jenny
So, I'm trying to buy my boyfriend a drum pad as a gift but I can't remember which drum pad it was he had his eye on. It cost about $650ish / close to $700 I think. I've searched google multiple times and most of the brands that come up are Alesis, Akai, and Yamaha. Now, maybe the one he wants isn't the best but I was wondering if any of you guys out there knew more about this type of equipment? He's trying to produce beats, so it would help immensely. By the way, here is a picture of the type of drum pad I'm talking about: thanks so much for your help *I hope this is where this topic goes! -Jenny
RiderKamen
If he wants a drum pad (a controller to be exact) then I suggest a MPD so something like a Akai MPD-32 USB Midi Drum Pad Controller which is pretty good If he's looking for more of a independent hardware Then I suggest a MPC like a MPC 1000 overall, do you research so you can be sure you're getting quality for less money. On top of that, Akai is pretty much the top of the line.
jenny
^thanks so much! I just wanted to know another person's opinion. In the research I've done, Akai is pretty much the best as well from what everyone says but I just wanted to be absolutely sure. Thanks again!
