What is in your makeup pouch?

Hi, I was just wondering, what are the essential makeup tools, products etc etc...

For me, I have a foundation, compact powder, eye shadow and lip gloss. What colors(tone) are the best for asian skin? I see so many people with really beautifully applied makeup but I do not really know what works and what doesn't... please share your makeup tips. tq

Thanks for the feedback everyone...I see that eyeliners are quite essential? However, I have fear of applying eyeliners (don't really know how) I have read in the Bobby Brown website that applying liner on the upper eye-lid (just above the eyelash) helps as well? Any good tips of applying eye liners?

Tyra Banks did a 5 minute makeup routine on her show. Here's my 5 minute makeup routine. Feel free to post yours too!

Step 1

Start with clean skin that has already been moisturized. Dot concealer under eyes and around nose. Blend. Time needed: 1 minute

Step 2

Brush your eyebrows upwards and fill in any sparse areas with a pencil/eyebrow powder. Time needed: 1 minute

Step 3

Line your eyes. Time needed: 30 seconds

Step 4

Curl your lashes and apply 2-3 coats of mascara. Time needed: 1 minute

Step 5

Apply blush onto your apples and highlight your t-zone. Time needed: 1 minute

Step 6

Apply your favorite lip gloss. Time needed: 30 seconds

- EYELINER (absolute cannot live without, take it away from me and my life is over)

- liquid foundation

- bronzer

- eyeshadow

i actually never wear makeup because i have a habit of rubbing my eyes and when i have eyeliner or mascara on, it smudges and i look like a raccoon

but! i do have a makeup bag with all my lotions and stuff for home.

i have aloe vera, murad toner, murad moisturizer and bare minerals

hmm i dont put on much makeup, i hardly ever use eyeshadow unless its a really special occasion.

eyeliner, eyeshadow, lipgloss/lipstick, mascara, eyelash curler, tweezer, q-tips, blush.

greens, blues, purples, and bronze colors for eyeshadows are good(probably more colors than i listed). you just have to find the right color for yourself(lighter or darker). it's better to look around at a makeup store and see how the eyeshadow looks on you. when i pick something it's usually something i feel i like right away by itself or something i can use to blend with other eyeshadow colors. hope i helped. that makeupforlife site suggest things for you to do, so don't totally follow everything. i don't totally agree with it sometimes like the things she says about certain products. so you have to see for yourself . but her suggestions are still very good so you i agree you should take a look.

i think when you're young, the healthy glow to your skin automatically creates that fresh look, so it's not really necessary to put on any powder / foundation. just a little eye shadow, blush and a little bit of lip gloss from time to time will go a long way.

*whenever i'm too lazy to apply eye shadows when i go out. i just use this. just a little bit across the crease, it insantly plumbs up your eyes. and just $3.29!
