Why did Lee Jung Jin decide to leave KBS’s “Happy Sunday—Qualifying Men” all of a sudden?

Lee Jung Jin participated in his last filming for “Qualifying Men” on the 19th. The actor has been continuously discussing about leaving the program for quite some time but had to delay his departure due to the ongoing long missions, inevitable departure of fellow cast member, and the production crew’s persistent opposition.

However, Lee Jung Jin decided now was the time to leave since there’s a high possibility that he might affect the other long missions, and also because the program recovered its pace as a new member—Yang Joon Hyuk—has recently joined the cast. On the 25th, the actor stated through his agency “My decision to join was a difficult one and even now it’s a very difficult decision for me. to leave. I learned so many invaluable lessons from carrying out various missions for over two years in ‘Qualifying Men' that I wouldn't have been able to learn elsewhere.”

He continued, “However, as I was part of the ‘Qualifying Men’ crew with awesome fellow cast members and a great production crew, I personally felt that there were things that I needed to improve on and regretted. Since I know my weakness, I felt that it was time to go back to my original area of specialty as an actor. I’m worried and sad about my current decision but I hope everyone understand that it was a difficult decision for me to make as the actor Lee Jung Jin.”

Lastly, he expressed his gratitude by stating “I’m truly thankful for my fellow cast mates Lee Kyung Kyu, Kim Gook Jin, Kim Tae Won, Lee Youn Suk, Yoon Hyung Bin, and lastly Kim Sung Min who must be having a hard time.”

Meanwhile, Lee Jung Jin will be replaced by new member Jeon Hyun Moo who is a KBS announcer.

I can't believe Jungjin quit! T__T Well I know he never talked much but it's just sad to see members of Happy Sunday, both 1N2D and this, keep changing. I'm not saying Hyeonmu won't do a good job but.. it's just sad.

Sad to know Jung Jin left the show but two years was a long commitment especially in variety program. But I am glad the the latest addition of new members are not idols. They crew are brave enough to cast sportsman and announcer to be part of the show.

Lee Jung Jin steps off ‘Qualifications of Men’ with tears and parting gifts

On May 8th, actor Lee Jung Jin bowed out of KBS’s variety program ‘Qualifications of Men’ due to his various drama and movie commitments.

To commemorate his withdrawl, he presented the members with gifts. Kim Guk Jin received couple tees, while Lee Gyung Kyu got a sweater and a photo album. Lee Gyung Kyu couldn’t help but shed a few tears once he received the gifts, and he sheepishly confessed, “I decided I wasn’t going to cry anymore”.

The castmates in turn prepared some gifts for Lee Jung Jin. Lee Yoon Suk gave him a heat-preserving water bottle, Yang Jun Hyuk a signed ball, Kim Guk Jin presented him with a gas gift card, and Kim Tae Won handed over a rosary.

Afterwards, Lee Jung Jin shared hugs with the members, saying, “I have nothing else to say but thank you, and I’m sorry.”

Meanwhile, the empty spot left behind by Lee Jung Jin will be filled by KBS announcer Jun Hyun Moo.

aww :(

I actually first started watching QoM because of LJJ (yes, I'm shallow) haha but came to appreciate the show as a whole.

Honestly, he wasnt on much but he had brilliant moments and had carved out a "role" for himself. I think it's a void no one can really fill now.

While I dont quite believe the public excuse, I hope it is true.

I'll miss him on the show but it's great that he's getting a jump (re)start on his career. Cant wait to see him in more roles! Then, possibly, he'll move past the phase of being recognized as "That guy from That Kwan Sang-Woo movie" to "Hey! It's LJJ!!".

That said, Looking forward to Jeon Hyeon Mu. Some people think he's annoying but I think when he doesnt play it up and has his calm sort of sarcastic humor, he shines. I want to see how he fits into the cast!

Pledis denies that After School plagiarized their tap dance routine

tn_1304558402_741157160_0.jpg

After School’s tap dance routine for “Let’s Step Up” recently raised some allegations of plagiarism, as some claim that it was ripped from the tap dance special on KBS 2TV’s ”Qualifications of Men.” Pledis Entertainment, however, has stepped forward and denied the claims.

On May 5th, the agency released a press report that stated, “We’ve been preparing the performance for ‘Let’s Step Up’ since November of last year. It took us a longer time to prepare, and coincidentally, ‘Qualification of Men’ came out with their tap dance special first. We did not jump on the bandwagon of the popularity their special received.”

They continued, “We hoped to present a stage that showed After School’s unique color.”

“Qualification of Men” broadcasted their tap dance special back in February. After discovering that After School’s tap dance trainer, Lee Jung Kwon, was the same trainer for “Qualification of Men”, speculations had grown stronger.
