskate. i know the way he portray genius doesnt have a flaw, but it would be funnier and fresh if Suho is cheapskate.

the 2nd one is the actor character. all the actor are REAL actor. noone is idol. i think viewers love this. especially the combo of Deasang winner and new fresh look with the great acting capability RJY with pretty and handsome 2nd lead are attracht viewers.

I hope the writer would still giving us good story for the actor to do the the job. because as good as an actor is, they still need the character to stand out.
