Announcing LINE as Soompi’s Official Partner, Becomes Main Sponsor for Soompi Awards 2013

Hi Soompiers! We're very excited to announce that mobile messenger app LINE is joining hands with Soompi to deliver more creative content to our awesome readers. LINE will be the main sponsor for the ninth annual Soompi Awards 2013, where fans from all over the world can support their favorite artists. With this partnership, Soompiers can deliver their votes easily on web and mobile, through Soompi and through Soompi’s official accounts on LINE.

Started in Los Angeles by Korean American (and devoted H.O.T fan) Susan Kang in 1998, Soompi is now the world’s largest and longest-running English online media that provides complete coverage of Korean pop culture. Today, Soompi has sites in five languages (English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Thai), and boasts a dedicated user base in over 160 countries.

Meanwhile, the popular communication app LINE recently achieved a monumental milestone on November 25, gaining 300 million users worldwide including popular artists like G-Dragon, EXO, Lee Min Ho, Lee Kwang Soo and more! Their user base extends to Southeast Asia, Latin America, and Western Europe, and over 90 artists from all over the world have official accounts to increase interactions with fans.

In accordance with Soompi and LINE's growing global dominance, Soompi has opened a total of five official accounts (English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Thai) on LINE in time for Soompi Awards 2013.
