Rain And VIXX Ravi’s Soundtrack For Chinese Drama ‘Diamond Lover’ Tops QQ Music's K-pop Chart

Rain and VIXX's Ravi participated in singing a soundtrack for the Chinese drama Diamond Lover.

The soundtrack of the same name was featured in the drama's very first episode on July 22. "Diamond Lover" featuring Rain's dreamy voice and Ravi's powerful rap drew explosive responses immediately after the drama's release and topped QQ Music's K-pop chart.

When asked to comment on his experience of working with Rain, Ravi commented, "I've always had a great admiration for Rain as a world star. I felt honored to work with him and feature in his soundtrack."

Diamond Lover also received media's spotlight for starring Rain, who plays the role of a diamond company's CEO, Xiao Liang.

Hi azuvilla, thanks for sharing this great news about his lending his voice to his C-drama. I'm happy for RAIN! I hope he could do more projects in his own land. I'm also happy about the drama - "Diamond Lover" will remain as a good and solid drama that's supported by a strong cast. A movie or another drama next is fine..... IDK but I have a feeling that his next work is a movie in Korea, that is! Wait & see.....I was hoping for another album but he just recently denied this so, this is out surely this year. Life-size wax figures of K-pop stars and Hollywood movie stars are on display at Grevin Museum Seoul, which opened Thursday in Seoul (Grevin Museum)

 

Leading K-pop stars, such as Psy, G-Dragon and Rain and dozens of other Korean celebrities, as well as historic and sports figures, have been brought to life in wax models at the Grevin Museum opening in Seoul on Thursday.

The French wax museum’s first Asian branch presents 80 life-size wax models of world-renowned figures and celebrities, including 30 Koreans.

“We decided Seoul to be our first destination for Grevin Museum in Asia because the city has rich history and strong cultural content. From here, the Hallyu boom has spread throughout Asia,” said Dominique Marcel, CEO of the Compagnie des Alpes, which operates the museum, at a press conference Wednesday at the Grevin Museum in Seoul. The French firm also runs ski resorts and leisure facilities around the world.

The Seoul museum, located near Myeong-dong, Seoul‘s hottest shopping district, presents wax figures of movie stars, celebrities, historic figures and politicians in the four-story building from the Japanese colonial era in the early 1900s.

The wax figures are on display in different themed rooms.

Popular Korean actors, such as Bae Yong-joon, Jang Dong-gun, Kwon Sang-woo and Song Seung-heon, greet visitors to a movie awards red carpet scene.

The television studio titled “Hallyuwood” features popular Korean actors and actresses, such as Kim Soo-hyun, Park Shin-hye, Lee Min-ho, Jang Keun-suk and Hyun Bin, filming shows and movies.

“This is the world’s biggest exhibition featuring Hallyu stars ranging from the first generation stars to the latest ones,” said Kim Yong-gwan, president of Grevin Korea.

Hollywood movie stars are also on view in interactive settings. Brad Pitt and George Clooney stand side by side, watching visitors play roulette. Robert De Niro welcomes visitors to a dimly lit bar.

U.S. President Barrack Obama, Queen Elizabeth II and secretary-general of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon are gathered in the same aircraft, accompanied by the noise and tremor felt in an actual flying aircraft.

The museum also attempts to impress visitors with a state-of-the-art audio and light system that helps them be fully immersed in the viewing experience and take quality selfies and photos.

It expects to receive 450,000 visitors per year, including foreign tourists from other Asian countries, including China and Japan.

“We found a great potential in Seoul for attracting many other Asian tourists. We hope the Grevin Seoul is one of the tourist attractions that tourists don’t want to miss,” said Marcel.

The museum plans to add four to five new models each year in addition to the current list of figures.

At the end of the museum tour, visitors can learn the steps of making wax figures and make their own wax figure with the special software that scans one’s face and turns it into a three-dimensional image.

Compagnie des Alpes runs Grevin wax museums in Paris, Montreal and Prague. The first museum opened in 1882 in Paris.

Tickets to the Seoul museum cost 23,000 won ($20) for adults, 18,000 won for teenagers and 15,000 won for younger children.

France's Grevin wax museum opens in Seoul

France's renowned wax museum, Musee Grevin, will open in Seoul, Thursday.

The museum, in the former City Hall Eulji-ro building, features 80 wax effigies of hallyu stars as well as global celebrities and Korean historical figures.

The latest opening is Grevin's first in Asia and it is the first museum to exhibit the likenesses of hallyu stars.

The still-life lineup of 20 hallyu stars includes "figure queen” Kim Yu-na, retired soccer icon Park Ji-sung, pop stars Psy, Rain and G-Dragon, actors Bae Yong-joon, Kim Soo-hyun and Jang Dong-gun, and actresses Kim Tae-hee and Park Shin-hye.

 

Among the 15 foreign stars are Al Pacino, Bruce Lee, Marilyn Monroe, George Clooney, Angelina Jolie, Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan.

Other figures include U.S. President Barack Obama, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Pope Francis, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, Korean historic naval commander Yi Soon-shin and historic artist and poet Shin Saimdang.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government signed a business agreement with Grevin's holding company in 2013 to open the museum.

The city government expects it to become a notable attraction for Chinese tourists who have fervor for Korean celebrities.

During the press conference for SBS drama 'Yong Pal' on July 30, actress Kim Tae Hee personally addressed the constant circulation of marriage rumors regarding her and her beau, Rain

It has been three years since they first started dating.  "If I were to tell the truth," she began, "of course we talked to each other about [marriage] while dating, but we've never made concrete plans or taken any form of action.  I, like everyone else, don't know at all whom or how I would marry.  

 

"I don't have any plans, but [the media] keeps making plans [for me], so I feel a bit burdened.  Please understand that I'm not in the situation to explain multiple times that each and every thing [regarding the topic] is not true or to take action."

Kim Tae-Hee attended the production presentation of SBS new Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Yong-Pal’ held at Mokdong SBS building on 30th, and mentioned about her official lover Rain.
Kim Tae-Hee said. “There is no specific cheers from Rain. We do our each work hard.”
Rain and Kim Tae-Hee officially admitted their relationship after the report on 2013, and keep their relationship as the representative top star couple of Korea. Lately they got involved in the rumor of romance, and made an issue.

Hi everyone! Hope all have a good weekend! 

I'm watching another artistic acting of our super star, Rain who is a prodigy in playing every role,  in "The Fugitive: Plan B",  a romance comedy action drama.

A worth watching drama in which Rain as Ji Woo acts wonderful in a comical role; He looks so hot and sexy especially while running or getting beaten.  

I love all the cast; they polish each other's roles by submitting a wonderful acting, and that's very pleasant that so many handsome actors are gathered in this drama!  

Till now I've watched 5 eps and eagerly make time for the rest.

I think Rain has the charisma and agility for playing in  breath taking, serious action films very artistically. 

Anyway he makes every role so magnificent and spectacular, from the most comic to the most serious roles.
