Actor Kang Ji Hwan has quietly returned to Korea after getting caught up in a bit of a scandal when a female in the Philippines uploaded photos of her on the same bed as actor Kang Ji Hwan, with the caption, “..together sleep with Korean actor mr. –” on her Facebook page. Following the incident, the actor's agency put out an explanation to clear up the situation, and the female has also issued an apology.

It is said that the actor returned home as quickly as possible, within half a day since the unexpected news broke out yesterday. Kang Ji Hwan stepped foot in Incheon Airport on July 12 at 6:30 AM, after getting on the earliest flight back from Cebu.

Conscious of the eyes around him, the actor came back from the Philippines in secret. Kang Ji Hwan’s agency had originally announced that he would be returning from a magazine photo shoot on July 13, but it is assumed that he moved up his scheduled activities following the incident.

It has been reported to Dispatch by a local tourist in Cebu who saw the actor that, “[Kang Ji Hwan] had his hat pulled down and moved quickly. He was quite conscious of his surroundings.” It also appears that he did the same when he arrived in Korea, with one bystander explaining, “As soon as the plane landed, he was the first one out of the airport. He seemed troubled and appeared gaunt.”
