Weekly K-Pop Music Chart 2015 – March Week 2

It was a three way battle for the top spot this week. Two-week champion 4Minute, with "Crazy," battled two new top 10 entries, both male groups. VIXX scores their first ever No. 1 song on our chart with “Love Equation,” moving up from No. 15 last week. VIXX had a shared No. 1 song “Winter Confession” with their labelmates at the beginning of last year, but “Love Equation” is truly the first time they top our chart. This song is the title track from VIXX’s mini-album “Boys Record.” It has a unique blend of a trendy synth sound and exciting variable beats. Member Ravi took part in writing the lyrics and the rap. “Love Equation” swept all the music show rankings last week and it is no surprise to find it on top of our chart as well. Congratulations to VIXX! Moving down one spot to No. 2 is 4Minute’s “Crazy.” This song narrowly lost out to “Love Equation” by two points. It is still going strong on many charts. Not far behind the top two is the second and last new entries to the top 10 this week. Ageless wonder male group Shinhwa has their latest hit “Sniper” moves up 17 spots to No. 3. This song is the title track of Shinhwa’s 12th album “We.” It is an electronic dance song with powerful beats. The lyrics are about a man who has his eye set on a woman he is attracted to, like a sniper. Shinhwa hasn’t hit No. 1 on our chart in nine years (last time was “Once In A Lifetime” in 2006), and this song may be their best chance, as it will challenge for the top spot next week.
