Stars join UNICEF’s birthday donation project for less fortunate children

The Korean committee for UNICEF has started a birthday donation campaign for sponsoring children around the world.

This birthday campaign is one in which a person can have their friends and family give gifts of mosquito nets, insecticides, malnutrition treatment, and measles prevention vaccine, among other things, that will give aid to a child in need on their birthday.

This campaign strives to have a day in which everybody does the meaningful act of helping a child in need.

People can register their birthday on the birthday donation website and choose which gifts they would like to receive. Afterwards, they can send the message to their friends.

Movie actor An Sung Ki, announcer Son Bum Soo, actress Lee Bo Young, among other UNICEF spokespeople and celebrities, including Son Ho Young, Yoo Seung Ho, 2PM, Kim Bum, Wonder Girls, miss A, San E, Joo, Sung Yuri, Eugene, Kim Gyuri, Song Joong Gi, Park Min Young, Lee Chung Ha, Lee Kwang Soo, John Park, and Seo Kyung Duk, have participated in the promotional video and birthday campaign as well.

The secretary general of the Korean committee for UNICEF, Park Dong Woon, said,

“About 8 million children die before they can celebrate their 5th birthday. Through my birthday donation I can give the gift of a birthday to a poor child. Once a year, people celebrate their birthdays with their acquaintances, if that day were to become a day of donation, I anticipate that it will be a way in which people can joyfully experience donations in their normal lives.“

Wow, not only a new Real Wonder Girls video, but also a new Sunye video!!! *o* Finally some updates!!! =D So happy ^^

For the Real Wonder Girls video, I like that the video has good reactions (the comments). I hope that the fans are ready to wait a little more for WonderGirls =) About the video, all the girls look so pretty WOW! Sohee was just adorable in the beginning and at the end =D I love when she said "See you~" with her hand gesture *cuuute*. Also the Sohee-Hyerim-Yubin moment, haha I love Sohee's reaction XD No SoLim, no SoBin, but YULIM =D Yubin looks perfect. I love her hair like this!!! and her laugh was really cute =) Hyerim was cute too ^^ The SunLim moment =D Sunye looks like she's Hyerim's mother when she touched Hyerim's chin XD Yeeun looks so beautiful~ I think I'm used to blonde hair now (finally) she is so confident in this video. Always laughing and smiling ^^ and she did some cute expressions XD Sunye looks so pretty but we didn't see her a lot ^^" I need more Sunye! XD But it's alright because now we have Sunye singing at church =) I love it everytime we have videos of Sunye singing at church. She's like an angel =) I love her voice so much.

I think today is a nice day XD If we could have this kind of updates everyday it would be perfect XD More Real Wonder Girls videos!!! =D

Btw, G-Soul will compete again at Apollo Theatre in 15 June, I think Wonder Girls will show up to support him( so if u guys live in NY, go to the theatre to meet them lol). It hard to believe G-Soul trained for nearly half of his life, when qoxie stated he was born in 1988, Im so shock cuz i think he is the oldest male artist in JYPE right now . Many ppl complain why he cant debut, JYP waste his talent blah blah, but it does not mean JYP dont want him debut, just he hasnt get the opportunity yet , he live in NY, attend university and trained, and join many contest for experience ( well, even if he didnt debut to be a singer, he had USA degree ) , so i hope he can debut next year, cuz he is so hard working, if next year he can debut, it will be 11/12 years of training . Wonder Girls must be success in US, so they can help a hard working guy like G-Soul has more chance to debut in US.

[TV리포트 이혜미 기자] 작곡가 용감한형제가 걸 그룹 원더걸스와의 악연(?)을 소개했다.

15일 방송된 MBC TV ‘황금어장-무릎팍도사’에서는 ‘사람들이 내 노래를 내가 만든 것이 맞느냐고 의심을 한다’라는 고민의 용감한형제가 출연했다. 용감한형제는 손담비의 ‘미쳤어’ ‘토요일 밤에’ 브라운 아이드 걸스의 ‘어쩌다’ 등을 탄생시킨 인기 작곡가다.

이날 방송에서 손담비의 ‘미쳤어’의 성공에 대해 “너무 잘 돼서 나도 깜짝 놀랐다”라고 회상한 용감한형제가 이어진 브라운아이드걸스의 ‘어쩌다’ 성공에 대해 “일주일 간격을 두고 나왔다. 1, 2위를 다퉜는데 이럴 수도 있구나 싶었다”라고 털어놨다.

“솔직히 기대도 안 했었다”라는 것이 용감한형제의 설명. 그러나 ‘미쳤어’와 ‘어쩌다’가 승승장구하는 그 사이 강적이 등장했다. 박진영이 작사 작곡한 원더걸스의 ‘노바디’가 바로 그것으로 용감한형제는 “1, 2위를 할 줄 알았는데 2, 3위로 밀렸다”라고 씁쓸하게 말했다.

이어 ‘미쳤어’의 공전의 히트 후 후속곡에 대한 부담감이 어마어마했다고 털어놓은 용감한형제는 “두 달 가까이 고민을 했는데도 곡이 안 나오는 거다. 그런데 순간 곡이 떠올랐고 20분 동안 미친 듯이 만들었다”라고 ‘토요일 밤에’의 탄생비화를 공개했다.

용감한형제가 원더걸스 '노바디'에 굴욕을 당한 사연을 공개했다.

6월15일 방송된 MBC '황금어장-무릎팍도사'에서 작곡가 용감한형제(강동철)는 비슷한 시기 손담비의 '미쳤어'와 브라운아이드걸스 '어쩌다'까지 연속 대박을 만들었던 이야기를 했다.

두 곡은 가요 프로그램에서 1, 2위를 다툴 정도로 큰 성공을 거뒀다. 용감한형제는 "살다보니 이런 경우도 있더라"며 "사실 '어쩌다'는 기대도 안했는데 두 곡이 상위권에 올랐다"고 털어놨다.

이어 "두 곡이 모두 상위권에 있는데 하필 원더걸스 '노바디'가 나왔다. (내 곡이)1, 2위 할 줄 알았는데 2위 3위로 밀려버리더라"고 말해 웃음을 자아냈다.

Sunye I can't be any prouder to be her fan. Shes just so damn angelic (no ones perfect but shes as close as it gets).

Nice to see WGs still working hard on the album. I really wish they will get some type of pay off for all their effort.

It's a wall-in-the-hole bubble tea place in Apgujeong, Seoul.

More of a SME artistes' hangout since their HQ is in the neighborhood.
