Like a good bottle of aged wine, she is full of flavor and of distinctive character.whether she's with children or elders, she naturally extends her warmth to the people around her. I believe in the GOP trip, her care towards the gramps would be shown quite clearly. There's no 'act' to it because she is just being herself - Choi Ji Woo.Through this trip I believe she has also made some self discovery on herself. Some of the photos shows her taking selfies with the gramps. Last I remembered, it seems at one time she was shy about taking selfies. But with this trip, she has changed. I lauded her change. Choi joins Grandpas Over Flowers

SEOUL - Actress Choi Ji Woo of Winter Sonata fame has joined the all-male cast of hit South Korean reality travel show Grandpas Over Flowers' new season.
The actress offers a helping hand to actor-turned-travel guide Lee Seo Jin in the reality show, which returns for a third season tomorrow in South Korea with mesmerising Greek scenery.
A first-generation hallyu celebrity, Choi acted alongside actor Bae Yong Joon in the 2002 hit drama series Winter Sonata.
"Choi has two strengths. One is (her) superb cooking skills. The other is her affability," Lee said at a press conference in Seoul on Tuesday.
"Throughout the trip, she has been (the) life of the party. She knows how to please senior cast members."
Directed by Na Young Seok - behind hits like 2 Days & 1 Night, as well as Three Meals A Day - tvN's Grandpas Over Flowers features four actors in their 70s: Lee Soon Jae, Shin Gu, Park Geun Hyung and Baek Il Seop.
Accompanied by Lee Seo Jin as their travel guide, driver, cook and personal assistant, the four go on a backpacking trip around the world.
For the third season, they travel to Greece.
"I chose Choi because I think she is a very hard-working individual. Her job on the show was to take care of senior actors.
"If the viewer checks out the show, (he) will find that she nailed her job," said Na.
Choi has appeared in the director's previous shows, most recently on Three Meals A Day, which also stars Lee Seo Jin.
The Grandpas Over Flowers franchise has been a smash hit in South Korea.
The previous season featuring Spain racked up the highest viewership ratings for the time slot among shows on both terrestrial and cable TV networks, according to media research firm Nielsen Korea.

Korea’s 4 favorite ‘Grandpas’ return

The four famous grandpas - Lee Soon-jae, Shin Goo, Park Geun-hyeong and Baek Il-sub - have reunited to take on another travel mission. This time they are off to Greece, newly joined by Korean Wave pioneer Choi Ji-woo and their usual luggage carrier, Lee Seo-jin.
In the fourth edition of tvN’s reality show “Grandpas Over Flowers,” produced by Na Young-seok, the six members took off on a 10-day journey to the Mediterranean country, stopping by Dubai along the way. 
“The most important thing in selecting our next destination is what the grandpas want,” said Na during a press conference on Tuesday in Yeouido, western Seoul. 
“We gather around once or twice a year to have dinner, and every time I asked, the grandpas said they wanted to go to either Greece or Cuba,” he explained. “Greece was a more suitable choice considering the location and weather.” 
When Lee Seo-jin was asked about what it was like to travel with Choi, he said she has two sets of skills he doesn’t have that came in handy.
“I am not an affectionate kind of a guy, so if it weren’t for Choi the five of us guys would’ve just sat around in the desert looking at the sunset without saying anything,” said the 44-year-old actor. “But Choi really perked up the ambience a lot, and that was a big relief for a change.” 
Actress Choi was reportedly picked by Na because she had great chemistry with Lee Seo-jin when she appeared as a guest in Na’s show “Three Meals A Day.”
It surprised the public when she showed up at the airport without any prior notice to the media last month ahead of the cast’s departure to Greece. 
“The exhausting stuff was all done by Lee. I was just a mood maker,” said Choi. 
The two younger members of the show seemed to have gotten along fine on everything except for money management. 
“Everything was perfect with Choi, except that she kept forgetting that we were on a backpacking trip, not a private trip. She started to spend too much,” Lee said with a laugh. 
Choi instantly shot back, saying she was just “asking for the allowance that was allotted to her.” The 40-year-old actress jokingly asked the viewers to judge whether she was splurging or not. 
The eldest grandpa, Lee Soon-jae, 79, said he was surprised at how prepared Choi was. 
“She had studied the language and had done a lot of research about our trip,” he said. “She was very good at homemaking, too. I wish I had a daughter-in-law like her.” 
This is the fourth trip for the senior actors - with Baek, 70, being the youngest - to team up. The first trip took place in 2013 when the buddies and Lee went to France and Switzerland. 
However, the frankness of the four, who sometimes express themselves through grumbles while other times showing genuine appreciation during their experiences, soon made the show immensely popular. 
Its success led to a second trip to Taiwan the same year and to Spain last year
“We’ve been to four different destinations, but we are practically showing the same thing,” said Na. “There is nothing extraordinary about us traveling. But I think the viewers keep supporting us because we are showing something that is very ordinary. 
He added that he hopes the viewers will perceive the show as if it is a short drama series that comes back every year. 
“We put a lot of effort into it,” Na said, “but I hope the viewers will watch it with a very relaxed mind.” 
The first episode airs on Friday at 9:45 p.m. through cable channel tvN.

I wanna hear how she says in her voice!3- Just what else has she prepared for this trip other than learning language?4- did she manage to wrangle her portion of travel fare from hard fisted Seojinnie?5- just what other mischief will PD Na creates in this trip?

Two Things To Look For In ‘Grandpas Over Flowers’

Follow the journey of the ‘flower grandpas,’ H4 Lee Soon Jae, Shin Goo, Park Geun Hyung, and Baek Il Seob along with the ‘nation’s porter’ Lee Seo Jin and ‘rookie porter’ Choi Ji Woo in the first episode of ‘Grandpa Over Flowers Greece Edition.’
This show is directed by the same producer as ‘Sisters Over Flowers,’ ‘Youth Over Flowers,’ and ‘Three Meals A Day,’ Na Young Seok. There is a lot of anticipation for this edition of the show. In order to enjoy the first episode, the producers have given two major points to look out for.

◆ Lee Seo Jin X Choi Ji Woo! Lovey dovey, bickering couple chemistry?
In this ‘Greece Edition,’ the biggest change is the addition of new porter, Choi Ji Woo. Surprising everyone with her appearance at the airport, just her entrance made a huge issue. Moreover, she showed great teamwork with Lee Seo Jin in ‘Three Meals A Day’ when she was on as a guest.
In the preview for the show, Lee Seo Jin is seen saying, “Don’t overspend” to Choi Ji Woo, causing curiosity. Like the producer’s words, “From far away they look lovey-dovey but close up, they bicker,” the two people’s relationship is like Tom and Jerry. Particularly, this first episode plans to show the two people’s awkward teamwork and chemistry.

◆ Nervous first meeting and first schedule in Dubai!
For this edition of ‘Grandpas Over Flowers,’ the four senior actors enjoyed the trip in their own style. The H4 enjoyed the new dessert city of Dubai and the land of myths, Greece, in the H4’s leisurely rhythm. Along with the adventure is the romantic scenery that will greet the audience, displaying another kind of flavor to the trip.
The first broadcast will answer the questions everyone has from Choi Ji Woo’s casting to the trip preparation of H4 and Lee Seo Jin, Choi Ji Woo’s surprise appearance, and the combination of everyone on this trip. Additionally, the cast will visit the tallest man-made structure, Burj Khalifa, in Dubai.

Choi Ji Woo Wins Approval From 'The 'Grandpas Over Flowers'

The "Grandpas Over Flowers" stars Lee Soon Jae, Shin Goo, Park Geun Hyung and Baek Il Sub are off to explore a new country. Accompanied by Hallyu star Choi Ji Woo and their usual baggage carrier, actor Lee Seo Jin, the grandpas will travel to Greece via Dubai.
It's the fourth edition of the tvN reality show and the grandpas show no signs of slowing down. They've been to France, Switzerland, Taiwan and Spain.
Choi Ji Woo, the star of "The Suspicious Housekeeper" and "Temptation," was chosen as this season's celebrity guest because she worked well with Lee Seo Jin on the reality show "Three Meals A Day."
Lee Seo Jin, who appeared in the weekend drama "Wonderful Days" and appears in the film "Love Forecast," said that Choi brought some much-needed skills to "Grandpas Over Flowers."
"I'm not an affectionate kind of guy, so if it weren't for Choi the five of us guys would've just sat around the desert looking at the sunset without saying anything," said Lee at the press conference for the show. "But Choi really perked up the ambiance and that was a relief."
Choi agreed and described herself as the "mood maker."
The oldest grandfather in the group, Lee Sung Jae, 79, said he was surprised at how much helpful research Choi did before the trip.
"Since we have Choi Ji Woo, we didn't proceed rashly," said Lee Sung Jae. "She studied a lot of languages and did a lot of research surprising us once again."
Choi took good care of the actors in her charge. She impressed them with her cooking skills."I wish I had a daughter-in-law like that," said Lee Sung Jae.
And since he has come to think of Lee Seo Jin as being like a son, he wanted to match them up. He was anticipating what might happen on the show.
"I hope the two end up together," he said.
The show's producer Na Young Suk was pleased with Choi Ji Woo's contributions.
"I chose Choi because I think she is a very hard-working individual. Her job on the show was to take care of senior actors. If the viewer checks out the show, they will find that she nailed her job."
The first installment of "Grandpas Over Flowers" became a surprise hit, earning the highest ratings for a Korean cable program and inspiring a few spin-offs. The name of the show is a joke based on the famous k-drama hit "Boys Over Flowers," which starred Lee Min Ho, Kim Hyun Joong, Kim Bum and Kim Joon as four friends attending a private school.
An American adaptation of the variety show is in the works.
