New Oricon Counting Method

Starting today, March 4, 2009, the Oricon charts have changed their method of counting singles and albums. Number of units sold would no longer be needed to be multiplied by the constant multiplier (1.75). From now on, actual sale numbers would be posted as they really are and would be updated as frequently as possible in the Oricon website.

This seems to be a good move by Oricon because it makes everything more convenient for us fans to no longer compute to actually know how much they sold that day. At least we would actually know how well they did.

"Survivor" In Oricon Ninki-Chart

"NEXT LEVEL" tops the Oricon's "Ninki-Chart" in the launch of the week. In March, "This Is The One" from Utada to score the highest. NINKI is a list that provides a forecast for the interest for new launches. 356 of 400 people said they are interested in buying the albums. Figures from Ninki can be very divergent from the final sales results, so do not have too high expectations.

The NINKI ratings are the results of a poll conducted by Oricon indicating interest in an upcoming release. Although the ratings are never a true reflection of sales, it does give a strong prediction about where the single/album will place in terms of popularity amongst the Japanese public. having said so, they are NOT an indication of how it will perform in terms of chart positioning and total sales for the week.

Cord and Code is pronounced the same way in Japanese. That's why you see it spelled both ways. I prefer Code though. It seems to match the theme of the album.

Five in the Black, for the win. I love love love that concert. That's the only concert I've watched like over 20 times, no lie. I never get tired of it. Vocally, I think they're much better in FTIB than in T. Although, T concert does have AMAZING ballads like Love in the Ice and Kiss. Your choice. If you're more perverted, I think you should get T tour. LMFAO. I swear, the outfits they were are pretty... uhmm.. interesting. Very, interesting. In T tour, Chunnie sounds very... Hrm... bad? Only during dance songs though. Not so much during the ballads. Eh, I don't know. For me, FTIB is the best so far. Heart Mind and Soul (First concert), is wayyyy too small. Like the revenue and all. But if you want to see their first concert, just get it? O__O But that's when their Japanese wasn't that great yet, so they were not really interacting with their fans like what they did in FTIB and T. T, IMO, has MUCH more cuter scenes
