Chapter 5 of the SQ novel by mookie, the romantic poet.

SQ Ep 4 (spoiler alert !!)

This is officially DG's payback time. His insults are still searing Miss Bora. She took him to Choong-Shik's shoe department with the sole purpose of humiliating him in front of his friend. DG stayed stoic and calm. Nothing can hurt him now. He wont take the shoes. Oddly he's grateful for having this job, the $30 million for mom is way more important than his tiny ego.

She escalated her insults in the elevator, openly spurning theories of why he needed the cash. Debts, loansharks, gambling, you named it, she said it in front of the audience in the lift. DG still calm, started fuming when she talked down on his relationship with YR. Yes, they are in a make believe oppa-dongseng

relationship. But hearing SR's name from Bora's mouth burnt a new ache in his heart. He is determined to stay professional, and freeze up his annoyance, he's only her chauffeur, nothing more.

Nothing more...Bora was oddly hurt again by this stranger. She took the car and hit it against the curb, trying to get DG fired. She doesnt need just another chauffeur.

CS was worried about DG. How much can this guy endure? He will do whatever he can to get the money so he can rid DG from any further insults. DG is grateful, grateful for a dear friend, grateful for the opportunity to get the money even if it's working under Bora. No one is giving him much second chances these years. CS is relieved now, at least DG's mending things with his mom. DG didn't say anything about his hurtful meeting. He gave her the money but she just asked him to leave. No heartwarming concern, no familiar daikon kimchi, only chilly nonchalant daggers of words.

Bora is now officially enraged with Dr. Seo Gun-Wu. He lied about how well they are getting along to Dr. Jang. Her dad asked for a meeting with him now! She has to get him off her back asap. But instead of backing off, GW persisted in his advances, asking her to officially date him. Bora remembered the guy in her heart. He's abandoned her but she can use him now, She told GW her true love is getting an MBA at Harvard, she'll introduce when he's back.

President Kim is still uneasy. He frankly hinted to DG he's not just Bora's chauffeur, he trusted him to protect her as a bodyguard. He's also amused by DG, he's unknowingly proved his wit again in his Go trap.

DG's new responsibility is even harder. He has to deter Bora fr going to her parties, fashion shows and stores. He is driving her to school today. Bora hated DG's indifference. She dashed out of the moving car into speeding traffic mindlessly. DG took a slap from her, he wanted to force her back into the car when she kicked his leg and escaped.

SR is shocking the boxers with her new looks--dress, mascara, makeup. The guys cant help but tease her this is the first time they saw a guy in that. SR is desperate to do something, anything to change DG's heart.

TW's mom found the boxing school at last. She asked SR about TW just when the owner arrived. He swifty hushed off his daughter and invited Tw's mom in. Tw's mom was hurt and in hopeless despair after the meeting. He's DG now, her TW is gone forever, and a boxer?! My TW is a math genuis, never a boxer!

DG found Bora at last, but why is she with that jerk?! She even assertively asked him to take her to some fun places. DG took care of the buds in no time. When he's at the parking lot, the jerk was forcing Bora into his car. He could not bare Bora getting hurt, not even for 1 more second. He dodged his attack with an effortless cool. Bora looked on, she's saved by him again.

Bora was still shaken to her core when DG was lecturing her. He told her she's not bad looking but with very poor judgement. He asked her if she really hated him so much that she'll do sth like running away with the scum just to be rid of him. He said he'll quit. Bora just wanted him to care for her from the bottom of his heart, not for the filthy money. They parted without a word that night.

DG got a called from his sifu. A boxer was hurt fr a head injury. The doctor just rashly call it off as a nosebleed. TW saw the discomfort he's in, the nosebleed was not stopping and it's diluted. It must be basal skull fracture. He confronted the doctor, but he scoofed it off...his colleague though was alarmed. He ensured he'll carefully look into it. He is Dr. Seo Gun-Wu.

DG was determined to quit his job in the morning. He has already told his sifu last nite. Bora had a restless nite. She is forever grateful still to that stranger who has planted a hope of happiness in her. He has planted himself in her heart now and she can't let him go. She put on her chilly mask and made him stay. DG was charmed by her act. She looks like her dad when she's trying too hard to be stern.

That's not the only thing that is amusing to DG. He's driven Bora to school the very first time. He wandered around the campus while Bora was in class. Memories flooded back, Jk and school life has long bidded him farewell.

Bora was stuck at the library with dull math problems. She called Dr. Seo for help. He calculatedly cut her off pretending to be busy with surgery. Bora grumbled when DG grabbed her reference books. A bored Bora cant help being curious and asked DG why he needed the money. 'So it's for your bloodsucking mom!' Bora yelped. DG exploded. Bora opened up to him about her mom abandoning her. She has to cut it short before she told him too much. While helping Bora, DG bumped into the math dissertation from 1994. Totally immersed and savoring every formulae entering his sight, his world became as simple as can be. The math genius with his sustenance. Bora is mesmerized. She sat there looking at this stranger in his distant world of math after she hastily did her report. She told DG to hand it in for her and wandered off without knowing GW was waiting for her.

GW was insisting on dinner with Bora when DG caught him, twisting his shoulder coercing him to get lost just when he realized this is the Doc. GW was shocked, he thought this brilliant stranger must be a med student, but he's Bora's chauffeur, even more shocking he was a boxer. He got his dinner date before he can apologize for the mistake his colleague made. Bora is urgin him on now, gosh! How can sucha pretty girl be so impatient? The date was a one yo birthday party. He paid a good amount for the gift. With all the food at the buffet this should be a great date. Bora found out DG's knowledge on BSF. DG is getting more and more amusing.

President Kim is finding DG more and more amusing too. He tried to probe his goals and ambitions in life, knowing he's more than a boxer. He respected DG's privacy though when he sensed his withdrawal.

Incheon!! Roadrage is unacceptable, and driving her all the way to Incheon!! let alone when Miss Bora was pouring her hearts out. He's creeping back to her heart. She has buried him in the depths. Oppa!... she has been waiting for him for so long. Where will he be now and what will he be doing?

SR wanted DG to bury what he said to her in the depths of his heart too. This is the first time he's seen her in her new do. She thought that easing out the old SR from his heart can make way to the new her.She'll greedily take any form of love fr DG, even his love for her as a dongseng.

Bora is in a dilemma again. Presentation for her math induction? The professor must be kidding. But wait this was not her handwriting. It must be DG's handiwork. DG is a mesmerizing puzzle to Bora. He can almost con as a med student yet he barely finished highschool; his english is good and math is just ingenius! DG tried his very best to ease her suspicions. BSF can be easily blurred as an common athlete's knowledge; copying from the dissertation she saw him reading can be an explanation to her report; english is picked up from some odd job with CS. Adding a seemingly carefree laugh and shrugging it off with a joke of him as a spy should seal her doubts, TW thought.

But no, Bora made him dig out the dissertation, he carried on his act the best he can till he saw that book. That familiar cover - Snow Queen. Bora caught him again in his world, this time Lapland. How did he know about this? He told her he knew it from a little girl he ran away from home with while he's in senior high. She believed her mom is in Lapland. The palace of the Snow Queen is in Lapland. All year round it is a sparking white winter wonderland. There is no freedom or happiness. That girl told me so.

Lap-Land...There lives the snow Queen, he read. Bora numbed by his words, no those are her own words long ago, when she was that 14 yr old girl.
