Seo Kang Joon Becomes Daebak, Seol Ah, And Soo Ah’s New Favorite Older Brother (Not Uncle, He Insists)

A new not-uncle will be visiting Daebak, Seol Ah, and Soo Ah this Christmas!

On the upcoming episode of “The Return of Superman,” Seo Kang Joon will be a babysitter for the three little Lee children, of whom he confesses he is a fan. As expected, the twins fall in love with the handsome actor the moment they lay eyes on him.

The new babysitter also introduces himself as an older brother (oppa), rather than an uncle (samchon), as he felt that the latter sounds too distant age-wise, and the former would let him get closer to the children. It’s a sound reason, but it also becomes fodder for laughter when the ever-adorable Daebak starts calling Seo Kang Joon oppa, as opposed to the hyung term used by males.

Stills for the episode have been released, giving viewers a glimpse of how Seo Kang Joon’s babysitting experience will go. An optimistic shot shows Seo Kang Joon rocking Seol Ah to sleep in a baby carrier, while another less optimistic but still very cute one shows the poor man unable to move even a step from all the children dangling off his limbs. But even though he’s sweating buckets, the actor’s smile never disappears.

The episode will be aired on December 25, but in the meantime, you can watch the siblings master swimming and celebrate their father’s Asia Champions League win in a surprise event in the latest episode below!

Recent drama 'Entourage' shares sweet unreleased still cuts of Seo Kang Jun and Sohee

tvN's 'Entourage' came to an end this past weekend, so it looks like the drama is ready to dig out all of their unreleased cuts for fans to really bring it to a wrap!

Seol Ah, Soo Ah, And Daebak Get Up To Mischief, Seo Kang Joon Solves Situation Admirably

The mischievous little Lee siblings are back at it again!

On the January 1 episode of KBS2’s “The Return of Superman,” Seol Ah, Soo Ah, and Daebak decided to create 2017’s sequel to the Great Popped Rice Disaster of 2015 and the Wild Rice Party of 2016.

While their babysitters Seo Kang Joon and Kang Tae Oh were busy preparing lobsters, the two beagle twins smuggled the beanbag sofa into their bedroom, where they proceeded to empty the filling onto the floor. They were quickly joined by Daebak just minutes later.

Seol Ah then decided to invite Seo Kang Joon to join in the fun, but the actor predictably froze upon seeing the mess. However, he merely said in a gentle tone, “[You guys] shouldn’t do this, your dad will get angry.”

The children’s initial response was, “No [he won’t get angry],” but as Seo Kang Joon started cleaning up, they realized their mistake and offered to clean up too. After both beanbag and floor were returned to normal, he gently lectured the children, saying, “Who did it? Can you do this? Are you going to do it again in future?”

 

The siblings meekly replied, “No,” to which Seo Kang Joon said, “It’s fine if you won’t do it again.”

In the interview with the production team, the actor explained his reaction, saying, “[When I saw the mess] I was shocked and wondered how I should react. If I showed my shock the children might get shocked too, so I feigned indifference.”

He also told Kang Tae Oh later that he “had no idea childcare was so tiring.”

I must admit I would be one of those who gets angry with the children. Even knowing his personality it still baffles me how he can stay so calm. At the beginning he was a bit awkward, but later on he warmed up to the new situation... Kangjun is such an awesome babysitter. I'm so proud of him. It makes me love him even more.
