Song Kang Ho and Shim Eun Kyung Take Home Best Actor Awards at Buil Film Awards

On October 3, the 23rd Buil Film Awards were held at the Haeundae Grand Hotel in Busan, also the second day of the 19th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF).

At the ceremony, director Kim Han Min’s record-breaking film “Roaring Currents” was awarded ‘best film.’

The best actor and actress awards went to Song Kang Ho for his amazing performance of Song Woo Seok in “The Attorney,” loosely based on the true story of former Korean president Roh Moo Hyun, and Shim Eun Kyung for her hilarious portrayal of Oh Doo Ri, a foul-mouthed grandma turned twenty-years-old in “Miss Granny.” “The Attorney” also saw Kwak Do Won and Kim Young Ae awarded for the best supporting characters.

The rookie actor awards went to Lee Joo Seung of “Shuttlecock” and Im Ji Yeon from “Human Addiction.”
