Actor Woo Bong Shik Found Dead in Apartment

Actor Woo Bong Shik has been found dead in his home on March 9. He was 41 years old.

Woo Bong Shik was most known for his role on the 2007 KBS historical drama "Dae Jo Young."

DongA Ilbo reported that Woo Bong Shik was found at his rented apartment in Gaepo-dong of the Gangnam District on March 9 at around 8 PM.

The Seoul Investigation Unit commented, "Woo's friend asked the landlord to open the door. The landlord's daughter discovered the dead Woo Bong Shik."

According to reports, Woo Bong Shik was receiving psychological treatment starting from a few years ago and also was taking medication. In order to make a living, he took day-to-day laboring jobs as he did not act for a while.

Woo Bong Shik debuted in the 1983 MBC drama "3840 Guerilla Unit." He was also in the films "Diary of June," "Siren," "Plastic Tree," and "Fly High." His last project was KBS' "Dae Jo Young" where he played the role of "Palbo" in 2007.
