Recently, BEAST delivered messages of encouragement to students being treated for respiratory illnesses.

On February 19, the group visited Gangnam’s Severance Hospital to meet the students called ‘Korea’s Hawking.’ The term, coined after genius Stephen Hawking, described the students as having persevered in their academics despite their disabilities. BEAST’s Yang Yoseob, Jang Hyun Seung, Lee Ki Kwang, and Yong Jun Hyung conversed with the student after delivering presents congratulating the students’ hard works.

The students who were receiving respiratory rehabilitation treatments were battling different diseases, from various muscle diseases to Lou Gehrig’s disease, making their story even more special. Although confined to wheelchairs due to their illnesses, the students proved that the life threatening diseases could not prevent them from trying their best in their academics. Furthermore, BEAST’s agency, CUBE Entertainment, announced that they would support students with respiratory illnesses through encouragement and financial support.

Thank you BEAST for being great role models to these students!
