Kim Seung Woo Clarifies Malicious Rumours Surrounding Him

On the 28th Jan, actor Kim Seung Woo was invited as guest in MBC¡¯s variety show, ¡°Golden Fishery¡±, and through the program, he revealed his feelings and thoughts of his 19 years in acting and also debunked rumours surrounding him, including regal rumour, Kim Nam Joo marriage agreement rumour and rumour that his daughter with Kim Nam Joo was not his own.

During the day¡¯s recording, Kim Seung Woo reiterated that all the above three rumours are false. In regards to the marriage agreement rumour with Kim Nam Joo, Kim Seung Woo said: ¡°During my wedding with Kim Nam Joo, reactions from the surroundings were indifferent. Many just can¡¯t fathom why would Kim Nam Joo get married to a divorced man. There was also another rumour saying that Kim Seung Woo¡¯s career path would be protected if he lived with Kim Nam Joo for three years. This sounds like a plot in some novel.¡±

After which, rumours were then gradually shifted to their daughter. Rumour has it that their daughter Noh Hee was not his child, but the child of Kim Nam Joo¡¯s lover. There were also news that their daughter had dark skin and looked like a foreigner, which led to speculations that she is the child of a black man. Unable to hide this anguish, Kim Seung Woo expressed: ¡°I felt that it was really ridiculous to say my daughter¡¯s biological father is a black man. My daughter looks very much like me, with a larger head and nose. Precisely because she looks like me, her skin is darker compared to others. I¡¯m felt really terrible when I hear people saying that she isn¡¯t my child.¡±

To prove his statement, Kim Seung Woo displayed a photo of her daughter stored in his mobile phone during the recording. In fact, Kim Seung Woo was so affected by this that he actually showed this photo during previous interviews whenever he was asked to clarify the rumour about his daughter.

Despite not really having any particular work that truly made him popular, but because of his 19 years in the entertainment circle, some suggested that Kim Seung Woo in reality came from a wealthy family. Kim Seung Woo finds this totally baseless and described his family situation during the show. He said: ¡°Up till the high school, our family of four were still living in a small apartment. I always fticked the ¡°middle¡± option in the student¡¯s family environment form given by the school. Sometimes, in order to eat more Jajangmyeon, I would even purposely let the noodles soak bigger.¡±

In addition, Kim Seung Woo also described his life with his first wife, Lee Mi Yeon and after, his marriage with second wife, Kim Nam Joo.

hanfever's comment - I wasn't really concerned about the other rumours, but the rumour about his daughter not being his own is indeed really malicious. Imagine someone saying that your child isn¡¯t yours. I just hope the person who spread that would get his/her retribution.

Hope this thread will full with all Kim Seung Woo's news and his works.

I like him since watched Hotelier. When everybody being Bae Yong Jun's shipper... me go to this charming guy. His character in hotelier fit him so much.

After that, I start to collect all his drama and movie except of the old old movie and his newest movie with japaness actress one, cannot find it in my country . But from all the drama he's acted, my favourite is Hotelier and Mr. Duke and following with Memories.

Wish his new project IRIS will bring him good appraise and review from all soompiers.

Actress Kim Nam-joo, the epitome of a sophisticated, urban career woman in the 1990s, is enjoying renewed popularity after she returned to TV last month with MBC TV drama "My Wife is a Superwoman." Her last TV appearance was eight years ago in 2001 with the hugely popular TV series "Her House."

"My Wife is a Superwoman" is a comedy drama that depicts the life of housewives who devote their entire lives to their husbands' success. Kim showed a strong attachment to the character she plays with much composure and ease.

"Almost every wife and mother would relate to the character I'm playing. The character is completely different to roles that I used to play, but she's actually like me in real life. Now I am a wife and a mother, and the situation in the drama really fits my actual life," said Kim.

Kim's decision to choose this soap opera was aided by her husband, actor Kim Seung-woo. "Seung-woo read the script first and recommended it to me. It suits me well in many ways, and I think he liked it more because it is a light and funny drama that can make people laugh despite the current recession," said Kim.

"After living as a full-time housewife for several years, I realized that love is the most important thing in marriage, and the most precious thing in the family is the good health of its members," said Kim.

The natural aging process can be lethal to actresses. But Kim says, "It's better now because I don't have to diet constantly like I used to do in my twenties." Kim added that she is happy to be back and is still passionate about acting. Although it is difficult to leave her two children at home in order to come to work, she hopes they will be proud of their working mom in the future.

Similar to many other fans of KSW, I have been supporting him since Hotelier... Everyone like "Hotelier" will remember the cool and decisive General Manager Han Tai Joon. I have also watched a few other of his works such as Mr Duke, Special of My Life, Rosemary, The Perfect Neighbour, Reversal of Fortune, Heaven Soldiers but my favourite is still "Hotelier"....

Oh, I have seen the MV "케이씨엠", he was acting alongside with Kim So Yeon and it was very good too.

Haven't start watching IRIS yet, hope it's good.
