Oh man oh man, thanks for this thread.My Bloody Valentine and New Order make my heart melt.  I'm not the most well versed in shoegaze but my tastes are kind of refined to that particular fandom.
The Smashing Pumpkins

Daydream the Pumpkins were big fans of MBV and these are some shoegazy-esque songs by them.  Actually, Billy Corgan even said that Daydream he was basically ripping off MBV with that song.  
And I was going to post Jesus and the Mary Chain but I saw you already beat me to it!
