miss A’s Suzy and 2PM’s Junho Donate 80 Million Won in Total for Sewol Ferry Relief Effort

JYP Entertainment’s artists Suzy (miss A) and Junho (2PM) join a long list of celebrities who have donated to help support the victims and their families of the Sewol ferry tragedy.

It’s been belatedly reported that Suzy quietly donated 50 million won (about 50 thousand USD) on April 22, which went to Community Chest of Korea. JYP Entertainment revealed that they were unaware of her kind gesture.

Labelmate Junho later donated 30 million won (about 30 thousand USD) on April 25 to Korea Disaster Relief Association. A representative stated, “Junho sent his donation with the message, ‘It’s just a little bit, but I wanted to help out.’” It was also revealed that no one else besides his family knew of his donation and he personally contacted the organization.
