Lee Jun Ki Confesses He Felt the Need to Prove Himself after Criticism of His Pretty Face

On May 20, Elle magazine revealed both a pictorial and interview with Lee Jun Ki, who was recently cast as a vampire in the new MBC drama “The Scholar Who Walks the Night.” In a revealed image, he can be seen haughtily posing on a chair in a sharp, white suit, while a woman crosses her leg over him. The boldness of the picture and the striking contrast between red and white immediately capture viewers’ eyes and add to the sexiness of the photo. lee jun ki 2 In the interview Lee Jun Ki reflects on his life as an actor. He expresses his affection for his upcoming drama, saying, “I was attracted to the script from the beginning because my image is very similar to that of the original character. Whenever I act, I always try to replicate the character from the original work.” He immediately met with the producer revealing his passion for the character while the two drank the night away during their first meeting. Though Lee Jun Ki rose to fame through the movie “King and the Clown,” the actor said, “I received criticism that my face was not good for acting because it could only express a limited amount of roles.  As an actor, I felt that I had to prove myself.” Since then, he starred in many projects such as “Time Between Dog and Wolf” and “Iljimae,” trying his best to express a range of emotions and complete action scenes without a stunt double.
