Brief summary on the news about Absolute Boyfriend promotion in Danshui:

Ku Hye Sun, Jiro Wang & Penny Xie went to Danshui today for Absolute Boyfriend promotion and charity event. They played some childhood games include billiard (shooting at water-filled balloon), catch the fish (use paper filter), slam dunk etc. There were fans from Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Korea following them. Ku wears 15cm high heels and declines to change into flats even her feet are painful.

They traveled to Danshui by MRT and this is the first time for Ku Hye Sun to visit there. She said she always wants to ride on MRT and finally she has got the chance. She like the beautiful scene at Danshui and wants to try every snacks there. Ku said she would like to bring her parents to visit Danshui next time.

The casts play games with fans. The first one was billiard game, in which Ku hits 3 targets (breaking the water-filled balloon) while Jiro only hits 1 in 11 shots and Penny got none in 10 shots. Penny recommends preserved eggs & plum juice to Ku, and Jiro recommends the Blue Road, which is romantic and a good place for marriage proposal.

In slam dunk game Penny wins with 60 points in 1 minute. Jiro only scores 26points, even lower than Ku who gets 26. Jiro says it’s because his shirt is too tight. Last game is catch the fish, which Jiro says he’s very good at it. He talks to the fishes when he’s catching them and even asks fans not to make noise that annoy the fishes. Penny gives one fish to Ku as she has not caught one. Jiro is happy to have caught 6 fishes, he even says he would catch fish naked if rating exceed 6%.

 They spent 2 hours to finish the short Old Street in Danshui. Ku Hye Sun tries all the snacks (suger-coated plum, bbq sausage, bbq corn, plum juice, etc.) en route. The whole team even has to go back so as to buy sugar-coated plum for Ku. Since Ku wears high heels, staff has to escort her uphill to go to the restaurant.

Meow, you are AWESOME! Thank you is not enough for all your efforts in bringing us the latest photos, updates and translations. The promotions were great and fun. I watched episode 1 through the link you gave us. What an enjoyable hour! Hye Sun is so funny. She is really good at that role and that style. I love it. Also love the first outfit she wore- the one with the salmon colour jumper with the frilly mini skirt. I did not even have to have subs to know what was going in. I am so glad this style is different from the Japanese version.I hope people do not compare it to the japanese version. I remember the constant comparisons with the the different versions of BOF. That is the problem with remakes. I do wonder if this comedic style will appeal to a wide audience. Does anyone know what the Taiwanese viewers and Singaporean viewers are saying about the drama?

I am so excited about her Taiwan drama. Finally a drama I don't need to watch reading subs if the audio is clear. I was hoping she will pair up with Taiwan star, Wu Chun. But it was said he was replaced by Jiro Wang. I will still watch it regardless of the main lead. The storyline sounds interesting. I hope it is good.

This was soooo funny!

GHS has really great timing! This is so hilarious to watch! It's so animated. I feel like im watching 3D anime. LOL.

Favorite Scenes:

- Xiao Fei on the floor after the rejection. HS's facial expression just crack me up!

- Xiao Fei picking on Penny Xie. I love how she beats him up! Poor poor guy! ahehehe! Im beginning to like him too especially since he brings her food everyday! teehee! 

- Her watching all those couples in the park while thinking of her failed attempts at love looks like a very funny scene. Can't wait for subs.

- I LOVE her reaction when she realizes the robot is NAKED! Ahahahahahah! Priceless!

- The scene when Nightly wakes up and is copying her every move is priceless too. AHAHAHAHAH

- Looks like it's staying true to the Manga! LOL. This Nightly was definitely designed for "Night stuff" And of course how he detects her emotions with his ring.

HS fits this role to a tee! Even if her voice is dubbed her lip movements and reactions are spot on! Plus HS is so prim and proper in real life that it's so funny watching her let her guard down with this character.

Plus...how awesome is it that they have around 12 mins of behind the scene footage! :D

i watched AD or AB's first epi today thanks to meow and really enjoyed it. it's very comical to watch, HS's acting is spot on and the story pace is fast. will be looking forward to epi 2.

Sue I think the youtube links arent working anymore but I think Viki can be accessed now since I also used to have issues connecting to it before for PCAP so i work around it via a proxy address. But I have no issues connecting to AB  http://en.viki.com/channels/1892-absolute-darling/videos/66028/1  Try having the DC members try it. English subs are still 50%. Actually even without the subs you can indeed follow the story line. lol

Ok it seems that not all parts are segmented...so some patience is needed until the viki fans fix it up.

They should at least have korean subtitles though for this show since their main star is korean. Odd! hehe

BTW thank you Meow for the fan pics and more info from the charity event. I love love love her dress I like it better that what she wore to the press conferences. im so happy she had so much fun and got to do touristy stuff and enjoy the market. Looks like a fan gave her a nice drawing too.I wonder if she's back in korea now since its a brand new school week.
